Mitch Barnhart and Bubba Watson are two of the only people on earth who always button the top button on a polo. Very little more needs to be said about either one of them.
You can say that Barnhart has done a TON for UK while also agreeing it would be a huge breath of fresh air for someone else to take over at this point. Pretty much where I am with it. His dismissive response to the checkerboard hate (over 80% disapproval in both the KSR and HL polls iirc) was enough for me.

-I've come around a bit on Bubba. He'll never be a guy I actively root for, but I don't hate him anymore. Him volunteering to Asst Captain at the Ryder Cup and genuinely eating up every second of it (after being snubbed as the World #7) went a long way with me.
He also donated most of his winnings last weekend to charity, so at least he backs up his little softie act where it matters (while still being a colossal ******* sometimes)
Btw, he's won 3 times this year already :eyes: - which kinda came out of nowhere.
-Patti's is as solid as it gets for country food. Plus, the best cheesesticks on earth. Lol at PTI(pti) calling it "extremely overrated". When was the last time, if ever, you ate there?

I don't know, that's kind of nuanced thinking. You can't have it both ways. Either Mitch is the Best AD in College Sports Ever, or he's the Worst. There's no middle ground. Try to post that kind of logic on Twitter. /Facetiousness
Among other things that I won't list, he doesn't get enough flak for saying he was retiring in 1 year, then having Dr. Todd hand him a non-Board-approved long term extension package on Dr. Todd's way out the door in the dead of summer. Not exactly "FIRST CLASS" there, Mitch.
Yes, he has been a damn good AD and in many ways, perhaps UK's best (sadly, that's a pretty low bar without much competition). However, he has also done some very frustrating things that have been discussed ad nauseum.
A mixed bag, of sorts.
I just hope Cal outlasts Mitch, as Id rather him not be anywhere near the post cal era hire process.

I've never listened to the Foreplay Pod. I listen to maybe 1 podcast (episode) per month, and that's being generous.

In all seriousness, if you’ve never listened to the Foreplay pod you need to get on that. Only one episode a week so it’s not a crazy amount of content. But it is very good. It’s them and No Laying Up for me every week.

I've actually only listened to 2 of the NLU -- Bones (after the split) and CPG...I just worship their Twitter. I enjoy a podcast when mowing sometimes and on airplanes, but I really don't understand when you guys listen to all these.

I both want Wendell Carter's mom to keep talking and stfu at the same time.
Wasn't Carter the one that strung along his recruitment saying that UK was his dream school and that he wanted to hear from us...but Cal wasn't buying it and didn't give him the time of day? Basically, he and Capel were trolling UK to get us to waste time and resources recruiting him.
