I'm all for anything that paints Duke and Krzyzewski in a negative light, but the Carters just seem like the most naive helicopter parents out there and it feels like they would have had the same things to say no matter where their son went to college.

Equally skeptical of the stuff that came out about Semi Ojeleye after he had that good game in the playoffs for the Celtics.

Not sure Duke did anything wrong here except make Wendell Carter the fourth option at best on offense during most of their games.

Or Capel and K blow smoke up these kids’ asses and people don’t appreciate being blatantly lied to. Not the first we’v heard of this. Thornton said the same exact thing.

Semi Ojelye’s mom didn’t have kind things to say about K either.

But Chad, kids are idiots. Kentucky missed out on a ton of recruits in the class of 2015 because opposing coaches - Jeff Capel chiefly among them - convinced them that since Kentucky platooned in '15, they'd keep doing it and thereby limit minutes, even though John doesn't like to play more than 8 in a rotation outside of strange circumstances.

It's the job of the parents to sift through the crap.

Now Derryck Thornton got railroaded. I really like that kid and he basically got guilt tripped into reclassifying, then didn't play.

Richie seems to be slowly removing himself from GYERO entirely. Sad
The highly anticipated events that I knew would be great for GYERO ie SAE’s nuptials/childbirth, Chad’s domestication certainly hit the mark.

Richie’s major life events really fizzled from a posting standpoint. Way more composed/reserved than I’d have guessed.

I know it sounds greedy but SAE having a son would really get his nostalgia train pumping down the tracks....if you could get on that SAE that’d be dope.

New Zealand Rugby docuseries “All or Nothing” on Prime Video is their new version of Hard Knocks.

Are they the UK basketball of rugby or are we the NZ of college basketball?

Fans are EXACTLY the same.

The addition of Travis Reid hasn’t fully sunk in yet for me.

An All-American caliber senior big man with a nice handle was just added to the finest collection of pure talent in the land. Mercy.

Tough to grasp, really. I suppose the closest type of late addition like this was Jason Parker, but he of course was only a freshman.

My 2 original blue Rupp Arena chairs (that I paid a Cat's Pause guy $50 for when he dug them out of the dumpster about 16 years ago) are going to be anchored into the wall in the game room area.

Guessing that's the same dude I bought mine off of. Think I met him at Shillito Park to pay him for the goods. What an idiotic move by the city to just dump those old seats. Threw away millions.

If it's possible I think Boat may get harder for The Donald than UKO. I'm not sure which one could take the bigger load, but I'm fairly certain either one of them would gladly get on their knees and suck him dry if they sensed even the slightest opportunity.

As long as I got a signed 8x10 afterwards.

- I started a new job last fall and am now operating as a commercial lender. There’s been a learning curve transitioning to commercial and I’ve been focusing on drumming up some business. We’re also in the process of being acquired by a credit union based out of Evansville but will operate under the brand name Liberty Financial.

- Lil Lass #2 is due next month. I’m really excited. WE CAN’T DECIDE ON A NAME THOUGH.

- Lil Lass #1 is 20 months. She’s basically a toddler now. I love seeing her personality develop. She’s full speed, never stays still and is really starting to talk... Even with some broken sentences. When I get home from work she gets worked up in a frenzy and starts banging on the door. She also points to anything UK related in the basement and says “DaDa”. Warms my heart.

- I’m really intrigued to see how this football team does. I suppose we have the most talent from top to bottom than maybe we’ve ever had but there’s the QB question mark & the schedule is tougher. Hopefully Terry Wilson has a quick learning curve. I really want a true dual threat QB. We’ve never had one.

- I’m trying to wrap my mind around what this basketball team will play like. There can be so many lineup combinations with length, power, size & speed. It’s nice when you don’t have to count on the incoming freshmen to carry all of the load. You have a greater margin of error with the depth & experience.

Hagans is going to be a dog. Quickly will be a nice change of pace. Methodical. He’s better than most realize.

I hope the shooting is as good as some think it will be. I’d really like to see Cal speed up the game and want more possessions. I get that you have to be able to grind because it’s easier to slow teams down than speed them up & confence play is always a slugfest but still... Let’s play to our strengths.

- I went to Lake Cumberland last weekend. We had a houseboat at Jamestown Marina. My parents’ friends took us out on their cruiser on Friday night and Saturday. I hadn’t been there in almost 15 years. Man.. What a beautiful lake. The water looked & felt clean. I forgot how big the lake is.

I see why people head to a lake on the weekends. You don’t worry about anything. You’re not driving , doing crap around the house, running errands, etc. Such a relaxing state of mind being on the water.

- Other than all that it’s basically ice cold domestos on the weekend mixed in with some tennis & pool time.

Just checked out Amazon, and they product recommended a variety of Crocs to me. Ugh.

I’ve got to quit associating with you people. Next thing you know, we’ll all be on the same cycle.

The Amazon knowing what you’re looking at/discussing online is creepy enough but when my wife and I are talking about looking for a new car and maybe send a few emails back and forth about it and then start getting letters and emails from dealerships- that’s when I start to consider going off the grid.
