I read somewhere that we’re dropping about 100 bombs per day on 7-8 different countries. We also have between 800-1,000 military bases spread out over 80 different countries and it costs between $80-100B yearly just to keep them open. How would you run the military?
Doesn’t Anth run a business? Surely the reduced revenue doesn’t have to be explained?
C'mon Anthony!!! Not sure if you are just Ef'n with them just to Ef with 'em...but this county's nat'l security has been on a very slippery-slope w all the idiot IS groups out there (esp. within Europe), India, N. Korea, et al. and now is the time, (obviously), to take it back to the level it needs to be imo.
Why all the backlash here? Aren't you the very least bit concerned about your own personal safety?
This should be a NO-Brainer....imo.
I mean it's not staring at pictures all day but accounting for 200 people daily would be considered running a business I think. Granted I'm not a MD... oh wait.Doesn’t Anth run a business? Surely the reduced revenue doesn’t have to be explained?
There hasn't been a major war since the 40s. I'm more likely to get struck by lightning than a terrorist. My personal safety is just fine. Money for defense is great but looking around a bunch of countries do it pretty well by spending a lot less. Education, infrastructure and defense in that order.
Speaking of, Grunt is an excellent book on obscure military investments. Highly recommend.
Those Wisconsin and West Virginia losses sure did suck.
We went to war with freaking Afghanistan.

How about that Florida football game too?
Turning you into a "doctor" should be proof enough of our tremendous waste in government spending.

Not saying we have to go to Cold War levels of readiness, but a strong and active military is crucial in today's atmosphere.
~ Speaking of politics, I'm finding the more I talk to people, the less likely they are to bring up politics.
Thanks, Wayne- keep us updated on your experiences differ from Mark Ruffalo’s.
