True, he made a great play, then went bonkers, but the guy who deserves more of the blame at the end for the Cavs losing is George Hill. He is an 81% FT shooter but basically got the "yips" and choked on the equivalent of a four-foot putt if not shorter. There were 4.7 seconds, and his make of that final FT would've made things very difficult for the Warriors. Let's putr it this way: the Cavs stood a much better chance of winning on that free throw than on any shot Smith could have gotten off in the paint. If anyone deserves to be thrown under the bus, it should be Hill.

Let's be real. Hill missing is definitely choking, but not knowing the score in the NBA finals and running the clock out tied with the ball is the equivalent to chris Weber calling TO with none left. JR was the only player on the court unsure of the score, a historically dumb move.

I agree, not only stupid, but he let his team down by not knowing something as fundamental as the score...something you should learn in junior pro, but we've seen it happen occasionally on all levels. If Hill hits the FT, none of that happens, although that too was no guarantee of a Cleveland victory.

Fair enough. It would have increased their 0% chance to 1-2% IMO. Warriors are vastly superior....Warriors didn't play well in Game 1 and Lebron had 50+. I doubt either of those happen tomorrow and for the vast majority of the series moving forward. Good luck Cleveland Lebrons.

LOL at "the next decade." So you think he's still gonna be this dominant force in his 40s?

Lebron turns 34 this year. Nobody in the entire history of the sport has continued to be the best player past the age of 34. It's true that Lebron seems super-human, but in reality he is a human being. Folks should appreciate the magic of what he's doing, because it ain't gonna last all that much longer.

And it doesn't get to that point if they don't overturn a judgement call.

Or call fouls in favor of KD on 2 clean strips while ignoring LJ getting hammered in the final minutes.

None of those calls would have went against Jordan once he became the face of the league; especially not at the end of his career in an NBA finals game where he dropped 50.

Was it against Miss. St. that Sean Woods drove for the lay-up at the final horn, while down 3, then danced around looking foolish until he realized his team mates weren't joining him in his "victory" celebration?
