Graduated in 1998. Took me five years, but it was more fun that I could put into words.
Class of 2014, may have bad the best 4 year stretch (well take out the NIT). Three final fours, 2 title games, and 1 national championship. I was truly blessed to be there during those years. BS in biology for me
Oh man, I couldn't even imagine those years! Three title games in a row. I was just a young kid then, and I remember my dad would sneak upstairs to wake me up in the second half to let me watch (mom didn't want me up that late). Some great memories, but I bet campus was a blast. College is seriously one of the best experiences.I was living on campus in 96-97-98. That was absolutely crazy. Euclid and Woodland turned into a Mardi-Gras situation.
And it appears both choices were wise decisions. He is getting paid piles of cash for essentially a dream career for any UK fan.I am a UK grad and my children and wife. I met my wife while a UK student.
We talk about Matt Jones going to Duke by remember that was post graduate. Law school. His undergrad choice of college was Transylvania, not UK. For those who do not know Transy is in Lexington and it a school for rich people or people "in the know" with Blue Blood (not UK Blue Blood) old money Blue Blood.
He could have went to college out of high school to the other Lexington school (UK) but chose Transy.
What too dumb to cut it at ole vandy? Lol I kid.Vanderbilt two years; finished up at UK in the late 70s

Yep. Where one goes to school is completely irrelevant. But to criticize him for taking a full ride to Duke law school shows a level of stupidity that is mind boggling.Undergrad (BA) at WKU (4 yr), but Grad-school (MS) at UK (2 yr) so I would qualify.
Although I think wanting actual UK grads is a silly request. Just as silly as if we required our coach to be a UK grad (which would have meant the only one of our coaches since and including Rupp that we could have hired was Hall). UK represents the state, not just its graduates.
MJ went to law school at Duke, but maybe I'm wrong but I thought he went to undergrad somewhere in KY. I know when he was at Duke he was an active poster on the old CatsPause site, and he ran a fantasy college basketball league that I participated in.
1 year at ECC (UK affiliated then), then transferred to Freed-Hardeman in Tennessee and masters at Campbellsville.
2 kids currently at UK.
WKU '90 but a UK fan as were 80% of WKU students. I wanted to go to UK but scholarships from WKU is why I chose there.
SpEd grad from WKU here. Got a son at UK now.Masters is special ed. UK. Just this past December.
You should have stopped at “I went”.I went, twice, but I don't think that has a lot to do with being a UK fan. The Kentucky Wildcats have for decades been the Commonwealth's team, from Pikeville to Paducah and all points in between. My entire family on both sides and all my close friends are avid Cat fans, but only a handful went to UK. With no pro sports and fewer diversions, perhaps, than many states- and with a legendary winning tradition begun by Rupp- Kentuckians, and not just alumni, have embraced this program with a fervor that has few parallels in American sports. And whether they ever stepped foot on the campus, or even Lexington, that legion of fans has spread around the world, inculcating their children and other family members with a love for the Cats.
It's part of the charm and magic of the Big Blue Nation. Most schools' fanbases are composed primarily of alumni, but in Kentucky, the CATS belong to us all.
