-Bevin may have messed up with his handling of this teacher/pension situation, but in a few years when Ky has charter schools because of legislation he signed last year we will all be happier.

- I always look for positives, and buy one get one free blizzards in the middle of April is all I got for yesterday’s weather.

- My MIL/FIL are asking me to rent my house that’s for sale to our uncle that just got evicted. The kicker is they have a pet rabbit that would be a good pet for my boys, and it’s trained. o_O

- I hate reading, but I have really gotten into reading up on Niccolò Machiavelli over the past week or so. Probably the most interested I’ve been in something educational since Calculus or trig.

Considering he was a national champion, it’s kinda surprising how Marquis Teague is consistently an afterthought in discussions like this. Dude averaged 10 points and 5 assists on a loaded championship squad. Was a fantastic defender. Had the second-most points (14, inc three big 3s) in title game against Kansas. I wouldn’t put him 1 at PG but it really surprises me he doesn’t even get mentioned, really ever.

* The Pearl Jam Station on XM replayed a Rupp Arena concert from 2003 this morning. Pretty awesome show. I imagine a few of you were probably in attendance. Lucky bastards.

* I hope to have a ginger and Basil with Huber at some point Saturday night. Miss that dude.

* I hope Boat doesn't meet me at the door with a bottle of tequila again. Actually, strike that. I hope he does.

I'll try not to end the night playing the spatula drums in the Schem's back yard this time.

* Hopefully, the influx of Campbell County natives will class Keeneland up a bit.

* I'm officially back to my normal fat self - 235ish. The super megafat version of me is gone... for a while at least. Hopefully this weekend doesn't derail my plan to reach somewhat human status by June.

I'd like the weather to cooperate and help out my goal of pounding the pavement a little bit. Running produces the best results for me, but I hate the treadmill. I just got a hand-me-down one from a coworker, though.

* Cincy area peeps, the Nike store in Rookwood has a great little UK section. No OSU, no UC, no Xavier, just Kentucky. I like it.

* Enjoy your lunch, GYERO.

:100points: Rack this.

Teague gets lost in the shuffle because: (1) that 2011-2012 team was flat loaded; and (2) he didn't have to score like Wall, Knight or Fox (or even SGA).

That said, he may have been one the better true PGs in Cal's tenure. During the 2012 NCAA-T, he averaged 13.3ppgs with a 4.8/2.5 assit to turnover ratio. :fire::fire:

- I’m not so sure Andrew Harrison wouldn’t have been just as solid on that ‘12 squad.

- Bledsoe’s a tough one to evaluate, especially as a 2G.

- Liggins and Knight get a bump from me for their efforts the second weekend of the ‘11 NCAA.

- Murray and Monk are close but I thought Monk was slightly better on both offense and defense.

- Considered Knox but was he really any better than James Young? Nope.

Terrence Jones has to be top forward - huge contributor on two great teams and a national champion. Lots of ups and down during his 2 years which makes him more endearing to me.

Marquis Teague deserves a lot of credit for being one of the only players to actually play their best ball of the season during the tournament.

Kevin Knox lost to K State and Bruce Weber.

Rolleyes.
So did John Vincent Calipari. I guess we have to rank him below Hobo Drunk now......

The latest Sam Vecenie pod just eviscerates this incoming class. If PJ wanted to come back and contend for a lottery pick he probably could. I bet Cal is telling guys like Hagans that they could come in and go lottery just based on the low level NBA talent in this group.

Sadly, Knox probably could have moved up to top 5 a maybe wouldn't have needed to improve all that much to do so.

Boston Marathon was an absolute **** show yesterday. Of the elite pro's 23 bailed on the race. Ice, wind, rain. A Japanese dude who looks 90 won and an American female. The 2nd place female was a nurse, not even a pro runner. Slowest female time in like 30-40 years.

Sports are great.

You know something's up when you see so many American flags in the top 10.

Don't know that PJ is ever lottery but he could be first round by just working on that shot a little.

But yeah, this is the weakest class is a long time.

Hopefully that was in jest. No way were calling running a “sport” now, right?

In no circumstance ever would you have a football player say, “Guys, I know it’s the NFC Championship Game but weather is looking pretty gnarly. Gonna be some rain and below desirable temps. Think I’ll pass on this one boys.”

Much less, the Super Bowl of running like the Boston Marathon.

Competitive distance running is absolutely a sport. You do realize a quite a few runners were treated for hypothermia, right?

The elite runners run the major marathons to make money. And I'd say almost none of the elite runners had trained in any conditions similar to what Boston was yesterday, so it's a decision to save the body yesterday to make money somewhere else in a couple weeks. Doesn't have anything to do with whether or not it's a sport.

Pretty sure a few World Series games have been cancelled/postponed due to weather.
Well that’s because the MLB is stupid and plays a summer sport in 70-100 degree weather all season but let the WS slide into November where now we’re playing in freezing temps. Makes zero sense.
