Is the guard you are talking about leaving Green?
Probably means Pulliam. :sunglasses:

I was thinking maybe Hami.He hasn't announced yet.Probably means Pulliam. :sunglasses:
Wendell Carter just declared, another that will go ahead of PJ.
Any scout that says he is a first rounder isn't a good one unless PJ has somehow magically developed a nasty midrange and three point jumper. Why come back if the scouts tell him he will be a 1st round draft pick. I wouldn't be surprised if PJ plays so well that he slides up to the top 15. His versatility will be a big plus at the next level.
You tripping PJ will be nice at the next level.

Okay let's pray he doesn't grow 3 inches and learn how to shoot overnight.
You basing his FT shooting on that last game. Wow
If the scouts project anyone as a first round pick 96.89% chance they are gone :uzi:If a NBA scout calls me and says I'm a first round pick I'm leaving the board, there is only a marginally greater chance they will tell P J the same thing.
23.8% from 3
60.6% from FT line
That is more than one game of missed FTs.
he has to learn to shoot the ball at his size. He was just a power player for uk with o range on his shot no chance he is a first round pick this yearWhy come back if the scouts tell him he will be a 1st round draft pick. I wouldn't be surprised if PJ plays so well that he slides up to the top 15. His versatility will be a big plus at the next level.
you mean he rather be in the pros and not at uk. the nerve. He has as much business going pro as Brad does...if PJ leaves then he just doesnt want to be here
To be honest, who says at this point he’s going to be a pro? Maybe a euro proyou mean he rather be in the pros and not at uk. the nerve.
is that not pro? you missed the point anyway. the troll is suggesting he doesn’t want to be at uk whether a pro career is certain or not. which is why he compared him to brad.To be honest, who says at this point he’s going to be a pro? Maybe a euro pro
Brad is not PJ, that’s for sure. But I’m just saying PJ is not in any position to be trying for the Pros. Just my opinion, and I don’t think European ball seems like a good life for a 19 year old, but that’s just me. “The Troll” lolis that not pro? you missed the point anyway. the troll is suggesting he doesn’t want to be at uk whether a pro career is certain or not. which is why he compared him to brad.
He has potential to be an all star player like Green
For everyone saying that PJ isn't an elite athlete he tested out with a 43.5 max vertical......pretty sure that's very elite.
He has a dilemma for sure. Cal is not going to let him be shooting 3s and mid-range jumpers next year. Probably won't get to do that in the G league either.
Just not a great prospect imo. Doesn't mean he can't make it if he wants to work hard enough, but he's not a can't miss guy.
I could see him leaving irregardless.
You're on crack if you think he's the highest jumper in basketball. That's hami status and I'm not sure his record breaking vertical was that high though I think it was exactly 43.5. Either way. No way in hell does he jump a legit 43.5.For everyone saying that PJ isn't an elite athlete he tested out with a 43.5 max vertical......pretty sure that's very elite.
Yes. I have heard Gabriel leaning towards leaving but not final and also Vanderbilt will return !!!!! Sucks if we only bring back only 3 guys from a 11 loss team. Only at Kentucky . Espically since I expected back at least 5 or 6. Gonna be extremely young again next season. The cal haters will be out in full force and so will our fans when something goes wrong this season and we lose a couple we shouldn't. Potentially our starting backcourt could feature 2 kids that should be seniors in highschool. A freshman at small forward and forward and a sophomore at center. Hagans , maxey , johnson , Montgomery and Richards !!!! Think vando will be our sixth man. With quickly and herro getting good minutes. I think we definitely need another big. Just hope cal can get one of the 19 bigs to move up. Or maybe a grad transfer if needed. I'm hope I'm totally wrong but it's more likely than not imo.So you’re hearing Green will be gone as well? What have you heard about Gabriel and Vanderbilt?

It's funny a lot of you all on this board is talking about the kid and his decision but if he comes back you would be singing a different tune. It's his and his family's business not yours. I can just tell you now he will test off the charts and cal will get him on the list of invited to the combine. And a gm will take a chance on him. They drafted Daniel orton in the first round. He could also get a second round pick gaurntee like Jodie Meeks got. So let's be happy whichever way it goes but go ahead and prepare yourself he leaves. But it will be funny for me watching you all that are being crybaby adults about him thinking of leaving, be all over him and saying how good he would be at Kentucky next season. I want him back as a fan but I understand some kids don't wanna be in college and take risk to go pro as quickly as possible.A 6'7 center with no skills besides scoring under the rim. Before the KSU game though I liked him a lot but my nickname for him all season long was Mr 1 for 2. Because I dont feel like I've ever seen him go 2 for 2 at the line. The ksu game was icing on the cake he looked like his legs were shaking before each free throw never seen pressure get to someone so much before during a UK game.
With those declaring already, it is hard to imagine PJ would be in the first round. For instance, the big German kid at Michigan, he was great in the tourney so wouldn't you pick him before PJ? That kid has a number of offensive moves, could shoot from the outside, drive the ball, quick, physical and yet I read he is considered a "late" first round pick. So how would PJ jump ahead of him? PJ could get there but certainly isn't anywhere near that skilled in comparison yet. Similar to Diallo, work on shooting, defending, and other fundamentals would seem to make sense. PJ also had a similar Diallo tendency to pass to the other team in kick-outs.
It's very confusing as to how these kids see themselves.
Grayson Allen is the only "tripper" in this draft class, but he will go higher than PJ if he decides to stay in the draft.:flushed:
This is a message board and you will see all kinds of comments and opinions on every thread. I'm ok with whatever he decides to do, nobody is making it their business, just stating what they think he should do based on what they have seen. You are right he could be like Orton and be out of the NBA real quick or get a a second round guarantee. There is a big difference Meeks could shoot the ball as good as anybody. PJ has said he loves Kentucky, if he does go it will be a risk. It's funny a lot of you all on this board is talking about the kid and his decision but if he comes back you would be singing a different tune. Pretty sure Gracie will stay in the draft !

/facepalm

How so? Green is competent from 3, he plays point forward, and he plays on a team that fits his strengths. He may have the potential to become like Green but he has not shown those abilities as of yet.
Huh? I think he can be a great college player and think he's already damn good and would be giddy as hell if he came back. But as of now his game doesn't translate to NBA at all. Doesn't mean he's not/can't be a great college player as I think he is/will be. Saying he's not nba ready and pointing out why has nothing to do with how great of a college player he can be. Some great college players out there who's game doesn't translate to nba. Washington appears to be one of them as of now at least. A 6'7 post up center can be lethal as all hell in college. Not in the NBA though you're crazy to think otherwise. He has the skills of a center and is a undersized PF.It's funny a lot of you all on this board is talking about the kid and his decision but if he comes back you would be singing a different tune. Also if you dont go at UK you have to worry about being recruited over...Next year you may be sitting on the bench and not get the time you need to develope..There are NBA guards taller than PJ. He'll need to play the 3. But he can't shoot.
Dude needs to come back. But at UK, if you don't go after your frosh season, then you're apparently a failure.
