McMahon, Nworra, and Sutton all played well for them this year. They aren't winning the ACC with that group. But they might win enough to get into the NCAA tournament.

Now they need to get their recruiting in gear or the following year could be abysmal. But Mack will probably land his share of players to keep them afloat.

They have VJ King most likely back and a few pretty decent young guys who were playing behind these departures, but they're going to be incredibly thin. They have 9 players and 2 are walk on guards who picked Louisville over Transy.

Perhaps you're right, I guess we will see. It would not bother me one bit for UofL to be terrible. I know it's not a popular opinion to say UofL might be good, it's just that I see enough talent to get things done. UofL missed the NCAA this year because they were relying on a head coach who had no idea what he was doing.

If he doesn't do that, the Cards likely fall off of the list."

I’m sure Mack will be an upgrade at coach but he’s not a miracle worker. Unless VJ King suddenly becomes a stud instead of the flop he’s been his first two years they will struggle big time next year. And I would imagine it’ll be a challenge for Mack to recruit at a high level for some time with even more NCAA trouble looming ahead for them. We could see some pretty horrible seasons for them in the next few years and I love it lol.

McMahon doesn't belong in Division 1 basketball. He launched a few 3s and made them and occasionally figured out how to draw cheap contact by flopping, etc. He knows he doesn't have any business being out there with the big boys. If he continues to play minutes for UofL, they are in big trouble and sure as hell won't make the tournament.

They didn't win enough to get into the Tourny this year. They lose arguably their 4 best players and add no one at this point. Chris Mack does not have a magic wand, nor does he walk on water

They have some freshmen that will be solid players next year, but their overall team isn't going to be very good. Not a lot of experience and only slightly above average talent. They will finish towards the bottom of the ACC and likely miss the tournament again. If NCAA sanctions don't come for a couple years, when Mack is in the middle of his rebuild attempts, it could be a long 5-6 years for UL fans.

VJ King and Malik Williams are the only players who could be above average..Darius perry will be ok, other than that they don't have much at all. I didn't know Spalding left until I read this thread. I doubt they even make the nit next year.
