I did say that.

#readingbetweenthetealeaves

Not in your original post which stated this all as fact, as if you had some kind of special connection.

Then you refuted my suggestion that it would be absurd for you to know something Kyle Tucker didn't, again implying that you had an inside scoop.

then you used a hashtag on a message board.

So if you're okay with all of the above behavior, carry on with your day. But it's bad posting and misleading and you knew that when you did it.

Calipari needs to adjust his recuriting a tad. If UK cannot get the TOP TOP TOP players like Wiseman, Zion, Barrett, Bagley and then we have the next tier showing up for like 10 games (vanderbilt, Diallo) and using us for the UK effect and bolting before they can contribute, but mutual success story that Calipari has in the past perfected is starting to become a one way street.

Vanderbilt and Diallo going pro is the most laughable thing in the world. Neither will be first rounders. UK cannot recurit kids that will go pro no matter what for none guaranteed money. It just is not healthy for ANY ONE INVOLVED. I am all for player geting paid ultimately, but non guaranteed money is just stupid.

Penny will get recruits, and talented ones at that. Wiseman and his fam do like Penny a bunch. It just shifted from 90% UK to 75% UK on Wiseman in my opinion. I hear Wiseman and Jeffries want to play together - so that may be a good thing. Add Brown to this equation and I think Memphis will be ok. Penny has a very good rep in the city and with the talent there already, add Brown, could be the beginning of a good ride for Memphis. All my opinion.

Reality is, despite all the wishful thinking here, that the point of signing Hardaway is exactly to bring on those recruits. It is not good to count on Wiseman or Jeffries as sure outcomes now. All will have to wait and see.

Josh pastner 2.0 got good recruits but couldn't coach. Penny maybe a better coach but it won't happen overnight

Oh ok...like anyone on this board has personal information like that. Figured you were smart enough to figure it out...I should not have assumed that either.

If I'm Penny I bring in an assistant to help with Xs n Os then another recruiter that knows the ends and ours maybe Antiqua fill our ur staff with a defensive guy and look out. Either way will be interesting to watch.

Larry Brown is interested in being his Asst Coach. LB is the best at X’s and O’s

How is Larry Brown even allowed to coach in the ncaa after all trouble he brings the schools coached.

I guess the same way Memphis is allowed to hire the head coach who already recruited a kid to his AAU program last year, then to a new high school where he coaches just a year ago and who will now try to recruit him to his college.

This is Kevin Ollie all over again but with even less coaching experience (and no chance at a Natty in year one)

I don't understand this hire. AAU straight to major college program. That's a big leap. I understand the recruiting piece; but just doesn't seem smart.
The recruiting park will only last a few years, because all of those AAU player won't be coached by him after he takes the Memphis job. He better hire himself a good veteran assistant.

Wiseman is not even guaranteed to play for anyone. Penny's people were pushing the idea Wiseman is his knowing full well it's not a guarantee. Memphis thought Kentucky was coming after Penny as an assistant and went ahead with this move. I believe that 100% and I bet Parrish says something about it.

Fact 1. Penny ran Wiseman's AAU team

Fact 2. Penny got a job in highschool in Memphis... Wiseman followed

Fact 3. strings were pulled in Tenn to allow Wiseman to play when he shouldnt have...

Fact 4. Memphis hired Penny for a reason.... it was to land recruits.

Im sorry to burst your bubbles but the odds of us landing wiseman are really low now.

It's all about recruiting. That's it. I wouldn't hire an AAU coach just to get recruits either but that's clearly what this is about.

Then again Memphis can take that leap. Their last couple coaches haven't turned out well.

Why don't you just wait to see what happens. A lot of people were stating categorically that Diallo was going to enter the last draft. A lot of people were saying that Vanderbilt would never play this season. A lot of people talk out of their asses.

Wiseman cares more about his future career than following his BFF coach from childhood. His family isn't going to just sign away Wiseman because they like to Netflix and chill with Penny. It's not a guarantee, not even close to one.

And Wiseman has to play college ball first. I still say I'll believe it when I see it.

OK, you have no experience, and are only being hired because of the presumed recruiting pipeline you can deliver....Can you imagine the pressure that will bring to bear to get those recruits? Is there a coach in the whole country who will be more pressured to break NCAA rules than Penny Hardaway?

#1 This has been done for months.

#2 Wiseman and his mother absolutely love Cal but Wiseman will play for Penny at Memphis...100%. And he will do so this next season.

#3 Cal knows this. Wiseman would have been at UK next season but with Penny...not happening. This is exactly why Cal has turned the heat up as high as it can go on E.J. Montgomery

Are you telling us some sort of inside information you've heard of are you just some random dude throwing out your opinion?

Fact 1: He's run it for years and Wiseman just joined this summer for a few months.

Fact 2: Penny has been at East for several years and Wiseman only joined this year.

Fact 3: Definitely, but Memphis is the sketchiest town in America.

Fact 4: Memphis hired Penny to recruit, but if he brings Lomax and Boyce and Lawson from East, that's still what they hired him to do. It doesn't have to be Wiseman. You can't make a head coaching hire for a kid who will play 30 games for you.

That's the thing. We see this stuff all the time with people posting in a fashion that makes it seem like they are in the know and have inside information, when that's almost never the case. I have zero problem with people posting their opinions, but it's annoying when they try to make themselves look like insiders.

I turned on ignored members to see what this was about.

Number 1 and 2 are not accurate. 3 months ago fans turner up the heat, sure. But what got the administration moving was lack of attendance. The boosters got scared they were going to miss a window and opportunity. They all made this push recently, when it became a real possibility that UK was trying to lure Penny. That pissed them off. Memphis supports Louisville over Kentucky these days, they hate us.

I think over the last few months it just grew together to make a perfect storm. There was no decisions made months ago. Totally false.

Cal just the other night on his show said that he has the hardest working staff around and was speaking very highly of them, there is no way he replaces anyone on his staff right just going on what he said. So I'm not buying the penny to kentucky story
