that is all. hate to see anyone lose their job but it is Kevin Stallings.
just saw theres another thread on this. think they owe him like $9.4 millWhat was the buyout?
10 mil I beleive
I never worry about coaches getting fired. That's typically where they make the most money. I'm concerned when people lose their income potential. For coaches however it's like getting a $10 million dollar bonus.that is all. hate to see anyone lose their job but it is Kevin Stallings.
Louisville should give him a look.
He's obviously a good coach (maybe not as good as I thought). But seems like this was a classic bad fit between coach and program.

I can't feel sorry for anybody with a 10 million dollar buyout , that alone makes him comfortable the rest of his life if he invests it right. If a schools willing to pay it I don't feel sorry for them either.
Not sure why people are worrying about his buyout. The school contracted him and they're the ones at fault. Have to think there's some issues other than a really bad year on the court..
Just put the money in an annuity that pays 5%. He would get $500k/yr without touching the principal. Not to mention that he has been paid well for several years and should have other money saved and invested.I can't feel sorry for anybody with a 10 million dollar buyout , that alone makes him comfortable the rest of his life if he invests it right. Unemployment checks sure have improved over the years...I would take that.
$10 million not to coach. To go away. To leave.
But all that money involved would ruin the game if players had it. Just like Tubby Smith can leave Texas Tech for more money and prestige, but it's poaching and terrible if a player transfers to a better program or opportunity.
Honest to God, there's a real live news story about Bam Adebayo maybe getting a $30 dinner at the Melting Pot. That's a scandal, but Kevin Stallings, with his mediocre resume` is freely given 7 figures *not* to do his job anymore. And some people don't see a problem with that.
