Kid can shoot. Nice form. Run some screens for this kid and he could be deadly. That type of player that opposing teams just hate seeing catch the ball.

But seriously, this guy is good. Highlights were almost all jumpers but he can still boom it on a fast break.
Nice to see a video where the player is shooting and making a lot of jump shots

I guess I am just old school but I enjoyed those teams that had the great shooters

I know Duke is getting the big names, but we are getting perfect players for what we need next year, it almost like Cal is actually trying to build a team next year not just get the best one and dones available. The key to next year in my mind is Washington and Richards coming back, which SHOULD happen.
These are the basketball players we need.

Can we not promote our future recruits and how well they are doing? Do you not realize how bad things are right now for Cal in recruiting?
I’m tempering my expectations for him as a freshman but I’m really glad we’ve got this kid coming in. He’s going to be a really important player as a sophomore/junior. I hope we get a Herro-like player in every class.
If he was going to Wisconsin he would be a four year starter and then off to the NBA. We would play them four years in a row in the tournament and average 25 each game he plays us. He will come he and average 7 pts a game. By the time the first semester is over, he will be looked at as a late first pick and all our fans will consider him gone. Hence the Kentucky effect

Everytime I watch him I walk away impressed with the team as a whole. Not to be racist, but its just a bunch of average looking white kids plus Herro. No ones super tall or athletic but they all crash the boards, can dribble, and pass. Theyre a super well coached team from the long 10+ minute highlight videos ive seen.
A while back, this class would have drawn a parade in downtown lex almost, now folks think UK's recruiting is not that good.

Nothing like Dekker . He is Booker or Meeks -esque . So annoying how people make comparisons based on color and not game. He, like Booker , is a kid who is athletic with some bounce ( though I wouldn't call him bouncy as that is Monk or Bam ) who can shoot from all over the floor with a good mid range game but has some skills getting to hole as well. Like Booker is being way underrated as Booker was one of the top 20 players in his class though not many realized . Herro IMO is one of the top 15 players at worst.
Now that is a funny post. Comparing Herro to Hood would be like comparing Woo or Jared carter to Cousins or T. Jones .
