How far would a generic NCAA D1 team (NKU, Lipscomb etc.) go with LBJ in prime on the team.

Lol zero hatred in my post it's called honesty. If I was a Lebron hater, I don't think 2 of the pair of shoes I hoop in would be Lebron's. But good try. Yeayea ima Lebron hater that buys his shoes. Makes no sense. But at the same time I understand why you'd be that way if you're a biased Lebron and cavs fan. When my opinion had zero bias in it. And fouls per 48 because he's a superior player?

When you play that physical of a game. More fouls should be called on him than what are. By a long shot. Especially when compared to players who play a no contact style. Even Reggie miller said sum bout Lebron getting away with shoving brown right in front of ref. Gathers rebound gets 2 FT's because he's a 'superior player' then did shimmy after getting away with a shove to the back. Is that hate, or pointing out the obvious? It's every playoff game with him. And I could care less. Done arguing it because it honestly couldn't be anymore of an unbiased opinion compared to your biased opinion. But I do have one question. If Lebron had 5 fouls in a game 7. Do you think they'd call a 6th on Lebron (he never fouls out) even if he was hacking everyone every play? Your answer here should prove your bias.
He had inside position on Brown and just bumped him out of the way, it's called boxing out. But when you see things the way you do he would probably foul out every game. Just stop man we all see bias. Please stop with the "I own his shoes no way I can be a hater" it's embarrassing.

I own his shoes. Hoop in them. But nice try Lebron fan.

Nope. Not a fan nor a hater.

Negatives - I liked him until he went back to Cleveland because the roster was in better shape and he wasn't gonna have to stay in Miami with Dwayne Grandpa. Jump rosters once ok. Do it multiple times chasing rosters I have no sympathy.

On the the other hand......

He likes Kentucky, we wear some of his shiz, he promotes Cal and our program to an extent and he's been the best in the game for a long time.

I'm half and half.

You sir, don't like him. Balls up.

Hahahahahaha talk about embarrassing yourself. Inside position? Boxing out? How in the freaking hell do you box someone out when you're directly behind them? Your bias is freaking hilarious and you just proved it. Is that what you call being DIRECTLY behind someone that is boxing you out then fully extending your arm to push them out of the way? I never knew you could box someone out when the person you're boxing out is directly in front of you boxing you out. What is that called like a double box out or something? Please inform me.

You can't even admit that one call was horrendous? Inside position? That's what you call being directly behind someone? Literally couldn't have been more directly behind brown than he was. I guarantee if a U.K. Player got away with that I would own it every single time even though I'm biased towards UK because when something is that obvious you just gotta admit it. I swear I would and you can't even own that one horrendous no call? Just stupid. You're obviously a 13 year old that refuses to admit they're wrong when it couldn't be more obvious as far as that no call goes. Thanks for 'proving yourself'. He was literally directly behind brown and straight up shoved him IN THE BACK. HOW DO YOU SHOVE SOMEONE IN THE BACK WHEN YOU HAVE 'INSIDE POSITION' WHILE BEING DIRECTLY BEHIND THE PLAYER?????

So dumb man if that was a good no call in your opinion then you think Lebron never gets any calls ever in the history of the game cuz that one was as OBVIOUS AS IT GETS. And you're telling me the way I see things? You just said someone who was directly behind a player had inside position and boxed them out the way and tried to say 'it's called boxing out' and you wanna talk about how I see things? Just ignorant. Lebron hasn't fouled out in like 4 seasons. But you're right Reggie miller is a hater and full of bias when he calls games and mentions terrible no calls in a game. He must have an agenda. You're right. Reggie miller and the cameras were wrong. Go you.

To morg, care to send me your email and prove to you all the Lebron gear I own? I wouldn't buy his stuff if I was a hater. That's like saying I hate Jordan, then buying J's. Or I hate Kobe, then buying kobe's. Or I hate BBB, then buying ZO2's. The only 2 teams I hate are the warriors and spurs. I actually root for the cavs sometimes. If I was a hater I would never root for the cavs and would always pull against them. Send me your email and you'll get a pic of all my Lebron gear. It's really comical that you all can't admit that I'm not a Lebron hater just because my opinion of him doesn't fit what one guy wants to believe who is a die hard fan of his and you. Ignorance.

Westbrook, Curry, CP3, Harden, Antetokounmpo, Lillard, Conley, and Thomas are a few better PG's from this past season. Those are just the ones I could name off the top of my head.

You're the dumbest person I've met on a board. So you wanna call, Reggie miller, an All Time great an idiot? That's your approach? You really think you know more about basketball than Reggie miller and are willing to go as far as calling Reggie miller an idiot? What a dumbas*. If me buying his stuff doesn't prove I'm not hater just because I think he's protected and donagy himself has said the front office of the NBA manipulates playoff series all the time to extend them and help certain players and even cited examples then just wow. You really do think the front office has no power of what goes on on the court even tho there's a way to make more money if they want to. You're right the NBA front office isn't money hungry they don't care about money. So Reggie miller is a liar? And you think the refs would call a 6th foul on Lebron in a game 7?

What inspired me to ask that question was jalan and jacoby did a cartoon skit. Jacoby asks jalan, imagine this. Playoff game between warriors and cavs. And Lebron gets called for a 5th foul, do you think the refs would call a 6th? And they both were joking around saying Lebron would be taking out everyone left and right and it shows this cartoon of him on the court slicing curry and Klay in half with a sword and Lebron winning and then said in all seriousness no matter what refs aren't gonna call a 6th on Lebron. It was hilarious so I DVRD it think it was yesterday.

Gonna record that cartoon and put it on here. Then I'm gonna see if there's a replay of the game. Record it. Record the foul that wasn't called that will officially prove you to be damn near legally stupid and watch you still argue it saying Lebron had inside position boxing him out when Lebron's entire body. Going for a offensive rebound, was 110% directly behind jaylen brown. He wasn't side to side. He wasn't in front of him. He was directly behind him. I seriously can't believe you called Reggie miller and cameras a liar. How does a camera recording a video a lie!? What does Reggie miller have to gain by lying? Please tell me?

A bit of advice. Instead of making yourself look like a complete bafoon by arguing that horrendous no call that I guarantee would have you screaming if it happened to UK. The bad no calls happen with players all the time every game the ref just missed the call argument would've been much better for you. But you over here are going the Reggie miller is a lying hater idiot and the cameraman edited the video to make it look a certain way approach. I'll be back with video probably tmrw. Prepare for humiliation as far as that noncall goes that you wanna inexcusably argue just for the sake of arguing. All that does is prove that you're the most biased lebron fan there ever was and takes all credibility you might have away as far as this topic goes and proves you can't admit ever even when he does get calls that Lebron gets a favorable whistle so you're credibility as far as Lebron goes is soon to be ruined. I have friends that are Lebron fans I guarantee would've owned that bad no call. But you. You straight up say Reggie miller is a liar idiot and the cameraman edited the video and that in fact Lebron had inside position bc you were at the game but you can't see it after the cameraman edited it approach. Bold strategy, cotton. Let's see how that works for you.

Steph Curry took Davidson to within a single possession of going to the Final Four.

Against the eventual champion in the Elite Eight.

So yeah, LeBron could do as much if not better.

It's funny your comeback is I'm a Lebron hater. When in fact I could care less that he gets extremely favorable treatment. My team sucks and someone has to win so I could really care less my team is years from winning and my team besides UK players is all I care about. I am in no way shape or form a Lebron hater was just explaining why the NBA isn't as fun to me anymore. Does that make me a Lebron hater when I have no hatred or even dislike towards him? I even own a couple pair of Lebrons to hoop in. I don't care looking at the foul stats and posting them. But go check if you wanna see how outrageously skewed it is, the evidence is there.

It's absolutely comedy that people call me a hater when I just explain things the way I see it with literally not a single shred of dislike towards him I'm just not all that big on him and that's why. This is what I see when watching the NBA. It's called the opinion i formed with what my 2 eyes have seen over the years.
Just makes you an idiot who doesn't know what he's talking about.

In his prime? He would score at will on every trip. Have you watched the playoffs this year? He is toying with real live NBA players on a nightly basis.

Put him on a generic college team and they'd go 40-0.

antetokoumpo?! a 6'11 point guard?

harden? always considered him more of a 2 guard.

Disagree on 40-0 on a mid major with a sufficiently tough schedule.

I bet he could get caught off guard one night.

But in March, when he's ready to turn it up, that mid major wins the tournament 19 times out of 20.

You could put LeBron right now on almost any mid-major or higher and they would win the title.

He would score 40+ per game in college. If the players around him were just average for their level, they win it all.

What do you mean his prime? I'm not that big on LBJ. IMO (don't crucify me LBJ fans, just calling it based on how I see it) he gets the most favorable treatment from refs of any player ever in the history of the game at any level (if not for said treatment i a million percent believe he'd only have one title, his teammates get a favorable treatment too because the league wants Lebron' teams to win) his fouls per 48 and foul outs are off the charts compared to the leagues superstars past and present especially for someone who plays as physical as he does, so you can't really use the treatment all superstars get argument because for LBJ its on a whole nother level than just superstar treatment its way more than just the superstar treatment.

Everyone in the 90's, in an era where you'd have to tackle someone to get called for a foul, got called for more fouls per 48 than Lebron in an era where ticky tack calls are at an all time high. Players who's style involves no contact whatsoever average more fouls per 48 than Lebron. He's the most protected player I've ever seen because the league can't really afford to have him get hurt so they don't really allow anyone to play defense on him, if you breathe on him it's a foul. He's allowed at least 8 steps no matter what.

The league kinda built Lebron's legacy IMO by helping him win more titles than deserved. Ray Allen's 3 is a garbage time bucket if they call that game fairly. But then if they called it fairly there'd be less games, which means less ratings and less money. Less ratings for next season bc a lot of people wouldn't be as interested if Lebron the face of the NBA got called for what everyone else gets called for therefor erasing championships from his resume and losing some fans interest. He got called for a travel tonight and I was in absolute shock I couldn't believe it, it was a call I've never seen made on him before. He took like 7 steps and they actually called a travel and Lebron had never looked more confused.

He's allowed to take 8 or 9 steps every time he goes to the rim but everyone else gets 4 at max 5 unless you're a teammate of his. With that said he's playing his best ball right now. So he's still in his prime. But my point is if he played in college. He'd be by far the best. But it'd take him a long while to get used to only being allowed 2-3 steps as apposed to his usual 8 or 9 steps so if games were called correctly he'd get called for a ton of travels, and he probably wouldn't be as protected from the NCAA like he is with the NBA in this hypothetical scenario. So that would take a lot of the effectiveness of his game out of the equation if you don't let him travel and if you let the defense actually play legal defense and if you actually call fouls on Lebron when he shoves people which is never called in the NBA as far as Lebron goes.

(didn't watch much of the game tonight but of the few minutes I did watch, he blantantly shoved jaylen brown out of the way for rebound, went up with the putback and got foul called and 2 FT's then did a shimmy because he's used to getting away with shoving players in the back and then gettin a foul called to go to the line when he shouldn't have even had the ball to begin with, even Reggie miller said something about it). And this type of stuff is why I can hardly watch the NBA, for the most part the officiating is perfect league wide, but it's as if Lebron and teammates play (mostly Lebron, unless it's crunch time then his whole team gets the calls) by a different rule book than everyone else so for me it makes the game no fun for me to watch when you feel like the outcomes a lot of the time are predetermined.

With that said though he would still easily make an F4 on a lot of mid major teams once he got used to playing basketball without traveling or being protected. But at the same time I think he'd struggle a ton only being allowed 2-4 steps. He's very used to taking 8 steps because if they don't call it then you're going to evolve your game around that and base all your moves off being allowed 8-9 steps no matter what.
What an awful take. Jesus christ. MJ started the star rules and LeBron gets the Shaq treatment from the refs because he's so strong. Travel truthers are the most pathetic people in the world as well. LeBron does play legal defense... LeBron would dominate even more in the 90s, need me to go on?

Really what else is there to say but LMAO . Lebron right now is the 3rd or 4th best player all time and the best since Jordan easily. No one in their right mind can argue that he is a top 5 player ever . Just can't within reason.

This.

Lebron is roughly the same size as Bill Russell and Karl Malone - plus he can dribble, shoot, etc. He's #2 right now IMHO. The narratives probably prevent him from ever supplanting Jordan as #1, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who puts him there when his career is over.

Bird went to the championship game with a team that that was a low level division one so yes I would say Lebron could do it too.
Steph Curry took Davidson to within a single possession of going to the Final Four.

Against the eventual champion in the Elite Eight.

So yeah, LeBron could do as much if not better.

Two examples right here. There's a history of the NBA greats who went to small schools dragging them to deep tournament results. Add David Robinson taking Elite Eight before losing to runner up Duke. Elgin Baylor at Seattle went to Final Four. Artis Gilmore and Jacksonville. Elvin Hayes and Houston.

I would argue they have a better shot doing it on a mid major than P6. Shaq couldn't get far with Chris Jackson and LSU. Tim Duncan was one game short, but he also played with good players. Kevin Garnett couldn't at Texas. Part because they played on teams with guys that wanted to get some shots as well. The game is easier when there's one guy and four others who know their role.

Lebron was the best 18yr old player in the history of the game bar none. He would have been as dominant against 18-22 yr olds in college as he is now in the NBA.

No doubt in my mind Ohio St wins the title in 04 if he's on the team.

Lew Alcindor was a pretty good 18 year old.

You're talking about these guys at college level, though. Not in their prime which is the hypothetical set up for us. Which should make the answer that much easier. Prime LeBron would simply be unstoppable vs college players.

The Cavs are 4-19 without Lebron in the lineup since he came back from Miami.

Pretty good team indeed.

You're talking about these guys at college level, though. Not in their prime which is the hypothetical set up for us. Which should make the answer that much easier. Prime LeBron would simply be unstoppable vs college players.

Yep. He would destroy everyone in his way.

Well aware of it. In fact, I attended one of those games he didn't play. They pretty much just jacked up threes all night and took a collective day of vacation. Not at all representative of what they would do if he wasn't actually on the team.

Yes, I think the record is probably worse than the talent reflects as well. It should also be noted that some of the games LBJ missed, Love and/or Irving probably missed too.

Yes. Kyrie Irving missed a significant part of a season and I'm sure Lebron rested some of those games. Still, Lebron got them to the finals without Irving or Love (albeit through a weak East). I don't mean it as a knock on Lebron but I think his supporting cast, as it were, is pretty good. With that said, the 1994 Bulls were a 50+ win team without Michael Jordan IIRC. His supporting cast wasn't trash either. In reality, one man teams don't win NBA titles regardless of who the one man is.
