I know you're too stupid to see the difference so I won't bother explaining
Plenty of the Cuban people make WAY more money now with the small bit of tourism they're getting and I'm sure they're A-Okay with that.

I also lived in Egypt for a few months at one point which was basically an autocratic dictatorship under Mubarak that had a populous in grinding poverty as well, didn't bother me one bit bud. :sunglasses:

I went to Cuba, 16 years ago - when it was a big deal. And there were already Americans everywhere. It's always been a tourist spot for Canadians, etc. and they already had public/private investment back then - just not from the US.

I stayed at the Hotel Neptuna, Hotel Lincoln, and a bungalow at El Ambra. Don't @ me.

JUUUUUUUUUSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTTT a bit outside

there's a regular in this thread that's from the Thomas Walker area
You know who you are, cookie pants

I was up your way this past week ---
Paying homage to everything "mountain" (the good stuff anyway)

Tried to reenact some of the settlers hardships and freeform a bit at the Pinnacle / Park

Seems they don't really WANT any kind of STAND UP ....like that....

so anyway --- I fly on Thur to Tucson and start the new chapter
If Arizona and UK run into each other in any major sport -- you can count on me to try and poison their water or perhaps provide some other type of useful diversion for the Blue and White

I still have Arizona after 1997 --- it is what it is

Gonna be a late night too damnit

- I thought Rogue moved to Tampa to get married? When did that end?

- WAVE3 nailed the Derby forecast all week long and stayed with it

- Chishell Stause was at our table due to her fiancé

I always make a trip up the Pinnacle when I get the chance to go home. Pretty amazing spot.

Clears my head, Alum - clears it and reminds me that I have a job to do....one that ends with my taking over politically within Claiborne Co......

but first......got a date with the desert.....and a slow siege of psychological warfare against every Arizona fan I encounter

PS: Middlesboro is serving beer now..........now if THAT can happen......the Wildcats can go for 8 regular season wins, my beloved!

*Billions season 2 finished strong. I completely understand that the majority of the financial management jargon is not exactly realistic- which seems to be a big issue with some people. It's TV folks. The ego wars are amazing- and I would probably agree that people in those types of positions (billionaire wealth managers and big time attorneys i.e. Max) are all legit maniacs. Also the majority of viewers absolutely hating on Malin Akerman is refreshing. Every scene with her was awful by comparison.

*Students have loaded up and are outta here. My favorite days of the year are move-in and move-out. Kind of like owning a boat I guess. Always feel nostalgic seeing everyone come and go. Some of my best friends are the random people I lived next to in Blanding II.

*New Chris Stapleton is ok. Didnt enjoy it as much as "Traveler" but music always grows on me.

*Watched that video clip of the Valley Sports World Series team. Not sure I really get the angle of asking if success that early was a detriment... maybe it was- but you could take any little league team and there are going to be some awful stories and some successful ones. Thought that was a bit of a reach. You can argue that team was a microcosm for that area of town. The team fell apart not long after just as that area continues to do. Also they lost credibility including Billy Reed on there.

*Favorite Derby pic i've seen is a well-dressed B$ standing a head taller than a horribly dressed Briscoe.

*Does anyone enjoy pears? Seems like a stupid food.

*Still searching for a bottle of Tommy's Batch.

Would have been amazing to have a completely lost and nervous freshman with absolutely no in game experience whatsoever run around really fast against an upperclassmen-led UNC in the elite eight, no doubt.
