Wife just went through this herself. 32 layoffs at her job. They kept her and let go of the other girl who does the same job. So she gets to do the work for two, but she's got job security I guess. My wife's company laid off 500 people yesterday. It's a Japanese company so as much to do with their economy as ours. They were notified of the lay offs on Wednesday afternoon, and then got their decisions yesterday morning. She's got her job still- which we are grateful for, but some good friends wound up on the wrong end. Pretty brutal. Makes me physically sick to even think about. We went through it in 2015- but we dont have children, and I still had my job and insurance, etc... some in much more dire situations.

Agree with most. Minneapolis/St. Paul is actually better than you would think. There are a few cities that I never, ever have any plans to visit, unless forced. I'm sure I'm way off on some of them, but for the most part, I don't really care to visit:
- Cleveland
- Pittsburgh
- Detroit (already been so I guess it doesn't count, but I'd ungo there if I could)
- Anywhere in New Jersey
- Syracuse
- Milwaukee
- Buffalo
- Minneapolis
The Braves are supposed to open their new stadium in like 2 days... people were already bitching about traffic to get out there, and that was before one of the most widely used roadways in the country apparently caught fire and collapsed like something out of a movie.Speaking of cities, that I85 situation in Atlanta seems like a real disaster for that city. What a logistical nightmare that's going to be.
Shocking they didn't take a few swigs from the Koi Sewage Pond.I peeked out the window and 3 deer were passing the damn bird feeder around like a joint.
Whole lot of people going to have to acquaint themselves with MARTA.Speaking of cities, that I85 situation in Atlanta seems like a real disaster for that city. What a logistical nightmare that's going to be.

I haven't been to a city yet that 100% sucks. Can always find some cold crafties, top notch wings, and fine folks if you know where to look.
Now to be fair, I got no time for townships and villages and unincorporated parts of counties and whatnots.
All gravy thoLearn Lake Gyero, dumbass. No koi, no sewage.
Wouldn't want you to be out of the loop.I've kind of been out of the loop the last few days, but has BTI written a blurb for KSR yet about how Kentucky fans should be rooting for North Carolina this weekend yet, or nah?
I mean, I assume it's coming.
Dayton, Ohio.
The WORST Hoots I've ever stepped foot in.
WTF? A white guy?

:flushed: Back in like 2004 I went home with a stripper from a club there called Cua Cua. Had almost forgotten about that. Real life changing experience for a early 20s Rogue.beach Puerto Penasco
I'm down for an occasional beer/wings, sure -- but have no idea why anyone would regularly spend valuable free time in either of them, jmo.
Seems like a waste.
