After my opening Bloody, I drank Bourbon on the Rocks from 10am til expiration (with a few beers & shots mixed in), so yes, that does really work.

-So no interest from any of you non-elites in heading 1:30 north Saturday? I have a room at Embassy Suites w/ 2 beds and a Pull Out just in case my NKY buddies decided it was okay to leave that area for one day.

UCLA, if they get there, will face a better defensive Kentucky team than they have before. I think we're playing our best ball of the season, and I think UCLA's best games are in the past.
Agree with the first part of this, but not necessarily the second.

UCLA slumped a little bit early in conference play, but also lost to really good teams in Arizona and @ Oregon. The only head-scrater was losing to @ USC, who is not terrible. After that, they rode a 10-game win streak before losing to Arizona in the P12-T. During that stretch, they averaged 87.9 ppg.

That said, defense isn't my concern against UCLA. I agree, we're a much, much better defensive team than they saw in December. But if we continue our trend of scoring 4 points in the opening 5-7min of the game, we're going to be too far behind to catch up at that point.

You're a well seasoned almost alcoholic and you were a DISASTER on Saturday morning. So, it works, if you want to go down that road. If not, put back a bunch of demestos and profit.

Let's face it, few would want to put up with Booker talking about all 47 of his kids accomplishments at Upward Bound on the text thread.

Bourbon or better yet, Scotch M-F. SECT is not for sipping a brown water and checking market trends.

It is for lighting your hair on fire with booze and other contraband, singing everything from Your Love to Amarillo by Morning at the top of your lungs and making a solemn vow to god you'll never drink again if he just spares you your life Sunday as you drive home.

Would love to go to Indy, but headed to Pittsburgh Monday for work. Down to catch games here with you degenerates.

Any direct flights to Memphis? Car rides over 5 are #notwhywedothis

Wasn't Joshie in Nashville (or at MEL'SS!!!), yet couldn't even make a pregame beer 1 day?

Solid.

Sorry, we didn't make it down. Trying to earn equity for a trip to Memphis w/ Mel. WE'LL SEE.

Glad you tried out the Southern, tho. I'm a big fan. Gave a nice drunken speech there for a rehearsal dinner a couple years ago.

Strip - A
Oysters - A
Burger - D

...just don't have much for a Steakhouse burger anymore. Way too much meat/bread/other **** going on far too often...give me a flat-top, small/thin patties, and American Cheese. #classic

-smh at earning equity by not stopping into a bar (restaurant) that's a gap wedge from the Arena door. Lolz. Some of you really seem to have your work cut out at home -- good luck these next few weeks everyone, gonna be really touch&go for the GYERO marrieds it sounds like.

Plan here is to watch 'This is Us' for the next few days. [cheers]

I've seen you buy an entire sleeve of Fireball airplane bottles for yourself
You did...6 years ago. I also drank Jaegar back in the early 2000s. People change and get smarter, bub.

HEY BARTENDER THINK YOU MAY BE ABLE TO SWING A COUPLE CHILLED 1800 TEQUILA SHOTS, POR FAVOR? AS LONG AS THE SUGAR CONTENT IS LOW AND YOU HAVE FRESH LIMES THANKS
Tequila is actually the only stimulant I know of in the alcohol world. And I would prefer mine with no fruit but orange slices have become popular.

@GrandePdre Heard that shoutout and now laughing because I was in the same boat. Driving back from a night in Miami through **** traffic in the Keys. That drive always blows because it takes 1.5 hours at least to go 60 miles in most cases.

If some of you would quit whining about everything, you'd realize that Kentucky didn't get *that* bad of a draw. We got the weakest 1-seed (which lost seven games, and we've already beaten them on a neutral court). We start off in the closest location to home for the opening rounds, then progress once again to the closest location for the regional. Our second round matchup will be against one of two mid majors, whose most impressive wins are Vanderbilt and Oklahoma State.

One of these years, maybe we'll get lucky and end up in the bracket with fifteen 16-seeds, and us. Then things will finally be fair.

How many of you would be satisfied with this season if we lost to UNC in the Elite 8 but it meant getting revenge on UCLA and knocking them/Ball TF out?

Hate agreeing with PTI(pti), but Yes.

These same people will then ***** that we won't be 'prepared' for the Final 4 after cruising through a 16, two 15s, and an 11 while everyone else is battle-tested. THIS IS ********

@Franchise

You gonna pop in on us? Now is your time, bud.

-Wait til you have kids, Anth -- going on a vacation every few weeks all year long, and then taking off the entire months of March/April/Derby is dunzo for you pal!

[thumb2] If you make the trip to Indy, grab an Uber to a place called Workingman's Friend. Best burger I've ever had. Only open during the day, but worth checking out. Cash only, fyi.

My favorite thing about the sports gap between the SEC tourney and the best two sports days of the year on Thursday and Friday is listening to you guys judge and deride each other's performance over the weekend and overall fun-having and friendshipping acumen. Never disappoints.

So Dakich picked his kid's Michigan team to the title game. K, thanks, dad. That's fine, but then sports journalists turn around and expect us to take what they do seriously. Nope. You're just paid fans.

The thing is, we're a completely different defensive team than we were even a week ago. I don't think the majority of the nation has noticed it, but we're defending the ball, rebounding... and that's what fueled both of Cal's out-of-nowhere runs in 2011 and 2014. We're still a bit loose with the ball. Need to clean that up. Elite eight, minimum.

To paraphrase a comic book psychopath, "They don't seem to understand... We're not stuck in this region with them. They're stuck in this region with us."

Jealous AF of everyone watching the game anywhere they damn well please!

This happens to be the weekend the wife works Th-M 3-11 which I thought may be ok if we draw early games......F no!

Not only that but someone above thought it funny enough to tease my *** with late enough games the kids are usually asleep, but as of this past weekend my 9 month old is full on f'n teething and absolutely raising hell.

For this good deed I will sacrifice with a smile and a coke, and once we switch to Th-S next week I get rewarded with her normal only working Thursday 3-11 for UCLA(possibly).

All of this would be fine if after all this when my oldest, who will learn to cuss, drops his newly learned vocabulary and I didn't catch even 1 second of the "I could kill you" look as her angel may no longer be a saint and someone should die for that.

Really looking forward to this tournament.

Last night I watched a 15-minute segment on the South Region on CBSSN. It was Jon Rothstein, Pete Gillen, Brendan Haywood and Wally Szczerbiak. The only time they mentioned Kentucky in the entire segment was "Wichita State is going to beat Kentucky."

Like I said last night...ghosts. For having won 29 games, league titles, 11 in a row, undefeated for 6 weeks...ghosts. And it feels great.

We totally lucked out by having our 10 and 12 seed being Top 25 teams in the recent Coaches' Poll and AP (MTSU is 26th, but close enough). Or that the top 3 seeds in the South have an average Coaches' Poll rank of 6.3 (vs. 8 in the West, 7.3 in the Midwest and 6.3 in the East).

But yes, couldn't agree more that it takes a bunch of morons not to realize that the committee threw us a total softball for a bracket.

I really don't know how fortunate I am but I can't imagine having to build up brownie points to do something that I'd enjoy. When I want to do something I ask and try to return the favor when I can. Pretty neat setup. The alternative sounds miserable.

To be honest I think most of the time this is used as a lazy excuse for someone to not do something that they don't feel like doing. In the same way people use their kids to get out of doing ****.

And [laughing] at "This is Us". Thought I was the only one having to sit through that god-awful show. My wife cries no less than 4 times throughout each episode. I will say though, and I think we can all agree: F*ck Miguel.

I don't have to watch it thankfully since the lass is fine watching shows I don't want to watch on her own. #blessed

Honestly if you look at records and seeding with some of the teams we will have to play this is close to the way 98 unfolded.
