Funny... I always liked Todd Day.
Loved Todd Day and Hollywood Robinson.

Had to unfollow Old Row. I'm all for some random college memories and fun thoughts, but **** was getting way too nostalgic & depressing seeing it 85 times per day.

This week's Spring Break theme was the kicker. :weary:
Grow up. If you're missing this week, you're crazy. It's top notch. Except for the idiots leaping off any roof they can find.

-Now that I think about it climbing(falling) off balconies was pretty prevalent in our years at Spring Break. I may have scaled a fence or two but even at my worst I kept feet on solid ground.

-Washington keeping Romar. Lol.

-First multi-day tour firing up in France this week. Paris-Nice, hope you all are watching.

-Digging the football news coming out. Nice to be interested in a team in March.

-PLAY DINOSAUR!! DINOSAUR!! DINOSAUR!!

I've always had favorite non-UK teams as opposed to players and the Flying Illini are #1 on that list with #2 not being very close.

* This week >>> next week. More games, less pressure.

* So who was your least favorite random player? For me, John Caylor from Auburn was up there, after that ******** three to beat #1 UK in Rupp in 1988. Wasn't a big fan of this guy either (RIP):

* 1989 Flying Illini: My favorite non-UK team ever. Loved me some Kendall Gill.

Alex Dillard --> always reminds me of a Tipton Sunday notes column from the late 90s, in which he told of Dillard hitting 7 3s in a pre- or early season game and the Arkansas students started chanting "Shoot from the Nose" (of the hog).

I would bet real money on this one coming to fruition. This is exactly the type of passive-aggressive matchup creation the committee LOVES to do.

"Huh, how about that? Pitino's son coaching against his dad's old school currently coached by his dad's arch rival. We never even thought about it that way. It's just how the bracket worked out..."

I've heard several people from GYERO mention they "liked" Ron Slay. I guess I missed the memo, because I f*cking despised that guy.
It is extremely rare in humanity but occasionally some dude comes along and you hate the **** out of him but on some level you kind of like them. Hard to explain. Slay was that guy though. He may be the only example.

Garcia was the beginning of the L1C4 era. His HIP HOPPING routine around Rupp Arena after beating Tubby's 2004 team was complete BS. And this coming off a victory over Tubby's 2003 team the year before. No tears were sweeter than Francesca's tears after Sparks' 3 FTs to beat them in Freedom Hall.

Pretty sure I've mentioned this at some point over the years, but two of my buddies actually got in a fist fight over who was better, Bogans or Garcia. It still cracks me up to this day thinking about it.

You think many North Carolina and Duke fans get in fist fights over whether Tyler Hansbrough or JJ Redick were better college players? I kind of doubt it.

No player in the past and no player in the future will ever come close to touching my through and complete hatred for LUUUUUUUUUUUKE. Literally made my blood boil.

Few plays in my mind where I absolutely wanted to murder someone than when he used his forearm to move James Young two feet to create space for that 3 in the sweet sixteen.

I will always hate Nick Calathes. Born and raised in Florida, but thinks he's Greek. Gives up on an NBA career to play in Greece against lower competition. What the hell?

Reading the story about Cawood's retirement and this nugget from Reeeeechie made me chortle and be a proud wildcat fan 4 life at the same time:

“He was Kentucky basketball to me,” Farmer said. “I know a lot of young kids have different kinds of heroes — some of them are basketball players, some of them are wrestlers, some of them are country singers — one of mine was Cawood Ledford.”

I just imagine Richie's house having pictures of Jesus, Cawood, and Ricky Morton hanging in the living room

I feel like Richie is more of a Midnight Express guy. Anybody with a mustache like that has to prefer heels.
