- I will give the millennials this- it seems, generally speaking, they take pride in being inclusive to special needs kids. That's a really nice thing. I love all these videos of these kids getting run in high school basketball games.
- I think Marshall and Bennett would both kill at Indiana. They may not be able to get Bennett, but they could definitely get Marshall. We need a little '90s Bengalsesque late season meaningless winning streak from the Hoosiers to give the AD some false hope.
- That "pick 5 teams against the field" thing is a chore for this year's tournament. I don't love anyone but I like a dozen or so teams.
- Egbunu is a huge loss for the Gators. Really like that dude.
- Simmons has dropped off a bunch but his Sports Movie HOF podcasts are terrific.
- Washington is one of those college-ready kids who would be ranked higher if he wasn't an NBA tweener. Jerry Meyer loves him. Tough, great rebounder, 7'3" wingspan and some good offensive skill.

Came away from last night more disappointed in Virginia than impressed by Duke. Duke's wins at Notre Dame and vs. UNC were way more impressive to me.

Cal's always looking for some sort of slight or perceived slight or sign of disrespect. Guy needs a boogeyman even if he has to invent it. Being completely overlooked while Duke gets all the attention is a pretty good scenario to feed that mentality.

Not sure why I remember it so vividly, but wcc calling Billy Clyde one of the great guard coaches in America, and BBdK immediately putting him on blast has always stuck with me.
I don't agree with the concept that it is every athlete and coach ever, but certainly many of the best ones. Jordan is a great example. I'm glad you brought him up. Helps to illustrate my point. Jordan had tremendous success with this mindset, but he was primarily focused on himself, whereas Calipari has to sell this to 18 and 19 year old kids.
Playing the "disrespect" card at Kentucky is difficult to do with a straight face, but Duke is the perfect foil for this. My point was that Duke being lauded for their run while Kentucky is dismissed on a similar run would be an excellent setup for Cal to latch onto to get through to his young, immature team. Cal could realistically sell them on the fact that they are being disrespected and no one thinks they can win it. His two best coaching jobs in the tournament IMO were 2011 and 2014 when he could look at the bracket and say 'see they're f'n us on purpose'.
I've put Chad on blast so many times over the years for weak hoops takes that they all run together for me at this point.
