I love Cal and would not want anyone else. It's time he took a step back and re-evaluated where the top priorities should be for the benefit of the program and the players. He's been great here. But he needs to work on getting back to coaching and not a screaming caricature of a coach on the sidelines. Make some changes, take some chances. Don't just rely on talent. As much as I appreciate what he's done here I don't worship at the altar of the mighty Cal. He's not above criticism. He's done a fairly mediocre job for about 2 yrs now.

I am not expecting a title every year, I expect 4 or 5 first round draft picks and maybe one or two events every year at Rupp where all our NBA players are showcased. This year it looks like we will only have 3 first rounders and that is disappointing because I want Kentucky to be the team that feeds players to the bottom feeder NBA teams.
Only thing that matters is winning the title... Quit with all this were in the running 90% of time BS... I love our team ... But wake up

Why can't you people get some perspective?
Do the yankees and warriors win every game? Why must we have an incredible season EVERY year for you to be satisfied? Eventually we have a mediocre season, lose a few games. So what, we're the Cats, its not the end of the world if Cal has a not so great year. Quit whining.
You should be thankful Cal put us in that position. If Cal didn't take the job, we'd be stuck with Miller that just lost by 120 to Oregon yesterday and hasn't done a thing.
And most of that time we weren't doing as well as we are now. And if you are calling him Cow you are a jerk are a Otis fan. Probably both.

[laughing] I considered rambling off a bunch of reasons (in fact I erased them) but then I thought if you can't figure it out then it's intentional and nothing could convince you otherwise . Having a LEGIT chance to win the title.....that's all I ever ask for.....this team has serious liabilities but it could win 6 in row..

Gotta say, I know nobody wants my opinion, but some of you are just being overly negative. You guys have an incredibly talented team, a great coach... You've gotta trust that a bump in the road can be overcome.
At this point in the season UK has been a title contender 3 times. John wall. Anthony Davis. KAT.
That's it. You cannot say an 8 seed that made a late run were title contenders.
Well will you stand by the people who say he needs a once in a life time talent in Davis to win the title? Or Coach K can do One N Done better? How about 3rd in the SEC when you start 5, 5 star talents?

All the Cal people are so drunk on the Blue Cal Cool Aid that they can't see straight.
Cal's teams aren't built to win Championships. They are built to push guys to the NBA after one, maybe two, years. Winning titles is secondary. Read the quotes from the man..and listen to what he says. Don't get me wrong....winning 28 or so games a year is fun and seeing all the flash that these OAD kids bring in is pretty cool too, for a minute. But when you walk into Rupp would you rather see Championship banners or have memories of all the one year first round draft picks that got close but didn't make it happen?
Until the NBA changes the way they do things....OR...until every Power 5 conference team in the nation subscribes to the OAD philosophy it is going to be this way.
Bash me all you want...but there are a lot of people starting to feel this way.
Just sad , we all want the same thing but fact is , it just isnt happening ( at this point in time) I can still see a FF if this team rediscover's what it was in DEC and turns it around , sad because the team was so great in Nov/Dec .
On a side note I do get a kick out of the twisting and manipulating some of Cal's direct comments , the man said getting those draft picks was the " greatest day in the history of UK hoops" but some want to say we just dont understand him right . Truth is we severley struggled against an inferior ND in Cleveland to even reach the FF with KAT ( and many others) ND outplayed us all the place that day , then lost to a inferior Wisc team , we needed a bomb 3 from Harrison to get us to the FF out of Indianapolis at the buzzer against Mich AFTER a crazy win VS UL . ( I was at those games) so we have had our share of breaks to get a couple FF's . Bash away if you desire , I understand the cup 1/2 full 1/2 empty argument.

I don't think we all want the same thing. I think there are some on here who like for U.K. to lose or some little thing to happen that they can blow out of proportion because they just don't like Cal and really want him to leave but won't just come out and say it because it sounds so rediculous. You never see them after a win but after every loss they are the first to post.
