Is this a joke?Anyone else think the team shares the ball better with Briscoe out?

perhaps so.....
but also consider (and I'm sure you have, you're a level headed person) The other team doesn't score as much when he's out there![]()
Of course. I'm only talking about the offense. I don't think there's any question we are a better overall team with him out there.
It's sorta a give and take and finding the best balance. Like most people feel Hawkins is one of our best defenders. But on offense, he's not good. Willis is good offensively but not great defensively. In the long run I guess it's all about finding that right balance between the two.
Dumb post. Briscoe is 2nd on the team in steals per game, 3rd on the team in assists per game, and 2nd on the team in points per game. He is a better distributor than Fox, although Calipari obviously has no problem With either of them penetrating and finishing at the rim. Briscoe is also 1 of the top rebounding guards in the country. Find another player to pick on.Anyone else think the team shares the ball better with Briscoe out?
Do you watch these games? Briscoe is shooting the best percentage from the floor among the starting guards. Better than Fox or Monk. Briscoe is the 2nd leading scorer on our team.I have to admit I've thought the same thing while watching these last couple games. It certainly doesn't help spacing when he's out there since his man is often just going to sag off 5-6 feet and play as a help defender/floater.
Obviously he's great at getting to the basket and he contributes in other ways (defensively, rebounding, good on the break), but I think we're a more efficient offensive team when he's not on the floor.
yesAnyone else think I'm a douchebag ul fan butthurt about sports and trying to instigate an argument on this UK board?

According to some other guy on here,, 1/7 would be about 0.71% or something..In answer to your question, OP, Briscoe's season averages this year are as follows:
mpg - 28.8
ppg - 18
fg % - 52%
ft % - 77%
3pt % - 14%
Reb: 3.3
Asst: 2.5
T/O: 1.9
On the 3pt percentage: he's only attempted 7 shots, making one. but otherwise, nothing here states he hurts the offense, IMO. His FTs have improved immensely, and he's making over half of everything inside the arc.
Since he normally plays off guard, with pg work coming in spots - the 2.5 assists are perfectly fine.
Where did I say anything about Hawkins? Read next time.
I said I like the offense more without Briscoe however he more than makes up for it in other areas. Just my opinion.
You apparently are thinking more clearly than the OP.agreed
I think Briscoe doesn't hurt on offense - he's kinda neutral (couple of other guys could shoot the same), but it's his defense that gives his offense a net value.
Or something like that - my head is stuffy today, can't think too straight, LOL
I only thought he was our leading scorer and is considered to be the best driving/inside guard in the country.
Briscoe is my guy. Love the way he plays.
That being said, he does hurt the offense when he takes long jump shots early in the possession. But so does Fox. And so does Monk really, but he makes some of his bad shots so its not as big of an issue.
This team has looked really good so far against admittedly weak competition. One of the possible weaknesses I see is efficiency in the half court offense. And a lot of that is due to the guards shot selection. I know that Cal wants Briscoe and Fox to shoot open jumpers so that they will have confidence in their shots and the opposition will have to guard it. But the reality is that Briscoe and Fox shooting from more than 10 feet out is a very inefficient shot. I don't want to see those shots with more than 10 seconds on the shot clock.
Briscoe is not a great passer either. But his weaknesses are more than offset by his skill in breaking down a defense and his ability to finish in the paint. He is truly excellent at those two things.
You do realize that Hawkins replaced Briscoe in both games that he missed. So if you like the offense without Briscoe you must like Hawkins better, see my point?
and what is Willis' 3 point percentage? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:In answer to your question, OP, Briscoe's season averages this year are as follows:
