Experienced my first game in NYC this week. I had never watched the Cats outside of Rupp other than the 2011 Final Four (I was a student then, damn). First time to New York, as well. I've been to Chicago several times, and even though I know that New York is larger, it is so overwhelming compared to Chicago. For my take, Chicago > NYC.
Ended up with some nice lower levels at MSG. A casual St. Johns/Hofstra fan from Long Island was next to me. He made some small talk about Kentucky basketball and how he likes to follow them, yayaya. I tried not to fully engage in conversation, but once I did, it was over. Talked and talked and talked. When I would clap, he would look at me and clap along. When I would b!tch, he would do the same. Felt like a toddler that was playing copy-cat.
I got on high after buying those tickets that I also bought the Vegas tickets too. First time to Vegas as well. The girlfriend tagged along to NYC, but college roomie is headed to Vegas with me.
Where's Chad?
