It was nice to see the Cats win the LOS both ways.
I still can't believe that our offensive line appears to be legitimately pretty good and our defensive line is currently respectable.

Where the hell did that come from?

This is the biggest revelation to me. Out of no where are D line is penetrating, taking on blockers for dudes like Jones, Allen, & Eli Brown to be a factor, flying around the ball. Unexpected and surreal. Love is still below average but I'll get over it.

Andre Ware made good point about Johnson's release point. He's prolly missed that TE quick post pattern pass 5 times and it's been wide open every time. He's got to make those routine throws if we're to make any more noise next month.

Baby is due Nov 28 so any thoughts about me going to the SEC CG is unlikely. Hell, making it next week is going to be difficult. Really want to be in CWS next Saturday night.

Did JoJo get any carries yesterday? I must have missed it but was there any explanation for it? If he's healthy enough I would think having him grab a few carries to spell Boom and Benny would be a good idea.

Leaves.

If we win out and beat Bama in Atlanta I think we can get in the playoff and be the first 3 loss team ever to win the National Championship in the modern era.

-Andre Ware is outstanding on color. You pretty much learn something on every play and he manages to not come across as trying too hard or overbearing with his knowledge, which is a pretty rare skill.

Yeah, I'd probably have to flip and pick SEC east after thinking about it. Card fans have been especially insufferable this year and the prospect of ruining their "historic" season is highly enticing. But I have to be practical, I suppose.

One of the announcers (think it was Ware) noted that UK has severely cut down on Elam's snaps over the year to keep him fresh and to keep offenses from being able to keep him out there for extended times by going no-huddle, etc.

Before the game, a football forum poster predicted this: "Today, I expect Kentucky to primarily play in the 'Amoeba' package, a 2-4-5 alignment with Ware and Allen over the tackles; Middleton and Miggins over the guards; Jones and Love at ILB, and a secondary of Baity, Westry, Edwards, McClain, and McWilson. This alignment gives UK maximum flexibility, with the ability to play zone, man to man, blitz, and even walk into an eight man front to stop the run. It also keeps DT's off the field, a good thing since they're most vulnerable to a quick-paced attack."

The same guy later said UK's defense appeared to use the nickel scheme for most of the game, but that seemed like the base personnel they used. Middleton, especially, was in on a number of plays and I did not see much Elam.

I am no :football:, but I have seem some terrible UK defensive lines over the years and we've been pretty good for the last few weeks. Or at least not noticeably putrid.

Good to see Dalton is equally terrible on that side of the pond as well.

SEC east and to even debate it is restupid. Besides now that our boys have seen Bama first hand they will adjust and take it to them. #Atlantaorbust

Just a reminder to PTI, yours truly was driving the bowl bound bus preseason...of course that bus was named the Drew Barker Express, but nevertheless...

Locked in the in-laws to be sitters so the lass and I can hit up the UGA game. [banana]

Not sure who thought it was a good idea to play Elam friggin 30+ snaps anyway. That dude isn't built for that, certainly set him up to fail. But that's all behind us now. Miggins seems to have really improved btw.

Cayts by 42 tonight, Monk drops 27. Bam kills a guy with a thunderous stuff shot.

GD neighbor turned me in for using my charcoal grill, evidently not allowed in our townhouse community.

Effffffffffffffffffffffffffff that.

Welp, time to buy a new gas grill. Touching hell.

They will NOT be invited to family dinner any time soon.
