On a Friday. :joy:LOL, Matt Jones was right, they waited till he went on vacation to make the announcement.
[laughing] It's funny, but also kinda sad that it wouldn't surprise me if you're rightPitino and Juritch probably hand-picked his replacement. lol.
I don't know I think this could be a domino effect with Pitino being the last domino.Pitino's not going anywhere unless the NCAA mandates it. UL and UNCheat are the same. Never admit responsibility, lie, misdirect, pass the buck, reputation and tradition be damned.
I wouldn't be surprised if we hear later there was a buy out for him to step down.It sounds like Ramsey was in on this no? Stepping down instead of being fired gives up a payday right? I think Ramsey was happy to step down if it meant the board that tried to get him fired gets fired themselves.
This has been a foregone conclusion since Ramsey impulsively leaped into the fray to publicly speak up for Tom Jurich and the athletics department before any facts had been investigated.
Oh my.
If there is one person who could make this bad situation worse, it's Matt Bevin.
[roll].... Jurich will be next to move on. The Bevin President and board will not be so "Win at all costs" in athletics. Will be focused on academics.
[roll]
The almighty dollar will win out in the end here. It's a given. UofL Athletics generates a ton of money for them and those insecure pricks will never dare upset that and Bevin doesn't have the balls to either. The fact that he named a UofL lapdog to head the Arena Authority all but guarantees it.
I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Ramsey was given a guarantee that no further investigation into his shady dealings with the UofL Foundation will be pursued.
All of the athletic embarrassments going on for so long and the prez is the first to go. Seems Jurich and Pitino > than academics, integrity and morality.
