Gotta think Lee goes to a St. Mary, Pepperdine, LMU size school. I wouldn't think Cal or Stanford would want him for 1 year only....unless he joins the volleyball team and plays for two years.

We're going to be long and nasty. Considering Fox's penchant for steals and what-should-be an excellent rebounding team, our strength should be going from D-to-O.. Halfcourt will be a work in progress. If we get good shooting from Fox and Monk and the continued improvement from Willis, we'll be good to go.

How weird is it that Willis is possibly our most important (note, not best, but possibly most important) player in the sense that if he plays to his potential then we can be great?

We will go as far as Fox and Bam take us, but Willis completes the roster if he does what he is capable of.

Pretty sure you have to complete at least half of your credit hours after a transfer to get an undergraduate degree from a school like Harvard. At least that's how it worked back in my day.

So, yeah, Marcus handled it about as poorly as possible.

Looking ahead, there's really no reason to add anyone to the roster for next season. HAVING SAID THAT(/rax), I think it would be an ideal time to see if there's a non-grad transfer out there who could be a legitimate contributor in two years. Gonna be losing something like 7-9 players, so you might as well see who could come in and practice for a year, get acclimated, and then contribute in two years. Would be good to add someone who's already been through the grind of high-major ball. The kid Bernie knows would've been ideal.

There are four names on the current list of uncommitted transfers that are intriguing: Thornton(Trae Young is no sure thing, and you're gonna need two ball-handlers anyway), Paris Bass(nice-looking wing player from UD, was Horizon League FR of the Year a few years back), Brekkott Chapman from Utah(former Top 100 player), and Torian Graham from Arizona State(has transferred all over the place, but definitely has talent). Any of those four would be good pickups, especially if they can spend a year under Cal getting ready.

Also, there are something like 4-6 major D1 prospects in the state of KY in the 2017 class. The Sloan kid from Taylor County(but now Ballard, I think) would be a good "second" PG in the class. The Hollingsworth kid from Dunbar has potential as a 2G, and there are two wings from western KY who are legitimate high-major prospects. Would love to see Cal take two of these kids to go along with the 6-7 studs he's casting his net for.

Agree with this post...but I think Trae Young is a lock. Plus, there will be transfer options at semester break as well.

dont think Humphries or even Willis will be major contributors next season. hope I'm wrong, but Cal goes with the most athletic best defender every chance he can over offensive skill. the fact that he never even bothered trying to re-integrate Willis into the rotation at the end of this past season seals my opinion.

he went all-in on Skal maybe playing on the court in actual games the way moron NBA GMs see him in empty gyms rather that have Willis do pick & pop on the wings that worked so well in February.

still, I like my team for next season. lurk in the Duke shadow of hype & expectation.

Troy Williams leaves. Ol' Crean just can't catch a break. He and OG would've formed a helluva forward duo to pair with Bryant and the guards.

I really do feel Willis' ankle was a mess at the end of the year and really limited him from playing and being on the floor more. I know that seems like a cop out but he was complete and utter hot garbage in the IU game. Just didn't seem to have it going after the ankle injury, which was a shame.

The Eagle OTR is coming to the Highlands in Louisville. Good fried chicken gastropub. Always packed here.

There is one in Indianapolis on the corner of Mass Ave. Probably the best spot downtown for a bar; the patio sits at a perfect angle giving an awesome view. The fried chicken with spicy honey and those horseradish mashed potatoes are :fire::fire:. The same people also own Bakersfield, so they know what they're doing.

Spare me the ****** chili, but keep the others coming. Indy, like any other city, has some great spots of its own, but it's funny seeing Bakersfield, The Eagle, and Nada all open up recently.

If we could just get Senate up here....

The Cincinnati Food Scene is so vast and powerful that it's directly influencing and consuming neighboring markets. I care about food only as body fuel and something to keep line my stomach when I drink, but the power of the Queen City continues to amaze me.
I know what you mean. We're getting a Dairy Queen and a Chick Fil A right by my house in the next month or so. What a time to be alive!

When I lived in Cold Spring, there were like 4 Big Boy's within a mile radius, and they were always busy. #NKYfoodiescene
