He kept mentioning wanting one and now with Bolden and Lee not options I wonder what he does.

I think the 6 bigs we already have on the roster should suffice. No need to take a flier on some uncommitted tall guy at this stage.

That's what I've been saying for a long time. Poor Cal with that thin frontcourt he has.[winking]

Agree. I have thought all along that adding another big or even Lee coming back might actually HURT us in that we have some very motivated big guys and I want them to stay motivated with the chance to contribute. I'm STOKED to have Bam, SKJ, Gabriel, Humphries and Wenyard. We'll get all we need out of that bunch, plus Willis.

we are loaded inside . If anything we could use a 3 pt shooting wing but really we are loaded all around with Briscoe back.

I think we have a very good frontcourt as is. But still. I'd get Jarrett Allen here by ANY means necessary..... People say he's cut us from his list......[pfftt].......Cal can do some pretty amazing things am I right?

There is no point in leaving the open scholarships unfilled. We might not need another big but a wing player or 3-point shooter wouldn't be bad to add. Or take someone like lil Antetokounmpo and let him develop for a couple years.

Unless you can get an elite difference maker to sign or re-classify, or add a nice piece (listen to NBA analysts--every championship team needs a sniper--Doron Lamb and Wiltjer in '12) then hold off and so many ways UK can use this going into next year recruiting. I'd guess you won't see UK sign a class of 9-10 HS kids--so the departures allow transfer option (traditional way) to address some needs that maybe the staff doesn't like in the '17 class.

BBN seems to be into "hints" that Cal throws out--well he did say "If a kid wants to walk onto campus in September I'm fine with that". No rush to address what's best for program. You're in great hands but I like the chemistry of the '17 team with Lee gone--that leaves rotation of:

Fox, Monk, Briscoe, Gabriel, Bam, Willis, SKJ and Hawkins. Humphries/Mulder/Wynyard can compete for minutes but the undervaluing of the skill (very thing many fans didn't care for about Lee) of Killeya Jones is going to look silly this time next year. Gabriel is going to be a fan favorite and great player and you already know what you have in the other guys and just a matter of Fox getting settled in--and defensively that is best backcourt in nation--and this will be a great defensive team overall and superior rebounding team (Bam and Gabriel are tremendous rebounders, as are the guards).

Only one ball and too many agendas can ruin a team-now you have guys you are going to war with (unless UK has something up their sleeve) and can enter June/July with eye on any additions via transfer or re-classification. Options are a great thing to have and it allows following year's team to not just be all Fr.

We've got six solid bigs already, we don't need another. There's no reason to waste a scholly spot we may need later on someone who's not UK caliber just to fill out the roster. Let's give Floreal his ride back and go with what we got.

I doubt one would come, knowing Lee was 6 foot 9 and experienced and left, just saying.

Grad transfer or nobody. Don't tie up future schollies on leftovers

But I do agree..... You've got a shot at getting a free 1 year body to help even if in practice
