Interesting: http://www.kentucky.com/news/nation-world/national/article79519552.html#fmp

For the first time in modern history, living with parents has overtaken other living arrangements for 18-34-year-olds, according to a Pew Research Center report released Tuesday.

In 2014, 32.1 percent of young adults lived in their parents’ homes, edging out all other living arrangements, including marriage or cohabitation, living alone, or living as single parents or with roommates
.

I don't know what it is about the northeast, but it is extremely common for grown *** men to live at home with their parents. And this has been true for decades. My research associate is 25 - lives at home. He makes well over 6 figures, but commutes in from his parent's place in Queens every day. He's saving money I guess, but come on. Could easily afford an apt, especially with a roommate or two. Had coworkers 15 years ago, with the same deal.

It's freaking weird.

Job market in my field has been pretty tough the last 5-8 years. So many old guys lost bad on their retirement holdings in 2008, they have been sticking around trying to make it up...plus decreased reimbursement, more work to make less...been pretty tight. Finally starting to open back up again.

-It will be tremendously disappointing if we had surprise PED testing and at least 1 guy didn't get popped. Might actually be my final straw.

-Poor radiologist, now that they've made it through life only working 1/2 years at a time and blowing money the only way doctors know how to they have to tack on a few extry years at the end.

-Brooksy must be having a blast in Vegas. Damn I can't wait.

Porsche and boat futures took a real hit in the crash.

If a college degree doesn't automatically guarantee you a 6 figure job and a hot, ethically challenged secretary, well then by god, the job market SUCKS.

You guys are right. The job market for college graduates (which was clearly implied by the context of my post) is excellent right now. As exhibited by the hundred of thousands of recent college graduates working at Hardees, Starbucks, Chilis, etc...

If you're arguing their degrees are worthless, then I agree. And that's because the market is oversaturated with english, film studies, philosophy, etc... majors. We don't need more of those, so yes, the job market sucks if your experience is a degree in nonsense. If you went to a tech school, then yes, there are obviously opportunities for you. I never attempted to argue otherwise.

We should start a GYERO college.

It would be a badass 2-6 year school for plumbers, electricians, welders, HVAC, and other trades that won't include Mexicans. The school of Lawn Care and Roofing will not be affiliated with the University nor will it be considered an accredited institution. That is unless we can secure gov't funding and rake in the cash.

Perhaps if the younger generation got to experience college while learning a trade there wouldn't be a need to hire illegals due to a lack of supply of skilled tradesmen and women.

Home Depot markets to men, and is more hardware-oriented. It's based in ATL, and to me, means SEC.

Lowe's markets more to women, and seems softer and more aesthetic in its appeal. And it's based in NC. So basically it's a candy-***, feminine ACC-oriented chain.

Having spent time with Lowe's execs in the past....^this in a nutshell.

If you notice, Lowe's is much cleaner and brighter on average.

Remember when Tubby lost Tyrone Nash to prep school? That was quite possibly the most preposterous thing that's ever happened in recruiting.

Pumped that Cal is underachieving these days.

Spending more and more time in Cincy with my new role. Our downtown office is on W Central Pkwy and the view out my new guy's window is awesome. Not awesome as in scenic but I watched one guy get arrested and another dangle perilously atop a roof as he replaced shingles, tied off to a chimney with what appeared to have been rags tied together.

Hit up Kreugers for lunch. That seating on the rooftop was fantastic. I know its an "eclectic" area but this suburban boy was quite happy. Cuban was also great.

I can't hate Chewbacca mom. No one can. I think I could win the Powerball jackpot and not be that damned happy.

Late to the party but love Samuel L Jackson perpetuating the story that Prince really did play ball against Charlie Murphy and crew. Even mentions serving them pancakes afterward.

I bought a Yukon XL prior to kid 2 with an anticipation of kid 3 coming soon. That ain't happening so now I'm thinking about a truck. Crew cab for the kiddos, 4 wheel drive for the bass boat, something reliable. Been eyeing a Tundra CrewMax and a Silverado (grew up under a GM dad).

Mags retweets his newest writer, pinned tweet: 69 Ew or Nice.
[laughing]

Took the dog out for a walk and come back to around 50 or so notifications and 30 new followers [laughing]. Wasn't really expecting Matt to RT that, kind of overwhelmed me tbh. First small taste of being in the public eye is a strange feeling.

For right now I have no intentions of unpinning that twitter poll.

Doubtful. NBA teams from CA usually play exhibition games in Vegas, so guessing they'll be first up.

Very much looking forward to that trip, though.

Just got my schedule inked for the coming year. I mean, it's kind of tough trying to plan a year in advance for vacation requests...somehow I manage.

This guy is all in on the Vegas/UNC trip.

<----- in at the Delano, really looking forward to rallying a solid late 20 early 30s crew that will most likely change roster 95% between now and December.

I hear ya. Knew a few like that also. Asked a guy about it once and he said he'd have a condo on the beach in Florida before he was 35. That was 15 years ago. Looked him up on FB recently and he is living in Florida on the beach. Not sure if he beat his 35 timeline though.

-Home Depot >>>> Lowes if you're actually doing projects like renovating a house.

-I LOATHE chewbacca mom. It's not her as much as people that sit around and watch these mindless videos. There's always some clown I work with trying to show me a video about monkeys eating bananas in some wacky manner or something that just makes me feel less intelligent after I watch it. Like if I laugh at it I've become part of the problem. Chewbacca mom is exactly that. It's like 3+ minutes of that. Why?*

-Starting to put offers in on houses in Tampa, ish is getting real.

-TSA pre-check, how often do you need to fly for it to be worth it?

-Chicago next weekend, can't wait. Need to see these Cubbies in action and GTFOff this island for a few days.

*yes I feel better

Alright that's it, if your remodeling 84 Lumber should be your go to. A place that can get whatever and line you up with great trust worthy contractors.

Cut the Home Depot/Lowe's nonsense! If your savvy there is damn near no reason to use either of them.....unless they are running a sale and giving their **** away.
