SNL has been bad more than it has been good. The "people have been saying it isn't as good as it use to be for decades" stuff is just deflection.

Gonna go ahead and call my shot, the new all girl Ghostbusters movie is going to be terrible.

It's truly an abomination what Hollywood is doing remaking/rebooting all these 80's classics.

Find Tina Fey obnoxiously annoying.

Last week on Amazon tv I fired up some Eddie Murphy Raw on YouTube. Still hysterical to this day. So talented.

It's amazing to me how unapologetic about being non PC he was. There's no way anyone today could get away with some of the stuff he was doing.

Comedians get a pass for the most part, even today, so long as it's part of their routine it seems. I mean, all the funniest **** is racial and offensive.

- SNL has never been funny. Nothing's funny. Everything sucks.

- "Come Monday" has always been my favorite Buffet song.

- Experienced a first this weekend- the bar at the wedding shutting down for an hour while dinner was served. WTF? Persevered and still managed to get stupid drunk.

- Ohio is just horrible. Flat and ugly. Corn fields and nondescript small towns.

- How bout dem tittays on the actress playing Sansa in the play? :raised_hands::fire::pray:

- "Why I Am" was probably the highlight of DMB Friday night. Good show.

Louis CK gets away with a ton (and should). The reaction of the audience during his molestation bit on SNL was something to behold.

I actually thought that bit was pretty damn funny. I mean, he was acting upset that the pedophile wasn't interested in molesting him...

Sturgill mania is slightly out of control, I feel like. Dude is great, but he marcus welby Prince around here. Almost feel like half the people are worshipping b/c it's the cool thing to do (not talking about GYERO peeps), especially on SturgillBook.

It does beg the question, how long before he isn't cool anymore? Sure is getting popular!

As long as Sturgill represents the alternative to GFL, Aldean, and other mainstream country pop he'll be cool.

And it was a pretty great show. He gets better every time I see him. Great meeting and hanging out with @BernieSadori. Great dude.

The SuperAmerica on Baxter Avenue is its own third world country.

Louis CK says the n word (hard R) all the time in his stand up, although typically not while talking about black people. I think comedians get a pass.

SNL is in bad shape right now, but if you didn't laugh during this...

I don't know what to tell you.

Comedy should be allowed to be edgy, but what matters is what you're making fun of. You can tell a funny rape joke. You can't tell a funny joke at the expense of rape victims. I've heard both. The point of the joke matters. You can tell a funny joke about developmental disabilities. If you tell a joke at the expense of the developmentally disabled, you're a piece of ****. You can even tell a joke at the expense of a certain aspect of (gay/black/white/etc.) people. If your statement is "Some black people do _____." That might be funny. If you're saying that the fact of being homosexual by itself is gross, wrong, or fearful (which Eddie was at least in part at the beginning of Raw,) that's not really okay, and it really shouldn't be funny.

And I don't really believe in censorship. Tell whatever joke you think you need to tell. The joke police shouldn't be the media or outsiders. The joke police is the crowd. If someone's purely feeding off bigotry or phobia, and the joke makes no other statement, the crowd should be the ones to let the comic know, the same way they let someone know about any other joke that's not funny. The problem is we're not where we need to be as people yet, and a comedian can still have a lot of success, especially on smaller stages with phobic ********. That just hopefully takes time though. I'm personally glad that Eddie's opening act from Raw wouldn't fly any more. It means we're getting a little better.

Cal has been talking about Briscoe as he was coming back all Spring, he's coming back. Lee and his new buddy Goodman though, Cal can't be happy about that, but at this point Marcus almost has to come back.

^ He is, just sounds like the kid is sick of that role. Maybe he should have gotten better. He's a great locker room guy, an experienced defender, and would greatly help our team in many ways, I'd love to have him back as a Senior.

No way in hell he has a 'guarantee' from a team to sign him to a FA deal or pick him up late 2nd. If he goes, his basketball career in the US is over.

He was, by most accounts, THE WORST PLAYER that participated in the combine/workouts/etc.

If Brisoce decides to leave, he should be considered one of the dumber people ever to ever play at UK. I don't think he's dumb, so I think he comes back.

Only NBA guarantee Briscoe will get is "I guarantee you better fix your broke *** J if you ever want to play here"

Not buying the "He's been getting really positive feedback from teams" one bit. Who is the ONLY person who has said that? Umm, his dad. Don't blame him one bit for trying to keep his son's confidence/buzz/perception up, but that's all that is.

He's coming back. It will be "He had a chance to go this year, had some great workouts and a few teams really liked him, but ultimately decided another year would be even more beneficial."

If that jump shot can even get to where it keeps defenses honest, and he can improve to about 70% from the stripe, he's a top twenty pick. He has everything else. I've never seen a more clear cut case of a guy who can improve his stock so dramatically in one simple way.

There is no way in hell a GM is going to give a "guarantee" to a borderline 2nd-round pick. Honestly, the "advice" some of these kids/parents hang their hats on is mind boggling to me.

The fact Lee is still even considering making the jump at this point should tell you exactly where his head is at the moment.

I'm operating on the correct assumption that there is 0 chance of that happening. And if I'm wrong, my "analysis" shifts from him Bricoe being stupid, to the GM being the dumbest GM in the league.
Exactly. That's why I said he'd be insane to pass it up.

But yeah, he's coming back.

From reading all of the articles and stories from the last couple of years talking about how involved Lee is with the non-basketball areas of Kentucky, I'm surprised he is torn at all after his awful combine performance. Given how much he seemingly loves the college experience, you would think it wouldn't seem like the worst thing in the world to come back for your senior season, but he must be set on it.

Having Briscoe, Willis, Hawkins, and Lee (if he comes to his senses) back with this freshman class would be such a luxury. Great mix of vets and young talent. We should be back to a vintage Calipari defensive team.

My only guess on Lee is that he's hearing "next years draft won't be any better for you" which is probably true but I just don't see him playing in the NBA ever. Even with his limited offense, he isn't exactly a lock down defender and he can't keep himself on the court. He's not even a poor mans Nerlens.

^ he's had one of the longer careers of this era I'm pretty sure, at least for a dude of that size. Longest tenured vet in the league along with Jason Terry & Paul Pierce, I believe.

Pretty amazing indeed.
