Hey, I'm glad to hear he was doing it for legit reasons. Granted, I don't work in clinic settings, so my experience is limited. Working in healthcare has turned me into a cynic.

UK has the 11th highest paid football coach in the league... and still comes in #1 on this list. Guess that's what happens when your basketball coach makes 2½ times as much as any other basketball coach in the SEC. (And Billy Kennedy needs a new agent.)

SEC schools ranked by combined football and basketball coach salaries

1. Kentucky - Stoops $3.5M; Calipari $7M = $10.5 million

2. Alabama - Saban $7.09M; Johnson $2.8M = $9.89 million

3. Arkansas - Bielema $4.06M; Anderson $2.2M = $6.26 million

t4. Auburn - Malzahn $4.35M; Pearl $2.275M = $6.625 million

t4.Ole Miss - Freeze $4.7M; Kennedy $1.925M = $6.625 million

6. Tennessee - Jones $4.13M; Barnes $2.25M = $6.38 million

7. Florida - McElwain $4.25M; White $2M = $6.25 million

8. Mississippi State - Mullen $4M; Howland $2.05M = $6.05 million

9. Texas A&M - Sumlin $5M; Kennedy $1M = $6 million

10. LSU - Miles $4.39M; Jones $1.5M = $5.89 million

11. Georgia - Smart $3.75M; Fox $2M = $5.75 million

12. South Carolina - Muschamp $3M; Martin $2.2M = $5.2 million

13. Missouri - Odom $2.35M; Anderson $1.1M = $3.45 million

My wife has a lot in common with mrs.coolcat. She doesn't do the gifts and all that other pretentious nonsense. She's super frugal and regularly chastises me for wasting money, which I do all the damn time.

I have an iPad for work and it's phenomenal. Can't imagine doing what I do without it. I used to lug a laptop around everywhere but now everything I need is all right there and can be moved around using the cloud (future). HAVING SAID THAT, i never use the damn thing at home, except for the 2-3x a week I run on the treadmill. I'll turn the Reds game on and it distracts me from the nightmare that is cardiovascular activity.

Speaking of the Reds, what's the best way to take kids? My boys, specifically my oldest has become *obsessed* with baseball. If we aren't at a game or practice we are playing in the backyard. (Side note: he's amazing for a 6 year old. Absolutely crushes the ball. All the parents go bananas when he bats [banana])Then when it's dark we come inside and watch the Reds. It's awesome. I've never been baseball guy but he's got me into it and I'd like to take him to Cinci for a game. Was thinking of taking the riverboat ferry from Newport. Is that cool? We do several Legends games a year and they have plenty of kid friendly seats/activities. Hoping the Reds do too.

This will make a lot of you happy, but I've been really bored with Twitter lately. Almost never even check my feed. Idk why exactly. Just seems stale or something. Dennis?

Zac Brown band at Riverbend July 1, chad. See you there.

But tickets on Stubhub (especially this season). Usually you can get them for 30-50% of face, especially if it's an off game vs. the Brewers or Marlins or some random team like that. We park next to the Roebling Bridge, on the Kentucky side. We've done that since I was a kid. We walk across the bridge, hang out at the play park, maybe grab a quick bite to eat/drink at Yard House, or some other local junt. Sometimes we make it to batting practice. Try to get tickets on the 1st Base side, as it has a better chance of being in the shade for a day game. Afternoon games in the summer can be brutally hot.

Watch a few innings in your seats, then go to the Wiffle Ball field. Watch the 12-14 year olds goof off, and the 4-5 year olds barely hit the ball. Occasionally you'll see a mini Griffey 6 or 7 year old who cranks homers. That's fun. But most of the kids suck. After you do that, get a treat, and head back to your seat for the rest of the game.

So right in the middle of the last cloudburst my wife screams at me to look out the back door.

He must have flew in for the Derby and got lost.

*Somewhere between Mayfield and Benton, the tornado got off the ground, which is good because it went over Benton Elementary and Benton Middle schools, full of kids and teachers.

*170 when I was about 19 and eating nothing but breakfast shakes after getting my wisdom teeth out. Currently fluctuating between 147-153.

I'm probably going on the 21st. Trying to drag Harmon up there, but I don't think it's possible to get him away from the other degenerates at the Thoroughbred Club on Preakness day.

The Thoroughbred Club is one of the greatest hangouts of all time. Maybe THE greatest.

Every now and then during games, usually where I'm in attendance, I like to focus on "off the ball" players. For example, watching a dominant offensive lineman play football in person is pretty cool. In the NBA, Steven Adams is that guy. He is awesome to watch, especially for you guys that yearn for the more physical game from a few decades past.

Guy's a damn bruiser and has a great feel for the game.

On May 21 UK is allowing season ticket holders who renewed their tix prior to the April 13 deadline to take a comprehensive tour of Commonwealth..
lt'll provide access to the recruiting room, press area, team areas, premium spaces and playing field.

May drive down for this. I'm an idiot sucker.

Guarantee the renovation won't be finished yet, we'll be embarrassed in front of the entire universe on national television, and Mitch will be the laughing stock of every sporting fan on the planet. Total cover up job by the UKAA. You'll get a peak at the recruiting room and that's it.

Yes? Not sure what your question is. Is Twitter stale? Well, yeah. Product has barely improved or changed over the last 3 years. Moments is a joke. The character limit sucks. Also, your favorite sports teams aren't playing right now, so your feed is less interesting. They also switched to an algo feed instead of reverse chronological, unless you turn it off, which apparently nobody but me did. So you are probably missing a lot of content.

It's why the users aren't growing anymore and the stock is in the ******* and probably going lower.

Yeah I pretty much quit on Twitter too, not a whole lot to see on there right now and anything that shoves politics down my throat (not necessarily twitters fault) is going to lose me as a participant. Furthermore, I'm lazy and just get my info on here from people who are staying up to date on that stuff from Twitter.

Night Manager with another strong showing. Have to think Tom Hiddleston is a favorite for the next 007.

Yeah, I didn't have a question, really. Just figured you would have an interesting take on it.

I think now would be a good time to tell him. He makes as much as Billy Kennedy. Time to get him out of here and hire some scrub for 50K a year.

He is coaching next year because his buyout is over 900K. my guess is after they lose all the recruits and barely have enough to form a team after next year then he is fired.

-Rax, the takes by Booker and 73 are pretty spot-on, but I'll add that I think your oldest would really like the Reds HOF that's connected to the stadium. My daughter went back when she was 6-7 and loved it, and she's not nearly as into baseball as your boy is. If you wanted to make a whole day of it, that would be a good way to go. Also (dad tip) there has been an "everything's a dollar" concession stand pretty close to the kids' zone in recent seasons. Not sure if it's still there, but would make the Mrs. happy if you saved some $$$ by going that route.

-Parents got their house sold AND bought a house in Versailles on the very same day. Assuming everything goes smoothly, they'll move straight from one right into the other. It's sucked pretty bad to watch them stress out over the house AND my mom's condition simultaneously over the last couple of years, so I'm glad at least one of those burdens will be lifted.

-Wife has gotten us super-hooked on "Impractical Jokers" on truTV. Thought it was cheesy at first, but now I'm a fan. And it's nice to actually have a show that both of us enjoy. It's the little things, guys.
