Still blows me away that we have posters get surprised/upset when they get banned from UofL boards... Stop letting them get under your skin people. They can't win and they are ashamed of their program but can't outright say it so they stick their head in the sand and try to ignore it. The only way they can do that is by banning us and making fun of us, so just wear it as a badge of pride.

And the fact that one of their mods comes over hear to see what we are saying about him smacks of low self-esteem and needing attention, just like a toddler.

It's a joke! They all think they know it all and claim that they can compete with UK or Duke in recruiting. They get the players that the likes of UK and Duke are not seriously interested in. From the past I've seen where they do come over here and quote this board since the mods and daily posters over there are insecure pansies. They've gotten really hostile over this whole prostitution mess.

So, you go to a blood rival's board and talk completely out of your rear end about something you know nothing about, taunting them in the process, and you wonder why you got run?

Sounds like you were being a fool and deserved to get banned.
On occasion just enter discussion, but usually just to read up on football and basketball. I guess the Ban has really taken a toll on some of their fans because they are overly sensitive now.

There is no discussion to be had on a Louisville board by a UK fan. Just like no Louisville troll does on this one. No one there cares what you think, or wants a conversation with you. I will never get the fascination with posting there. They are less than UK. You make yourself little when you engage them.

Exactly what evidence do you have that he doesn't have any real interest in Louisville? As someone who lives in his hometown, has been to about 25 of his games the past two seasons and friends with all of his coaches, I've heard absolutely nothing remotely like what you're saying. Kid/family not tipping their hand to anyone about which way he's leaning or who will get scratched earlier rather than later from his list. Anyone claiming to know has zero to back that those assertions up with.
Okay Tard Fan, we get it, you don't like the idea of him playing for UK/Cal. Now go away.

Romeo,if you want to go to college classes for 4 years,go to UL. If you want to go to class for 1 year then look at your other offers.
I get that many of these kids don't want to attend college for 4 years, if at all, however using this as the "hook" isn't flattering at all. I don't believe that its the essence of Cal's message. I believe Cal's pitch is phrased something more like... If you'd like to play for the premier program in college basketball, where your talents will be put on display on a national stage nearly every game, where you will be tested by some of the best talent daily in practice, where you'll have a legitimate chance at a national championship every year, where you will be pushed to become the best version of yourself on a basketball court, where the fans will LOVE you and show up to EVERY game, and if you choose to stay until you graduate, where you can get an excellent education... If all of this sounds like somewhere you'd like to be, then, come to the University of Kentucky. If not, go somewhere else.

I've been banned from the Louisville board because I told them that Louisville doesn't have a chance with Romeo and they all acted like morons and argued with me. I just told the truth and said he doesn't have any real interest in the cards and it would be a waste of time for Pitino to put much effort in his recruitment. Anyway they called me a troll and insulted me. I defended myself and got banned. That boards a joke

Hey what do you post as over there. I went to see and didn't see any Kentucky fans in the thread?

Includes video Q&A with Romeo. If he's obsessed with Duke, he has a good way of hiding it.

He states that Louisville was his team growing up, and Pinto has been to a few of his games as well. I seen him give Romeo a standing ovation after he dropped 46 at semi-state.

He is rated higher than both fox or monk per max preps. It is kind of insane how talented this kid is.

Lol, this coming from a fan of fhe most scandalous academic fraud in college history. You're a real piece of work.

Because I'm a UNC fan I can't speak to the fact the our education system is in shambles? You assume that because I am a UNC fan I must think we are innocent in this? I don't. Am I happy with what has transpired at UNC? Obviously not. Do I think the media sensationalized the men's basketball part to an extent? Yes. Do I think you do not know all the facts? I do. However, you are painting every fan from a school to be exactly the same. Imagine if I did that to every Kentucky fan (by the way I graduated from the University of Kentucky).

Who's the real piece of work?

Keep on deflecting. It's what you unc fans do. Smh.

You support a system that covers up crime. You are slightly more above a Nazi.

Disgusting

How can you actually claim to have graduated from UK, and root for them? Just doesn't seem possible.

Bkocats- I can't tell you how grateful I am that you 'liked' my post regarding Steelers. You're a first class poster and while I try to be the same I can't stay classy when Steelers is involved. He should be banned from our board IMO due to the way he has abused the system. He perma banned me from the UL board simply for 'liking' a post on their site. I could have posted the local weather forecast on the UL board and he would have banned me. He's now on our board trolling me and 'liking' my posts simply to expose himself as the loser he really is. I respect our MODS but Steelers is a pshycho that has no place posting on our site. We would have a better board if that sicko was banned forever plus one day from our site.

champ, let the low life follow you around like the scum that he is. I called him out every time he came on here acting like he was a brother. He has trashed us on the ul site for YEARS and for some reason didn't think we read his trash. Yes he should be banned from here. Oh steelers please like my post too. LOL

I hate that this has to be a narrative. As if getting a 4 year degree is somehow a failure in today's world. I get what your point is, but as a high school educator it really upsets me.

Well I'm sure unc fans like those 4 yr imaginary degrees, I can see where you are coming from.

Especially when there are such easy avenues to obtaining a degree i.e. fake classes, bogus majors.

Love that picture....can't say enough
Do you know anything about it? It's like a 24"x 36" print, probably from the 60's or 70's. I've always wondered about the origin, but it's the only one I've ever seen.

I use to visit their boards several years ago for comic relief. Posted early on but also was quickly banned. Have not visited their sites now in quite some time and honestly feels great not having been there as its nothing but a cesspool. If morons and nitwits post there daily but you never read it, it's like they don't even exist. Found I like it better that way.

There is not much point, because you are not going to listen or think anything I have to say is credible at all. You are a rival fan base, and so nothing I have to say will change your mind a out what you feel. Similar to how fans are with Cal and his past transgressions.

It certainly is correct that athletes enrolled in the courses at a higher rate when compared to the entire student population. However, non-athlete African American students also enrolled in African American studies courses at a higher rate when compared to the entire student population. It's all about how you present your data (as it is in everything). I am a JCPS teacher. The data they have presented to freeze teacher salaries supports their views. However, I could find data to support that teachers in JCPS do not make as much as similar teachers from other districts around the country, especially when based on cost of living.

Sure athletes enrolled in these courses, but the number of athletes who enrolled in more than one of these course was actually small. I think it was around 11%. This 11% also included some athletes who went pro early and were taking such course after leaving UNC to play professional sports where independent studies fit their schedule better.

Did UNC have some lack of oversight? Absolutely, and the courses were beneath the rigor one would expect But the fact of the matter is that UNC was investigated THREE times and no evidence was found that athletics were involved besides an advisor for WBB. Maybe it is not a vast conspiracy?

Over the time span of the investigation, athletes from all sports took, on average 1.16 independent study courses during their time at UNC. In no instance was a case found where no work was required. The so called paper-classes, or independent study courses are actually quite common and required a 20-25 page paper. No evidence was ever found for a student athlete getting a grade without turning in a paper over three independent investigations.

Again, of course (as an educator), I am appalled at what has transpired. However, I also know people do not have all the facts. I also believe the major issues start far below the collegiate level. As a high school educator I watch kids graduate every year who do not deserve their diploma. I have had athletes go on to colleges who would not be there without playing a collegiate sport. I have had to go to the board of education to protest one of my students being allowed to graduate (a counselor allowed them to do 2 sections of eschool and changed their grade without me knowing). We set kids up for failure by putting them in positions where they simply are not ready to succeed. It's a shame, but it the current reality.

Cal doesn't have any past transgressions and he's never been accused of any. UNC has 20 years worth of transgressions, and they have been accused. Whether the NCAA does what's right or not, UNC will always be known by those who have paid attention as one of the worst offenders ever.

Romeo could very well be interested in the Cardinals if they have a couple if "hot" Juliet's there.
Heck I am a CARDS fan but even I have to laugh at this. BTW, have you seen Skanktina and her gurls? Hot would not be how I would classify them. And we wonder why we do not get top recruits. hahaha. I cannot see Romeo really looking at UofL when it comes down to time to pick a school. As much as I would love to see him there I think UK and Duke are the clear paths for most top kids who want to shine in their one or two years in college before making the bigs.
