Ah... total renovation coming. Sure. An obvious appeasement of Sloot, at least until she hires a realtor. I've seen it a hundred times, bub.

Enjoy.
Things are a bit backwards here. I want the renovations and have a desire to move. We just love the location way too much. Have great neighbors that aren't going anywhere. She doesn't really care. I mean we're not living in Camp Taylor.

I don't really care what you two think you desire. Backyard is too small and the street is too busy for George. Just wait. You'll see. :)

Camp Taylor is a great neighborhood for working class folks.

If you don't relocate that above-the-fireplace TV, your renovation will be an abject failure.

Job One.
Actually we likely will remove that TV after it's all finished. Just not to the bed room. Plan on turning the current deck into an entertainment room with big windows that can make it feel outdoors. At least 2 TVs in there so won't need one in the living room. Would like to expose the fireplace brick currently covered by drywall.

Glad to hear it. [thumb2]

- Anth is getting way too much attention today. Barf.

- So, with all this ridiculous college PC culture run amok these days, are fraternities in danger at all of being extinct or altered in a major way by the time our boys G-man, Ben and Joey Hovs get to college? I enjoy poking fun at my boys on here from time to time, but actually find fraternities to be a cool tradition. Seems like they're taking more and more heat every year.

My Honda self-propelled keeps my fescue lookin stupid nice and I can't wait to get home and mow it this evening. I like my grass to get a little tall so that it flows in the wind a bit just so my neighbors can see it and know their puny grass could never do that because it lacks body and volume. Then I hit it with the 3.75", spray off the mower, then lay down and wack myself hard.

Brax what's a good shrub that would work well enough in the shade? Like beneath a huge *** tree...oakleaf hydrangea? Some kind of rhododendron? I just need something that gives me height and can tolerate shade....and slightly less than ideal planting conditions. There are lots of surface roots, and drainage is not ideal, but the area will be built up about 12-15".

I have a beautiful rhododendron the stupid previous owner put right next to the house in a 3x2' space that gets more hot afternoon sun, and it kicks ***. I'm thinking if that plant does well there, it would probably do better with more protection from hot sun.

30k seems pretty inexpensive compared to some of the weddings I've been to this year, Shew. Hell the rehearsal dinner at the Apiary cost about that much.

I have lawn service, and a cleaning lady. I take no pride in cutting grass or scrubbing toilets. I have other ways I'd rather spend the time. Although I do enjoy and take pride in washing the Porsche and my boat...go figure.

Anth pretty much can never move now without taking massive heat. Way to dig in bro.

Austin is bad ***. Eddie V's, mercy. Gonna see Smashing Pumpkins tonight.

Remembering why I did this.

-I'm hankering to play a little golf. Just sucks it will be on a Sunday and take 5.5 hours. Bottle Service Tom, Harris, and Bob should treat me to their new course.

-FYI, Western Ky folks, Bryant HVAC Evansville/Owensboro/Henderson is open and happy to help.

-Maybe when I get older in retirement I'll enjoy mowing and gardening. As of now, I don't. Grew up doing it. Cut my yard from 10 until 4 years ago.

-Vendor brought in Donato's out of the blue. Oompfh. It was good Donato's and won out over cashews, fruit salad and string cheese.

-When I go on vacation I have 1 or 2 local meals that I plan out. Bob seriously eats every vacation meal like he's on death row. How do you eat a huge *** steak last night and follow it up with a plate of fried chicken today? One nasty *** meal and I'm at least 36 hours from eating anything bad again.

-Frats will be fine, way too many influential alumni out there. They're just all neutered and that really was going on when we were in school.

Oh, that reminds me of my SNACKDOWN!!!1! this weekend...

  • Taste of Belgium for brunch Saturday- waffle and side of goetta
  • Nada for dinner Saturday- chicken/fish/barbacoa tacos, washed it down with a marg; kind of hate their chips and salsa, though
  • Eli's BBQ for lunch Sunday- pulled pork, jalapeno grits, mashed potatoes; their sambos are obviously elite, but I like the City BBQ sides a tad better, jmo

Well I split that steak last night, and I don't really think having two pieces of fried chicken is the end of the world. I'm on vacation, I like to try out local things. I didn't come to Texas for the salad.

I would totally hire PTI to run for me. No 100 miles stuff, maybe just a half marathon.

Just mowed the yard after delivery. Was pretty wodie, actually. [smoke] 1:15. Figure another 15-20 once I get my bottom barrel big box store weed-eater.

2 beers, 2 crispies, and 1st run through for Sturgill on the headphones. I can handle this.

-TOTAL reno? I thought you were just going to add on the back?

How's Boca in Cincy?

Citi takes my wife there from time to time when she's up on business and she says I have to try it. Compares it to 610 Magnolia.

That was before I saw what the neighbor is getting past the ND1. First floor will be similar. Might open a few walls up, for sure a remodeled bathroom and the back porch becoming a room. The upstairs will add 2 rooms and 1 bath. So yeah, basically total reno is what I'm thinking right now. Probably 18 months out.

I'm all about some food on vacation, but I have no idea how Bob eats steak so damn much. Steak is my "once per trip" meal, and that's only if in an American city. In normal life, maybe once or twice per month, at most. I mean, steak is awesome, but his last trip to Vegas he ate huge *** prime steaks 4 night in a row.

Learn other foods.
