On my side of Cooper, it is or at least it pretty close. One house down a bit is probably better because its a better setup. On the other side of Copper, probably not some really nice setups over there. Regardless, it's kept very clean when 50% of the other yards(all cut by homeowners) are over grown regularly.

No problem calling it like it is. I don't like doing it. It doesn't save me money. It's a small yard. I don't feel pride in pushing a lawn mower. I don't get some silly self worth from being a "man" and doing yard work. If you do, have at it.

Lol, at BBdk of all people lecturing me about self awareness. Only Pope would top you on that list, pal.

My yard is too effing big to mow. Screw that nonsense. Well worth $100 every week or 2. Would take me hours and hours and hours. And I'm just not going to do that.

Only lecturing you on being a Dbag.
Lol, BBdk loses his free lawn mowing so of all the sudden mowing is the greatest thing on earth. He buys a primo RIDING lawn mower for a lot inside the city. Promotes it like he's a life long mower and I'm not a man + a douche for having someone cut my grass. At least I respect SAE for being genuine in his concern for my mowing preference.

I am who I am, fine with it. Sorry you made a silly purchase that you will justify selling in a little over a year. We've seen this out of you several times over the years.

I was asked why I got a mower, and the answer is to mow our yard. We have nearly an acre, not sure what "inside the city" has to do with anything. Also, you seem pretty clueless as to how much our mower cost, btw.

I have zero problems with paying people to mow their yard, we've done that for 5 years. Now, we aren't. We paid her brother $40 per week to mow our yard. That's over 1K per year, which may equal "free" to a Schembari.

1 1/2 -2 hours every 5-7 days and my yard looks like Augusta...and made it look like this on my own. Unless you are handicapped, work 16 hour days every day of the week, or can't walk from here to there w/o falling over, then not mowing your own yard reeks of extreme laziness. TS.

Life advice.

Never knew mowing a yard was such a big deal. I hate yard work, btw. All of it. Doing it on something cool and shiny will make it more tolerable though...of course. Anth can't relate to that though, LOL.

I love mowing, weeding, planting, pruning, mulching, etc. probably my number 1 hobby, and yes I know this is because I'm a giant weirdo. I just love plants! HAVING SAID THAT, my yard (turf) pretty much sucks. Ball homes rolled sod out on top of about 6" of topsoil on top of 3' of construction debris so getting good healthy grass is a challenge. My Delaware valley azalea are starting to bloom though.

Anth - y'all ever do anymore work with Jeff? They do have a lawn service as well.

Never realized how high scoring baseball is these days until I started Gambol this year. Not sure how it compares to the past, really, but they score (on average) way more than I thought.

Our yard sucks balls. Basically live in a mini forest. Back yard is hopeless with Gillie, but am interested in getting the front looking nice, or better. BIL had priced us Sod....that's out. Shew, I don't care THAT much.

Do Scots and other similar products really work? #NoWill

I'd estimate we're working with about 15% actual grass at this point.

Spray with weed be gone and a few days later put down Scotts Max Green Lawn. Apply everty 6 weeks. $20 a bag which should cover your front yard.

Will do WONDERS for your yard.

FYI make sure you do not get it on sidewalks or driveways as the iron will cause rust stains.

Will thicken and green your yard like a professional.

Our front/side yard is around 14,000 sq feet. Sounds like a LOT of bags.

Wouldn't do it myself obviously, was just curious if it was worth the $$$.

Was actually reading "At Home" last night about how the lawn became a source of pride. Really only in the last 150 years. Before that you'd be using sheep. This while he's explaining how after centuries we stopped using human **** and rotting fish guts on crops when we finally figured out proper fertilizer. Then mentioned the irony related to working so hard to have a lovely lawn while the it's one of the least green(environmentally speaking) things we do. Congrats on destroying the environment.

In short, highly recommend that book for you inquisitive types. Goes room by room on how our homes have evolved.

Paying some strangers $80 a month to mow, trim (lol), edge, etc. so I can be at the pool with my keeyuds >>>>>>> spending 2 hours every Saturday in the 90 degree heat with 99% humidity pushing a damn mower all over the damn place.

And that doesn't even take into account leaf blowing in the fall/winter. NEVER AGAIN. Still just $80 a month, and well worth every penny.

Learn cost-benefit analysis.

Mowing isn't that bad, but weed eating sucks ***. The cost of paying someone to mow is worth it just for the weed eating.

HA. Didn't know you had commonwealth in your front yard. It is only three bags that will get you there. So for $60 in two-three weeks you will have best yard on block.

Really if you did it one more time around July it should last you through summer. So $120 isnt bad.

Lol, I was looking at the Scots lawn soil by mistake....where 1 bag = 24sq ft.

3 bags sounds better than 583.

All of this has caused me to wonder if Anth knows that he's moving in 18+/- months. Bigger house/yard for George, quieter street, neighborhood prestige upgrade...

I mean, he knows that already, right?

Total renovation of the house. Not moving.
