A conversation on Archie will quickly expose those who know basketball and those who only watch the ball.

A conversation on Archie will show you how skal is a projected lottery pick.
Let's face it at UK he wasn't very good. He's a freak athlete with a crazy high ceiling. The NBA loves high ceilings

Randle is the most underrated player in the Calipari era, and one of the most underrated in our history.

I've never seen a player fouled as much as he was, and it go allowed. The guy owned double and triple teams.

Yes. Randle even eclipsed Kenny Walker in that respect. I don't even think Walton or Alcindoor were triple teamed like Randle.

Randle will be the better NBA player. He was also a better college player. He just happened to be a victim of his own success. Teams started triple teaming him because we lacked consistent shooters. Jones played with teams much more capable of spreading the floor.

Lack of shooters played a part but after what he did to Michigan state he was never going to see single coverage again. Made Payne look like a child.

Randle would have been a perfect fit last year with Ulis and Murray

Probably bam too.

Any decent to good big for that matter. Harrellson would have been one hell of an upgrade. Jones would have made us a Final-4 team. We lacked one quality big. Just awful to think about.

if randle had dealt better with double & triple teams early in the season, he wouldn't have seen so many of them

he had 4 or 5 assists against wichita state in the tourney, and suddenly that team was off to the races

randle brought ball movement to an okaforesque grinding halt. he was congenitally incapable of catching the ball in the ft area and reversing it with a simple pass--he'd stare at his guy and jab step

tj's nba per 36s are quite respectable, and he's shot over 50% for his career. he's better than randle at everything except rebounding

Archie had a great walk. And you lost the right to judge any player, ever.

We have not had a big man like Bam...it's going to be crazy....hes going to have some insane numbers some games...rebounding mainly ....would be sweet to see a 20 20 game. I think he's capable.

Randle had terrific touch inside and he was a better rebounder than Jones. I thought Jones was the better defender, ballhandler and passer. Both provided a beastly physical presence, which we found out last year is so necessary.

I'm talking about the year before Randle,, nit year.. But on the year you're talking about,, you are correct..
I can't believe this has been here since Saturday and no one has called you out yet. Can I get a little bit of whatever you were smoking when you were remembering Randle playing in the NIT?

We really haven't had a player like Bam in a long time. Not that we haven't had talented frontcourt players. With Cal's recruiting, we always have great Bigs. The difference with Bam is he's the type of big who can motivate others with one exciting big play. With his nonstop motor, when he attempts to rip off the rim with one of his putback jams, Rupp Arena will come alive. We have had exciting players under Cal, but all of those guys did it in a different way than Bam will. When you have a big like Bam, one play can change the entire mood of the game. Our other players will feed off the excitment and THUNDER Bam will bring to Rupp Arena. I wanted this kid the minute i saw his mixtape, but after being told no way to lure him away from NcState, i kind of gave up that fantasy and then he commits to Kentucky. He will compete for being the best college basketball player in the entire country and imo will end up going #1 in the NBA draft. As weird as it is for me to say, i also believe Bam will be a better Nba player than college. He is built for today's Nba game. Once gms get a look at what he does to college frontcourt, his upside will be too much to pass on after the season is over. Let's all hope he doesn't see the same style of D as Randle. If any big in the country goes one on one with Bam, we score. If they start to bring double teams, let's hope Bam is a better passer than Randle. No disrespect meant towards Randle. That kid was fouled more than any player and not called during Kentucky's entire history. I know thats a big statement, but if you went back and watched every game, i bet it's the truth.
