I'm calling it, KU knocks off Duke in the champions classic. Self won't be able to ruin that team that early on in the year

So lately Bill Self can't recruit a top PG to save his life...and Cal can't get a top SF to sign at UK to save his life lately. UK has great PG's (Wall, Ullis, Knight, Fox) and Kansas has great SF's (Henry, Wiggins, Oubre, Jackson)

I doubt both Ferguson and Jackson would come to Kansas. I hate to say it but that's something UK pulls off on occasion, not so much us.

Ferguson wouldn't start and that might be a problem....the apocalypse would happen before Self plays Ferguson over Mason or Graham they are "his guys".

They have a good backcourt but we have to remember they had all kinds of talent last year and experience and look what happened. Plus they were very deep. KU will be good but time will tell how good.

I don't think I saw a more talented team than you guys had and UCONN won, titles are a crap shoot.

In 2011, UCONN was not shabby, they had the best player on the court, in 2014, yes, UK was more talented but that team just barely got it going to be in that position and we had a key injured player.ONe thing that is not a crap shoot is that the more talented KU is the more likely they flame out earlier in the tournament

Coaching matters in March. Cal is a great March coach but he still gets really tight at times and it trickles down to the players.

We choked in 2015. Plain and simple. We choked in 2010 and maybe even 2011 as well.

In 2014 we shot poorly from the free throw line but the bigger issue was the inability to contain Napier and Boatright. That wasn't Cal's fault or a product of choking but a matter of just not having the personnel to get the job done. Aaron, Andrew and James Young just weren't quick enough and our rim protector got hurt in the S16.

But yeah, is much crap as we give Kansas about self underperforming in March Cal still has some of that choke in him too.

Not really. The cream always rises to the top a good majority of the time. As KU fans, I completely understand why most of you have this opinion, though.

Poor Fergy has nowhere to go. KU and Zona are loaded in the backcourt. Wonder where he goes now?

Oh, I thought it was "officially" University of Kentucky and Kansas University. So what you're saying is we are both UK? I didn't know that, you've taught me something tonight.

All the old Big 8 teams do that. The University of Oklahoma is OU. The University of Colorado is CU. Etc.

There are so many good recruits this year that all the top programs will get plenty. Amazing that Jackson, Ferguson, Allen, and Bolden were still available. Duke and UK are "full" so they have to go somewhere. Therefore, Kansas, Mich St, and Arizona will all be loaded also

Unless he becomes a knock down shooter... I'm not worried.... They went from having 4 great shooters down to 2 in their lineup.

also.... Self never puts the team on the back of a freshman .

Some of you guys are delusional. Kansas is one of the top 5 programs of all time. They along with UK, UNC, Duke,and UCLA- during the Wooden era will almost always have great classes. All of us will usually be in contention for a title....but as we all know they are hard to win. I love it when a lot of schools are loaded....it makes for great seasons a great games. Self is a great coach in my opinion...a great recruiter for sure just like Cal....I think they both have beaten each other for their NCAA championship. Also both have underachieved at times but that could be said for all great coaches.

Good job. You spend day and night on UK's site as a Kansas fan. You're the small percentage of crappy fans every fan base has that flails his arms for attention of your rivals instead of hanging out with your own kind.
