If you need to have it explained to you why it must be a neutral court game then this conversation needs to end. For starters your gym is pathetic and does not benefit us to play in it. Keep in mind we don't trade home and home with Duke either. The games are always neutral. The purpose is to prepare for a tournament. The tournament games are never played in venues like Indiana's.
Second UK has dominated this so called rivalry. We've won 17 of the last 23 and that's giving you guys credit for the losses that occurred under Gillispie. There is no reason to treat you better than we treat Duke. It's neutral sites or nothing.
Also in case you missed the news you guys stampeded the floor during the game. There was a clear and justifiable concern for the security of our players and their families. Several players complained of being harassed while trying to leave the floor. Family members of the players that were in attendance had beer thrown on them and were cussed at. Several fans were knocked to the ground and trampled on. UK, not just Calipari were appalled at the lack of security and should have been.
A better question is why is Creen afraid of neutral site games. He and the rest of the Hoosier fan base need to realize that you don't hold the cards here. We don't have to give in to your demands just to save the series. We play games against Duke UNC and Kansas every year. We don't need this game. It does nothing for us.

Its obvious that we should've been in a&m's shoes as far as seeding but the committee had other plans for UK. Knowing how the committee chose seeding, we see that it is not worth playing to win your conference tournament. That is overlooked by early season loses to potential nit teams.......
I do admit that UK for the most part, has had a lot of success that other teams wished they had. We should be very proud of this fact.
The committee can not make things fair to every team in the tourney. Im already amazed though that Mich St. got beat by a 15 seed....Thats gotta hurt worse than our loss to IU.........seriously, we should put things in to proper perspective.

I do think betting has a lot to do with it. I do not put it past these refs to bet on games and then subtly manipulate the games as much as they can to try to make some extra cash. I don't think they decide the outcome, but they do influence score. It helps explain part of the inconsistency on calls.

The ncaa doesn't hate uk. They hate one and dones. It goes against everything they make money on. If cal weren't doing this and Kentucky just had the same approach to recruiting as everyone else, then two things would happen. 1, the talent would be dispersed, creating more money for the ncaa. 2, the talent would likely be around longer than a year, again creating more profits.

You're being a bit melodramatic. An NBA caliber player is going to go to the NBA no matter what college he attends. We're not taking nobodies and putting them in the pros. We're taking future pros and putting them in the pros.
Cal encourages these kids to leave early even when that's a borderline call. Nobody's going to starve if a kid goes pro after his junior year instead of after his freshman year. And in the meantime we might win another title or two.

Just watching that, you'll NEVER see UK fans behave that way in Rupp Arena. As someone who goes a lot, I've never whitnessed anything like that. It's why I get pissed when cal tells us to not do "this" or "that" during games. It's like he's so used to Memphis garbage he's gone def to how UK even operates.

For the record, I believe cal created a, hmmmm, a culture, of sorts. A culture that lends itself to the belief that "can go" means "should go". Now you're right, cal isn't pushing them out the door with a fork lift. However, he's not killing the perception either. He's playing it for recruiting purposes. Cal feels it's beneficial for him. I get that, but it's kind of a two way street, IMO
But cal only told the ones that are absolutely guaranteed to leave, minus maybe Ulis.
The thing that I hate the most is when the NCAA remotely controls the ball like on the 8 missed threes by Murray. THAT pisses me off and it's so obvious. He was stellar in the regular season. Same thing for Willis, but they also used the floor magnets on him to keep him from defending easy layups. I'm on to them and I'm gonna have it looked in to by the right people.
I'll go a step further. I think there's some bias in the selection process that makes things harder for certain teams.
Everyone hates UK but us.
A lot of people hate Duke and UNC but those guys are treated much better by the media than us and that effects how everyone else involved in the sport(fans, referees, committee members) perceive those teams.
UNC is in the middle of being investigated over a decades long academic scandal and somehow UK and Cal are still the bad guys.
I really don't think they thought we had a chance in hell of beating Wichita a few years ago. Nor did they think we'd beat UL again.
Now that they've seen IU get the job done I bet they're in our region every year.
I have no reason to not believe him when he says he just gives them feedback.
Look at Roy, K and other coaches, no way they are being honest with their kids.
The NCAA had nothing to do with Auburn,UCLA,Tenn,Ohio St,,and the othe crap teams beating us..Beat the crap teams we would be a 1 or a 2 seed ...We had it setup with the regional in Louisville..So blame the players and or Cal..Some think the early losses didnt matter and rankings didnt matter...news flash..It matters

Sadly, No, it really does not. There's more to the collapse of Ky high school basketball in the last two decades than just that, and that doesn't explain just how embarrassingly wide the disparity has become. But that's a discussion for a different day not worth getting into now.

It was home and home 2007-2012; neutral 1991-2006; mostly home and home with neutral scattered in 1970-1990 and sporadic before that.
IU lost its home and home privileges when you stormed the court in 2012. In the last seven years, Kentucky has had the court stormed after a road loss by South Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss, Vandy, LSU, Robert Morris and Indiana. One of those schools is historically superior to the rest and should be above rushing the floor over a December game.
That's why the series died. We'll play you in Indy or Louisville anytime, but you're grounded from hosting. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
You can't serve two masters, its either program winning or players first, can they co-exist yes, on occasion, but Cal's model means bringing in the best talent year after year, Every 3 years a super team will evolve that has a 40-50% chance of winning the title. HIs recruiting pitch is unquestionably the best to high talent recruits, he gets players to the NBA better than anybody in the history of the game. Winning titles is a by-product of the process, but not the focus, getting the best talent is, and Cal does that. It is what it is.....No criticism, just truth

Plus Duke now has Oregon as their 1 seed. It was talked about throughout the season how the PAC 12 went out of their way to game the RPI this year and their teams were likely going to be over seeded.
Oregon is the lone PAC12 team left standing after getting 6 in. They were 1 of only 2 teams to make it out of the first round. Zona, Oregon State, Utah and Cal were all beaten but double digit seeds!
I just don't think the selection committee is as clueless as some would like us to believe.
Duke is likely going to beat Oregon IMO, and then get a wore out, emotionally drained Texas A&M or Oklahoma in the E8 because that game is going to be an absolute war.
I'll also be absolutely appalled if UNC wins the whole thing like I think they will. To me they look like the team best built to get it done and that would be a real shame if the NCAA drug their feet just long enough for them to get one more title before they get hit.
Also, a guy I know that was there said IU fans sitting behind our bench heckled the players and Cal the entire game and no one from IU attempted to stop it. You do that at Rupp and you are out the door.

Cal thinks the current NCAA system is pure horse sheet - with hundreds of millions of dollars going to the NCAA, schools, and coaches, with the kids still being treated like indentured servants and getting nothing in exchange for the wear and tear on their bodies.
I think history will prove Cal to be right as opposed to the Bobby Knights or Rick Pitinos of college basketball who expect these kids to sacrifice themselves to glorify their alma mater and cement their coaches legacy.
Cal will be Kentucky's anti-Rupp in that I think history will remember him as being on the right side of a movement - whereas Rupp has been unfairly on the wrong side of the movememt to integrate college basketball.

I don't understand your thinking. If Baylor hadn't lost to a 13 seeded Yale then they would have played Duke. If Michigan State beat #15 seed Middle Tennessee State then they would have played Syracuse. If a 3 seed West Virginia could have beaten #14 seed SFA then they would have gone on to play Notre Dame.
Do you realize that if Indiana had lost to #12 seed Chattanooga (Matt Norlander, Myron Medcalf, Jerry Palm, Brian Hamilton, Nick Kostos were among the so-called experts who predicted Chattanooga would upset Indiana), that's who we would have drawn for the 2nd round? I do agree that Kentucky and Indiana were both underseeded, but all we had to do was take care of business and it would be us playing on Friday, not Indiana.
