And then we lose the final game and these same folks are heartbroken like these kids let them down personally.

Oh yeah, and of course Cal cannot coach.

And the One and Done is awful....


Next year the same people will be clamoring for 40-0.... until the first loss and then tell us how bad we suck again.


I apologize that I just cannot conjure up enough sympathy and offer a shoulder for so many to cry on.

They were down 3 players and much more balanced. Our bigs are simply not reliable enough.

I'm just so sad for Tyler Ulis. He's one of my favorite players to wear the uniform. But he couldn't drag this team there on his own. Funnily, we were right in the game, despite a horrible outside shooting night. I just wish Tyler could win a title. He deserves one.

I agree we had better individual talent, but they sure seemed to have a better team. At least when our bigs dont decide to show up.

Much more balanced. We have played 2 on 5 way too many times this season.

I like us with Lee, Poy and Skal contributing but I have to give them credit they were without 3 key players.

Can you imagine if we were without 3 key players...?

I understand the "but not Indiana" thing, but it most likely would have been worse if we won. I honestly believed if we got by IU that UNC would stomp us. Their front line vs ours would've been a crime scene. Then people would likely have said "I wish we didn't lose like this to UNC of all people".

There's never an easy time to lose. It would have been "if only it hadn't been to UNC," then "man, we beat Carolina and had an easy path, why did we have to lose in such a wide open year?"

It's always something. We've won it 8 times in over a hundred years and the rest suck. One team wins it each year. Lots of good teams, with far fewer flaws than this year's Cats, go home losers.

Very few are in the conversation each year. We're one of them. The rest is insanity. That's why people who know nothing about sports watch this tournament. It's unpredictable, random and often cruel.

You should know this by now.

It is no secret how much you dislike IU, and it does suck but like you said our frontcourt wasnt taking us anywhere and the only shred of light is that maybe Crean gets another 10 year extension...?

I guess I just never developed any faith in our frontcourt and was not surprised with the loss.



Who do we have as consistent as Bryant in the paint?

Which 3 of our top 8 players could we lose and still beat IU?

All week long all you could read on here was the jokes about Crean and how overrated IU was. Its always hard to have to eat your own crow.

In nearly every game this year it was evident that our defense was our weak link. The more games we played it became more obvious.

Crean coached an excellent game by taking advantage of this. Indiana out quicked every player on the floor, even Ulis our best defender was taken to the cleaners several times.

Indiana's defense has to be credited for stopping Ulis and Murray, instead of saying they just had an off night shooting.
We may send more players to NBA than Indiana, but the bottom line is Indiana has best Team.

The season is not over, we still may win it all by sending 4-5 players to NBA,
I believe that is one of our main goals.

I can understand why Cal does not like to have traditional rivals on our schedule. although he has softened a little on that.

I'm anxious to see how many have changed their mind about Crean's coaching ability. jmho

This year we probably beat iu 6/10 times...poor perimeter shooting and another egg layed by the frontcourt made that one of those 4.

What's funny is the IndBreds strutting around like they just knocked off our 2012 team...meh, it will just raise the level of their fall next
weekend and lock clappy in for another 6 years or so. [laughing]
