One of my underrated tournament favorites is the big white lumbering honk that can shoot it a little bit, and gives quicker more celebrated bigs fits.

A junior year Eye-Zach would pretty much be the perfect fit for some team like Northern Iowa in the tournament.

-Glad to see my good buddy PTI is still alive. Havent seen, talked to, facebooked, tweeted, called, emailed him in nearly 2 months. Glad hes still kickin.

-I think Charles Matthews is going to have a game or 2 in the tourney where he really shows up. Plays some killer d, grabs a bunch of boards, finishes with some dunks. Kind of like Lee a few years ago. Kid showed some signs at the SECT of what he can be.

-Saving myself these next two days for Saturday with WCC and bbdk. Going to take it easy, drink lots of water, get to bed at a nice early time and be ready to get loose around 2pm. Starting now.

-Having said that, Ill never understand the St. Pattys Day phenomenon. Dropped my daughter off at School at 7:15, went to the gym, then starting getting texts about running down to Mollys in Covington for a few St. Pattys Day beers. So I went.830am there are 1000 people there in the tent and bar decked out in green, pounding Murphy's and Guiness, downing Irish Car Bombs and singing weird songs. I stayed for a couple of Guiness and a bloody mary or two and got home about 45 minutes ago and Im heading to work. SMH. Some people are so immature.

-Cats -14 tonight is a lock. Jump on it early and often. We win by 20+.

- Considering Matthews' physique and game, he's not a bad choice for a small ball 4 on occasion. Dude isn't afraid to scrap and hit the glass.

- Not me. I'm getting BENT tomorrow night. Let'em hang. It's March.

- What's not to get? Americans love to celebrate their heritage. There are a lot of Irish Catholics here. People love drinking and revelry. Plus, Patty's Day falls in the spring when it's just starting to get warm out.

* Great day to be a Wildcat fan.

* Doesn't sound like a lot of Blue made it to Des Moines. Lots of Jayhawks and Hoosiers. Saturday could be like a roadie.

* Two temporary crowns put on this morning. Pleasant. At least the assistant was a new hottie. Always makes the process easier.

* My girls haven't caught Marge & me yet. But I was home from college one weekend and right in the middle of the act (fully exposed - doggy) I looked over and saw my niece peeking around the corner. She was horrified and I didn't know what to do or say.

My girlfriend chased her down and talked to her. Nothing else ever came from it.

* My grass already needs cutting.

* Landscapers should be pruning and mulching at my house today. Can't wait to get home and see the beauty of it all… only to have it snow later this week.

* I've got an overwhelming desire to go fishing. Might see if my Dad wants to make a trip to Barkley/Kentucky here in the next few weeks after the tourney is over.

* Good Skal tonight, good Poythress Saturday night.

* Go Big Blue!

Thank goodness the lights were off. But that kid is crazy stealthy. Could've been there for 10 seconds. Could've been there for a minute.

It all worked out, but I'm waiting for the inevitable "What were you doing to mommy" question in the next few days.
11 years old is what 4-5th grade? He knows. That's birds and the bees age.

My goodness Ingram is such a good looking player...shew. Really, he can handle/initiate almost as good as Simmons, but also has a jumpshot. Not gonna be an easy call for that GM. He's playing PG for them today.

UNCW is nice.

- I love when sportswriters (and others) pontificate on something nearly everyone agrees about. Listening to Norlander and Parrish talking about the Cal-Berkley sexual harassment scandal and of course they have to preach ham-handedly and magnify their outrage. Who are you delivering this sermon to? I think we're all in agreement in 2016 that sexual harassment shouldn't be tolerated.

- Yeah, was worried about Des Moines off the SEC Tourney. Just tough to ask fans to go up there.

UNCW is nice.

Although his frame implies it, he's not soft either. Kid will go battle for a board.

Preach. Listening to Nerdlander drone on and on about how sexual harassment is bad was almost enough to make me turn the damn podcast off.

"I'm sensitive, guys! Don't abuse women! They're our sisters! Keep your laws off their body!"

We get it, Matt. Sexual harassment is bad. So are a lot of things. Were there any people who heard that podcast and said "man, I was gonna go smack my secretary in her dumb face with my ding dong, but Matt Norlander really made me reassess things. Maybe that's not such a good idea after all."

Shut up & break down the East region, Pointdexter.

Well, in his defense, part of the Sportswriter Creed one agrees to when given a job half the sports fans in the United States could adequately perform says that whenever a fellow sportswriter is harmed or otherwise slighted, you must jump to his/her defense with both feet.

Ingram will fill out, too. I'm full-on team Ingram over Simmons. The way you look back on high school pictures of Durant and Garnett and can't believe it's the same human being, that's how Ingram will be. He's going to be serviceable right off the bat, but he'll be an absolute beast in about 3 years.

He's 10, and I honestly don't think he knows that much. Watching Survivor last night, and this chick's giant boobs were just hanging out of her swimsuit on full display. My wife was sitting there huffing and puffing, and the kids barely flinched. 05 finally asked "what's wrong Mom". "Oh nothing, just can't understand why this alliance is the way it is."

There wasn't a kid in my 4th grade class that didn't know what sex was. Don't be naive. We might not have know the nitty gritty but we knew the basics.

We are talking straight arrow conservative St. Matthews here. Most of his friends are giant dorks who set AR records for reading and math skills and dominate quick recall. His "athletic" friends are a bit more on the up and up. But his "academic" friends? Yeah, they need some help.

Walked in on my parents once, was probably 7-8. You've never seen the look of pure terror in someone's eyes like I saw in my mom's at that moment. I'm pretty sure I knew what was going on.

Took today/tomorrow off, nice to be the boss. Best two days of the year in sports. Snacks, drinks, smokes, tv, tablet, phone all running games, and sent the lass out of town until Sunday with her bestie so I could have the place to myself. May not even shower as I don't plan on leaving the couch.

Hopefully Wilmington can keep enough players on the floor to give Duke a run in the second half. Duke's outside shot is broken and their D isn't much better. Pretty much lived at the line the last 8 minutes. Wouldn't hate it if my perfect bracket is busted in the first game of the day

Speaking of coitus interruptus. I was on call this past Saturday and had to take break off and take a fire claim. Try being super friendly and concerned while fully nude...

When would it not be possible?

Well if before you begin, no big deal to get them out of the room. But if they come in the room while I'm doing work, I don't typically want to stop and go chase them. Will tend to stare them down instead. They will often walk off in submission.
