Bolden:

“You saw what Devin Booker said about them, right? He said it was basically the blueprint to the NBA because it’s basically how it’s going to be, with all the good players on one team and you have to learn how to be yourself, do what you can do and just play with a bunch of unselfish guys.”

So, that Cats fall to #19 in the Coaches Poll and I'd imagine may be a tad lower in the AP.

Oddly, the computers like the Cats a lot more.

RPI- #15
KenPom- #10 (UK's "luck" rated in the 300s much like in '11 and '14)
Sagarin- #12
BPI- #16

Harder to win a conference filled with lots of good teams than it is 1 or 2 great ones.

It's harder to win the Big 12 than the SEC these days, and it's really not even close.

...coming off as defending the media here, I'm DEFINITELY not. But, it is quite an accomplishment.

Hmm, love to hear about the convos that made that happen.

Mags?

I just asked him and he said yes. My goal with these podcasts (and the show) is to make good radio. I thought the mix of us would do it. Taping this afternoon and we shall see how it goes.

FWIW, I have been reading GYERO for probably 5 years and while there was definitely a lull in its greatness a year or so ago, I think you guys have been ticking pretty good the last couple of months...you do need some cleansing though. Still in the cesspool of the internet "chatting" forums, this is one of the few bright spots.

I really want Bolden, but more so to keep him away from Duke. I think he'll be a freshman Randolph Morris-like addition, which isn't a bad thing, but I don't think he starts or is a real game-changer by any means.

I think we start:

G- Fox
G- Monk
G- Briscoe
F- Willis
F- Adebayo

Or Gabriel/Willis on the wings and Briscoe off the bench. Humphries and SKJ give you some good role-players inside. Hawkins give you that at guard.

Keep wondering if SKJ isn't way better than we think.

He's skilled and seems to be progressing at a turbo rate. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if he's ahead of Izak & Skal.

-Chicken Fingers are definitely NOT the play, nor are they ever when Bones are an option. Pretty pathetic take from a 'grill master', imo. Combo plate with a Leg & Thigh, grow up. Pretty much the only thing that makes Nashville Hot different is the fact it's fully sauced/pasted pieces of real bird. Marcus Welby order tenders from wing zone otherwise.

I got a leg and a thigh and it's too much to deal with and I prefer dark. It's what I get at Yummy Pollo. The breading to meat ratio was way off. The tender was the best thing I got. Easiest to deal with.

I'll tell you what's NOT the play at Joella's- their weak *** churched up fries, that's what.

Simpleton mistake on my part, but feel duty bound to warn others about it. #nofries

What does "too much to deal with" mean? Picking it up and eating it?

Do you also prefer boneless buffalo tenders to real buffalo wings b/c they are easier to "deal with"?

Good lord, kids must really change everything. :weary:

Flip the streak around to us. I mean does anyone really care if we win the SEC regular season really other than winning it means we won a lot of games and had a pretty good year? I mean a SEC regular season championship is pretty much meh to most UK fans right? And the SEC tourney title is not much better. I mean Kansas fans pumping their chests about this streak just further proves they are a weird bunch for a "blue blood". It isn't surprising coming from a bunch that hang Helms titles in the Phog.

The only reason I want to win regular season titles at this point is to prevent someone else from being happy about doing it. It's pure arrogant spite.

Where will Lee transfer for his final year? I'm calling USC or Zona St, bc he's getting P-Steve 2010 minutes on next year's squad.

It's very similar to your posting format. Lots of nonsensical spacing and dribble to get down to the good meat. Like I said the breading to meat ratio was ridiculous. I like breading but I want to be able to get meat with it. Try it, you'll see. The flavor of the breading was really good, even the spicier one. Just too much of it. The finger was moist and breaded correctly. Fries, mac n cheese and beans were really good. I enjoyed it. I prefer bone in but I'll just get fingers next time b/c its easier.

I don't get your chicken finger hate.

Nah, have heard mixed-to-bad reviews about Joella's. Hattie B's isn't that way at all, it's unreal.

I'll be sticking with Royals when I go.

-Chicken fingers are a millennial thing, TS. None of your dads eat Chicken Fingers, I guarantee it. They eat real chicken, down & dirty. You gonna whip up some Tenders on the egg when the weather turns?

Hard to explain, I have a lot to live up to as a HOF Legacy. I've tried to not be so passionate about what others eat in 2016, but my poultry pedigree just won't allow it in this instance. Keeps my conscience clear.

Chicken fingers are for kids, women, and tailgates/parties where finger foods are served. Not for ordering at a sit down restaurant.:100points: It's not debatable.

The Self Big XII streak: In his non-championship game years (08 & 12....in which they went 11-1), they are 14-9 in those other 9 seasons including 5 times with 1 or no tourney wins. But those Big XII titles, man.

I prefer boneless because they are easier to deal with.
(Same theory applies Re: penne over spaghetti.)

You are in good company, Anth.

What was that training club, Chase?

No Medicus? You must not care about her golfing future, imo.

Ha, she wanted to use my driver instead of her own club. I got her swinging her club a few minutes after that picture. Medicus might not be such a bad idea, BTW.

How much is a Larry Bird rookie? LOL

-? That club looked like it was 10 feet long, I thought it was a trainer of some sort.

We left Miami disappointed, but I still feel honored to have coached this team. I consider it a true privilege to teach each and every day. Thanks young men for fighting through adversity and carrying yourself with dignity and grace. Thank you for not letting injuries become a crutch or excuse. Thank you for lifting the spirits of a town decimated by “acts of betrayal.” Thank you seniors — you have restored my faith in a generation tied up with “me first.” My only regret is I could not coach you for more than one year. Finally, thank you fans for all the love you have given this team. It was a much needed emotion.

I'd love to hear his explanation of what he meant by "acts of betrayal". Does he mean the prostitute betrayed the confidence of their coaches/players/recruits? Or does he mean players/recruits telling the truth about what happened?

Trey & Damion. Senior Night. It seems like yesterday they were just snot-nosed freshmen coming in, learning a new system. HOFCRP coached them up though, and molded them into Louisville Men. It was great getting to know them over four years, unlike the NBA Development League down the road. Going to miss all that Trey & Damion did for us, and how they lifted our spirits after they were unjustly punished. Katina Powell and Matt Jones if you are reading this, I hope you give each other AIDS and you die in a fire. Louisville First, Cards Forever. #L'sUP #WeGotYourBack #L1C4 #WeWonItLast #OtherStupidHashtags

Now on to basketball. Down one with 1:32 to play at Miami, we missed two shots that could have put us in a situation to win. Ray Spaulding, who is playing injured (we appreciate that so much), was unable to grab an offensive rebound. Some said Ray was weak coming out of high school, but he has been extremely courageous.

[laughing]

Translation: "WE WOULD HAVE WON BUT RAY SPAULDING IS WEAK AND A BIG *****."
