So Willis won't play tomorrow.

I'm starting to wonder about that kid's toughness. First, he openly admits he had "fallen out of love" with basketball, then he whines his body is "deteriorating," now this.

I know ankle sprains are different, but Jeff Sheppard played 15 minutes in our 1998 first round game, 6 days after suffering a similar injury. Then he played 25 minutes two days later. Tomorrow will be 10 days since Willis got hurt, and he's not even going to give it a go?

Starting to think all Bullitt Countians are just huge vaginas.

Anyone who has ever played bball knows that sprained ankles are delicate situations. All are different with varying healing time. I'm with Chase. Let it heal. I'm fine with sitting him out SEC tourney if needed. This is the one year where seeding really doesn't matter much. Let's make sure he's ready for the tourney.

What a bizarre season. No really good teams. Labissiere the first big miss of the Calipari era. Injuries all over the place. Ludicrous officiating. I disagree with Jay Bilas every time he opens his mouth. Willis emerging as the team's X Factor. Beat Duke and Louisville. OT losses in our two "toughest" games if you looked the schedule early in the year. Guard play is arguably our best of all-time, and frontcourt play has been some of the worst in recent history. Briscoe the enigman who is smart and great at attacking the rim, yet an under-40% FT shooter. Variation on seed of about four lines at this point- we could be a 2-seed or a 6-seed and neither would be shocking. Weird all the way around.

Glanced over at the Louisville board yesterday and they seem to think next year's team will be Pitino's best ever there. Just incredibly bullish on that team. I'm sure they'll be good, maybe even Top 10, but they're losing easily their best player and arguably their two best players. Also, at least 5 and probably more teams will be absolutely LOADED- UK, Duke, Michigan State, Arizona, Kansas, UCLA...

The fact that we lost this weekend and still moved from a 4 seed to a 3 seed per Lunardi is basically a perfect synopsis of this season in college basketball.

“He went on the practice floor and ran up and down yesterday,” Calipari said. “I didn’t see any black and blue or swelling, so I’d say he’s getting closer. I doubt if he plays tomorrow, but he’s going up and down

-So, sounds like he's pretty close but they are being cautious for obvious reasons given his importance to us making any kind of decent run.

...or, he's just a big *****. [eyeroll]

Wife just texted me to let me know Flu season has hit...and told me "so don't share water with the guys tonight, okay?" [laughing]

So, sorry to let everyone know I won't be passing my water bottle throughout the team. You'll have to use one of the 6 water fountains attached to the gym instead.

I assume Rob will be disappointed, he always positions himself behind SAE in the post game water relay.

If Cal thought Willis was being a puss, he would be telling that "Poythress came back a day early because he wanted to help the team" story over and over and over.

College basketball writers sure do take great offense to the fact that no gives a **** about the Kansas Big 12 streak.
The disconnect between writers and fans re that streak is interesting and I'm not sure what it means. I mean, no one outside of Kansas or the press box gives two ***** about that run.

Considering all the NCAA flameouts for Kansas during that run, it's hard to give it much respect. Plus, no one else in the Big 12 has done much either.

I barely care about the SEC, really, so why would I care about the Big 12?

Bill Self has the best relationship with the college basketball media of any major coach in the country and second place isn't even close. There's a scandal out there every 12-18 months of some sort and it is always shrugged off. They underachieve in March about two-thirds of the time and Self never gets questioned about it. The guy should really think about running for office.

Oh, and Bill Self is known to be great with the media- he is supposedly a really great guy. I think that's another reason the writers all care more about it than fans.

I mean, it IS an impressive run. The Big 12 is 5000x better than the SEC, and we haven't done it in this era.

Just wish they'd shut up about it, especially considering his/their performance in the tournament that actually matters.

FWIW, the people around Willis think he goes Saturday vs LSU. We shall see.

Been dealing with Donald Trump's people all weekend on the phone...lets just say that whole thing is amazing. If we can get him on this week (which is up in the air), I might just retire after.

I was reading the stuff on here about the new college guys posting in GYERO...I had high hopes for these youngsters as (a) I like the Willis Twitter feed and (b) I desperately need young, funny writers for KSR and the future. But I agree they have to step the stories up...I am old and pretty lame and my limited interactions with that age group produce better stories than they bring. I know you guys have it in you.

Good vibes around the football program...they have turned the page so they don't really want to revisit, but apparently it was a complete disaster over there from about the Auburn game to the end of the season...much worse than even we thought

-His ankle was the size of a grapefruit 9 days ago. I'll cut him a little slack. Really wouldn't care if he doesn't play until SECT. Why rush it?

-Joella's is pretty decent. Not something that can be in the main rotation b/c it's gotta be crazy unhealthy.

-Don't know what it was but the random visit to a friends school or another chapter of your frat always bumped my confidence to another level. Nearly undefeated and completely non-digital.

-Skirt steak taco's. Perfected those bad boys at this point. Sunday night dinners back on after a 9 month hiatus.

-Little dude is moving at hyper speed, my guess is he's walking w/in 6 weeks. Eek. Tailgates this year should be interesting.

-Weather for SECT, still a little far out, but could be ridiculous. 70's next week early is looking likely already.

-Watched "Love" this weekend. Aptow redeeming himself a bit after some real garbage recently. Highly recommend. Quirky romantic comedy, good acting.

-Finally back to the grind, two days in a row working out after 2 workouts in 3 weeks. Sucks. Had a nice base built up. Was sucking wind on a 3 mile run today. Bleh.

Look at Kansas's NCAA results during this magical 12-year-run:

'15- lost handily to 7-seed Wichita State
'14- lost to 10-seed Stanford in the R32
'13- lost to 4-seed Michigan in the S16
'12- Championship Game
'11- get a gift bracket and still choke against VCU in the E8
'10- the choke of all chokes, 2nd round against Northern Iowa
'09- Sweet 16
'08- CHAMPS
'07- E8
'05&'06- first round gags to Bradley and Bucknell
'04- E8

So, in 11 years coming into this one, they have played to seed four times.

Nobody cares about the big 12 streak because its stupid. Do you know how many times the patriots have won the AFC East the last ten years? Who gives a ****, that's how many. People only care about the playoffs/tournament. Especially in college bball.

If I wasn't beaten down, devoid of hope and creativity, merely counting down the days I have left, I'd be interested in trying to write a book about this whole presidential campaign. A lot of more talented people than I are going to do it and there will be some pretty good reads.

I'm about to drop another gay post if **** doesn't change around here pretty quick. Who are some of these idiots?
And hate to bust some bubbles, but these two college **** aren't real. I'm guessing PTI is behind it

The best thing about my gay post, is how predictable some of these terrible new posters are, them plus Anth and Geese. Like a moth to a flame, fly's to a pile of ****.
OMG RoB is A *****, HE LIKEs ding dongs in his but AND MOUTH.[sick]

Gyero needs a cleansing, bad.:weary:

Oh, and keep that gambling secret about trends in gyero, ID hate for the oddsmakers in Vegas to get hold of that kind of info.

-I liked the Ella's Fave sauce was good. Anth had the Tweener and said it was pretty hot, and Ella's had more flavor.

-Tacos are one of my fave meals. Just finished leftovers for lunch. Sunday dinners have only been off for 7.5 months. We had one the weekend before I went into labor. Maybe have even had the same meal.
