Is LV in your office right now? Two :100points::100points: for yes. I can call the station for him and say I'm Jacob Tamme if necessary.
He is not. I'm not sure if he will be at the station or not, but I'll tell him you guys said hello. I was excited that we got him in the mix. Do you want to sponsor his page, Coolcat?

Had the strangest damn Lyft ride home this weekend. Driver was an Egyptian guy. Asked if I mind if he plays music, told him go for it.

Dude pulls out an ipad, mounts it on his dash, and starts playing videos of bellydancers (no gyero.) On its own, maybe not that weird, but when we're stopped at a light, he quickly snaps it shut because there is a cop next to us. Evidently he'd been sighted before for public indecency playing this stuff in his car....but then puts it back up after the cop turns. His commentary during the videos got the lass quite creeped out.

Larry says "baseketball" and it cracks me up.

Was he getting sensual with the iPad videos? Sounds weird and uncomfortable.

I often wonder how many other business are run out of Ubers/Lyfts. I assume a lot.

It was until all the cabbies starting signing up.

Still a great service overall, but 20% of the time I get someone who *clearly* just left yellow cab, which is unfortunate.

I suppose with the app you *do* have the option to be racist and pre-screen your driver though, if you are so inclined.

Egyptian Ed actually picked us up a block away from Dudley's, cause he had never heard of it.

Was also quite suspect he had about 6 air fresheners hanging from the rearview. He kept rolling the window down sporadically, guess we were getting dusted quite a bit too.

Maybe I should report him.

* It is just awkward watching Skal. Dude tries hard but is so horribly out of place at ALL times. Whoever that jackass handler was that created the fake school for him should be beaten mercilessly as he has played about as much organized basketball as I have. He should have spent last year at Oak Hill or maybe the local Y trying to actually have a damn clue what goes on in an actual game. I'm not sure it could have hurt his draft stock any worse than the **** show he has put on this season.
If he would stop gang banging and being such a thug to focus on basketball a little this wouldn't be the case.

So you don't think there is any problem with a computer handling everything? Because they never have issues.

You post this like you are actually worried a computer might be able to do your job better than you. Which tells me all I need to know. Don't worry, docs are a protected class. Government will never allow it. At least not until the computers take over the government. Then you've screwed. If they can get self-driving cars to actually work, they can probably create some pretty good robodocs.

Your 5-10% statement makes sense though. So I'd say we ONLY get rid of 90-95% of the docs, and let a tech or nurse with an iPad do all the basic ****, and then the remaining docs can still do the hard/crazy stuff. I think that's a fair compromise.

I said the first time you brought up your little idea I'm not worried about it. Nice try to spin it, but you're no Adrian.

The problem with the 5-10% statement is you never know when it's gonna be.

Never had a bad lyft experience. Just rate the guy low and he'll never show up on your search again.

Pretty crazy that in a few years, doc boat will make $500k a year with roughly 50 vacation days just to print out results and read them to someone. Maybe email them.

They're trying to automate anesthesia now, and are actively using it for "easy" cases in other countries.

Let em keep trying, more likely to replace all the CRNAs (anesthesia nurses) anyway.

As HC costs spiral out of control, I'm sure the lower paid employees will be the ones they ax when the cuts are made. Welp, Google can read all the X-rays. And Medicare just cut payouts again. Should we cut the $25 an hour tech who hasn't taken a sick day in 2 years or the mid-6 figure guy who has been in New Orleans, Vegas, and Florida for 15 of the 30 working days this year?

The gal's little brother just bet me $250 UNC wins a title before we do. Pretty sure I'm golden if they don't win it this year.
