Tried to get Pearl Jam tickets as soon as they went on sale today... they were playing a couple shows at Wrigley and I thought that would be pretty cool... Nothing. Virtual waiting room, refresh, refresh, SOLD OUT.

Got a text from my sister- without us ever discussing it, she got me a ticket for their show at Fenway. Pretty pumped. Havent been up to see her in over a year, so this works out pretty well.

I like U2 but never enough to be on a U2 kick, Police will always be great, as an older, white collar, family man I totally get "Synchronicity II" now Will sometimes get on a Cars kick and occasionally ELO.

Sting would be another person who's a hero. The music he's created over the years, I don't really listen to it, but the fact that he's making it, I respect that.

Final month of college basketball and right now LSU is not in the tourney. I assume Vandy is also outside.

Logo'd all of the V-Day stuff with subtle hints so she knows we'll do it and I'll regurgitate dinner for her. #truelove

So Auburn is 1-6 since they beat us. Really hope that loss does not haunt us. (it will)

It probably will, but if we roll through the rest of the schedule like we did against UF and UGA, that loss may end up being forgotten. Starts with having a comfortable win tomorrow!

Giving my son the card to pay for him mommy and brother a nice lunch and a trip to Homemade Pie and Ice Cream. He was pumped to "buy" and she gave me credit for a very thoughtful idea! Home alone on Vday sleeping or watching sports, very thoughtful!

Surgery was a success. Pain medicine already made me sick so this will suck for at least a few days, most likely longer.

UK at noon? Really enjoy that with a good slate of games tomorrow. Should be a good game and really hope for one of our best performances in a key game.

Jesus.

Just when I thought the music takes couldn't get any worse, UKO drops that pile.

-Buy one Valentines Day card with lots of sappy writing. Buy another card with just some stupid love picture but is blank on the inside. Plagiarize and profit.

-brought Valentines cookies from Nordstrom bakery to my wife's classroom. She gets a kick out of the girls swooning.

Got some nice tickets for Smashing Pumpkins in Austin. Pretty stoked really.

If you are around for their show in Louisville, I'm down. BTW, pretty sure this is an all acoustic mini tour they are on, not that there's anything wrong with that.

Gal's bday is also vday. She hates that so we do nothing on vday and celebrate by doing different things around it. This year it's skydiving tomorrow. My first time, her second but she's never done it here (we're in the Keys bbdk) and it's supposed to be amazing even though it'll be a little chilly tomorrow.

Worship couples massages. We do them a few times a year when we're both off. Eat a nice little lunch out, go to Prana and get an hour rubdown, go home a little oiled up still and have the sex. It's awesome. Doesn't get much better to be honest.

I saw that, can't make the Louisville one. It says acoustic-electro...but whatever.

I really like Sean Miller, but boy is he intense. o_O

He's got a little Billy G nutso in him :100points:, and I've heard that from a few people who knew him (or people around him) at Xavier.

Of course, that's just hearsay, but he acts/looks like a lunatic on the sidelines sometimes. Then again, so does Cal, I guess. :eyes: -- but he's just screaming and acting silly to hear himself (and have others hear him) do it imo, Sean really looks possessed at times, imo.

Took the Mrs. out for Valentine's Day for sushi and pork belly in OTR then crafties and old school video games.

Turns out my midlife crisis is going full on hipster. Who knew?

Just read an article about a girl I used to date who died running a marathon. Pretty jarring. Massive heart attack at the finish line. 2 young kids at home. Damn.

I'm sure he's intense (most coaches are), but not in a way that anyone at X would characterize as "Gillispie-esque." They still adore him (which is certainly not true of all of their former coaches who are still coaching).

I'm not sure if I shared this last year but after the tournament game with Arizona, while we were still in the 10 minute cooling-off window, he left his team to come to our locker room while we were waiting outside for it to "open" and basically apologized to everyone in our traveling party... most of whom he knew, but he certainly didn't know me from any random on the street. And he legitimately seemed upset.

He's okay in my book.

Lass took me out for dinner, crushed a fine prime 12oz sirloin.

Zoolander 2, about what I expected. Couple funny parts, mostly turrible. Good grief Penelope Cruz doh.

This Anthony Bourdain episode has got me wanting to go to Charleston. Mercy

Pretty stupid to try and deny U2. So many hits.

Raftards posting that Mags is saying that Poythress is dunzo, for the year. Anyone that can confirm or deny because Cal didn't mention it nor was he asked about it in his latest press conference?

Heading to Disney this morning for the week. The kids are pretty pumped about it, specifically my 5 year old girl. She's been bonkers all week.

I'm really looking forward to the trip just to see her reactions. Plus, I'm determined to enjoy it because I paid out the *** for the entire thing.
