Jones is not good. SImmons playing for him is no benefit to Simmons.

Watching Simmons get misused this year is going to be painful.

I've watched a couple of LSU games already, and I couldn't coach my arse out of a paper bag, but I can already see about a half-dozen things I'd be doing differently with Simmons/Blakeney.

People accuse Cal of just rolling the ball out, which is utter bs. With Simmons this year, I suspect we are all going too see what "rolling the ball out" really looks like.

Hornsby would make some difference, he can shoot it a bit. Victor has to prove it still. Jones...yup he is incompetent. Bring back John Brady

Better go talk to Arkansas State about getting Brady back [winking]

Interesting to think about how loaded LSU would have been had Mickey and Martin decided to come back. Of course with Johnny Jones, he still wouldn't be able to get LSU to play up to its talent level had they stuck around.

Oh no, they made sure they scheduled UK to play the toughest SEC teams on the road. LSU, Vandy and A&M, we play all 3 on the road along with the normal teams we always play home and home such as Florida.
All I ask is that those teams, for once, please play everyone else with close to the same passion as they play with when UK is the opponent. It's sickening to watch these teams play out of their minds against UK then play like they don't care and almost lose to Auburn.
I agree with your points. But, those teams are not UK. Are you disappointed they bring they best effort of the year against Ky? It only helps our young team mature. Would you rather someone else be the big cat?

hey, my son has red hair and freckles.

he'll change his name - probably be a Vandy fan next

Lol - I've got a red-headed boy too. No one in the family knows where it came from! I've got dark brown hair. I think he's a handsome devil, but he hates his red-hair, we're always struggling with his self-esteem.

Should have been fired after the 2012-2013 when a team full of 5 stars didn't even make the tourney and got bounced out of the NIT

Good ol coach Cal couldn't even make the tourney with this roster

Darius Miller 1 G 6'8" 235 Senior Maysville, Kentucky Graduated/Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Terrence Jones 3 F 6'9" 252 Sophomore Portland, Oregon Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist 14 F 6'7" 232 Freshman Somerdale, New Jersey Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Doron Lamb 20 G 6'4" 210 Sophomore Queens, New York Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Anthony Davis 23 C 6'10" 220 Freshman Chicago, Illinois Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Marquis Teague 25 G 6'2" 189 Freshman Indianapolis, Indiana Entered 2012 NBA Draft
Eloy Vargas
Hilarious. Yeah, he did make the tourney with that roster. You might want to check how that team's year ended. I believe the phrase, "the Kentucky coronation is complete."

AND WHERE ARE ALL OF THOSE FLORIDA FANS?

stingray
Ncaaucoach
mjWilliamson

3 of the biggest POS posters that have ever graced this site. Didn't you know? Stingray is a fan of both, when UK sucks.
Ncaaucoach is a carolina fan, not been around for nearly two years.

It won't matter. When the Cats roll into town, LSU will look like the Warriors when they play against them. It never fails. And when Victor and Hornsby get back to full strength, they will be a load.

LSU has the talent and they are a different team at home at least the game I saw last week when I started this thread. Even though they were playing against a weak team you could still see their quickness and athleticism. They were gettin out in transition nicely. They'll be hard to handle at home.

I'm disappointed because they need to bring that effort, or close to that effort, against every team they play. The SEC is a disappointment because of this.

Lol - no, what I've been told is that my great-grand-dad was a red head. I just vaguely remember him as an old bald-headed man, so I'll take their word for it. My dad's side of the family was Scottish-Irish. The red always rises to the top like cream - at least that's what I tell my kid. [winking]

Actually if Jones would just roll the ball out LSU and Simmons would have a better chance.

Johnny Jones and the LSU staff are like the UK football staff. They can recruit but can't do anything with them when they get on campus.

LSU's schedule is so bad that we won't know until SEC play if they're worth a damn.

Dont worry, they could lose every game between then and now, but they will bring their "A" Game against us. That (the game @ LSU) is going to be a very difficult win to pick up.

About as good as Cal

Yeah , ok
You're the typical 'rival' fan that will hang around here. Then if we beat your butt next week, you won't be heard from the rest of the season and maybe never again.

And what was the 'yeah, ok' about? Are you denying that LSU fans in general could give a flip about their basketball team and don't show up even when tickets are dirt cheap? I can buy tickets to the Wake Forest game right now on the LSU website for $7. And there are thousands of them still left.
