Ukraine’s Suicidal Offensive is Bleeding Out While the CIA Loses Its Mind​


You can tell that the Ukrainian attacks have been a bust by the very subdued reporting of the activity in the Western press. John Helmer of Dances With Bears provides a grim summary of the effort:

On May 12, in the first day of their scheme, 1,725 Ukrainian men were killed on the Donbass front. This is the worst day’s military casualty rate since the US coup in Kiev launched the war in February 2014.
According to the Financial Times, this killing didn’t happen. Instead, the headline reads: “Ukrainian counter-offensive takes shape with the first gains around Bakhmut.” The Washington Post announced likewise: “How Ukrainian forces denied Russia victory in Bakhmut by Victory Day”. The New York Times repeated: “Ukraine’s Advances Near Bakhmut Expose Rifts in Russian Forces”. According to this propaganda, these successes were bloodless on the Ukrainian side.
A NATO forces veteran observes: “An entire regiment has been destroyed. This is cynical trading in flesh.

3 day special military operation is in its 15th month and Russia is, according to neutral estimates, hovering somewhere around 5 times the casualties that they suffered in the 10 year Afghan war that ultimately led to the collapse of the Soviet Union. You’ll have to forgive the Putinistas for grasping at anything they can find.

You guys only want to hear the homegrown propaganda. I hope you know it's an undisputed fact that the US was running many bio labs in Ukraine and they were not baking cookies.

And no, it isn’t an undisputed fact. It’s slander cobbled together by an unholy alliance of Russian propagandists, CCP propagandists, and the GQP

Sure there are higher casualties because its a different kind of war. A true conventional war like whats going on in Ukraine you should have higher rates compared to a guerilla war. Just goes to show how bad the US Gov ran Vietnam with no plan to win and just throwing away lives and money. If you go in you better plan to win and pursue it until the end...

You're telling me they'd prefer the pro-Russian President who tried to bribe their leader into starting a fake investigation against Biden or he'd withhold funds he'd already promised them over pro-Ukraine Biden who will do anything it takes to help them save their country?

You need to find a different news source. Ukraine has not done any major offensives.

Both sides are posturing their troops right now.

No one is sending F-16 to Ukraine. All the study did was determine the amount of training experienced Ukraine pilots may need to learn to fly the F-16.

It did not look into maintenance or supply chain to maintain the asset.

Bakhmut had ZERO strategic value. It only had symbolic value that Ukraine would fight for every inch of its land.

Perhaps had strategic value at some point, but it took the Russians forever to take it. In the meanwhile the Ukrainians prepared defenses along the high ground to the west, so there’s minimal threat to Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. As you said just become a symbolic bloodbath.

Meh....Never had strategic value. That was Z's point: if they are willing to fight so hard over something insignificant, imagine what they'd do for something important. He was encouraged to withdrawn UF long ago. Russia lost very little as well. it was Wagner that suffered.

Fighting may shift to the north and south along the line.

I'm not sure we will see a major Ukraine offensive this summer. They are having some issues. That US equipment isn't as easy to operate as they thought.

More Ukrainians have died under Biden's watch. Period, you can Trump this and Trump that until you turn blue in the face Mr Rachel Maddow. But that's the bottomline.
