Yea he’s wrong on the mortality rate, without a doubt. I don’t know that I’ve seen his claim of the flu killing more people, but then again haven’t read all of his coronavirus stuff, simply because I don’t read outkick everyday and he’s written SO MUCH about it. His take is a bit extreme, but I think that’s the partially the “shock jock” in him.
We're all Tigers....let's be civil. A lot of people are going to be on unemployment because of our current environment. Not cool to make of fun of them. It's the nature of the beast. Let's try to have rational discussions and present scientific articles.
I actually like Clay Travis. He was an inspiration of reason for me. For instance, the media was promoting rising cases. However, the media didn't present that more tests have been given, and that the % positive was going down...or up. The media didn't report hospitalization percentage and ICU percentage capacity. These are reasonable things to consider. Clay, brought these reasonable things to me. If you read his recent stuff, he admits that % positives are going up, but the positives Covid cases are younger. Deaths have been going down. He's just stating facts. If you look at the latest CDC numbers:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html
People under 50 have a 0.0005 of Symptomatic Case Fatality Ratio, stratified by age in years. If the flu has a 0.001 fatality ratio, then Covid-19 for people under 50 years old is half the ratio.
From Reason.com
It is plausible that the IFR for COVID-19, as well as the crude CFR, would
vary from one part of the country to another, depending on local conditions. Based on the CDC's "
best estimates" of the death rate among all Americans who develop COVID-19 symptoms (whether or not they are tested for the virus) and the percentage of infections that are asymptomatic, the
nationwide IFR is something like 0.26 percent. via

My thoughts and I'm no big dumb dumby. My previous essay:

First off, if they can have premier league soccer in UK, why can't sports start here? The UK has more fatalities per population than we do. We happen to be in an election year, and the media shames people for going to rallies and protesting their constitutional rights, but gives a pass for BLM protests. And then is silent about the riots and anarchy. The media is correct to give a pass to BLM protests. The media is wrong to shame protesters for speaking out about their livelihood and constitutional rights. It's like we are living in the Twilight zone. Everything is divisive. Nothing united us. I'm a libertarian...vote JoJo...a Clemson professor.

1. If we do not have some kind of football season in Clemson this year....a good majority of businesses will go under and the town will be the same for many many years.

2. If cancel education due to this virus, we will be F-ed for years. Just the toll on psychological damage on our youth will be damning.

3. Wear a mask in public places. If you want fans in the stands this is the way. Have more day games. UV light kills this sucker.

American media now is so divisive that it is a joke. Liberals have become Marxists. Marxists have become Anarchists. Republicans have be come Nationalists. Nationalists have become anarchists. New Zealand seems like a good option now. We are tearing our nations apart. Stop. And let's try to save this thing.
