Woodford double oaked, Angels envy, 4 Roses small batch are my 3 faves. Went on a distillery tour a few months ago in Kentucky to 6 different distilleries. Highly recommend for folks that aren't even bourbon lovers.

Here's my current stash...not a huge fan of the Michters but the rest are delish.

I see your Lexington in the back and that's some pretty good stuff too.

Also, I am not a fan of the Four Roses single barrel, but the small batch is one of my faves

This guy hit most on the head..

I like basil Hayden, woodford, gentleman Jack, etc...

Whistlepig rye and eh Taylor cured oak are the best I've had and usually have them neat
Jack isn't bourbon...its TN whiskey. Apples and oranges my friend.

All bourbon is whiskey. So more like Fujis and Granny Smiths...
All Tennessee whiskey is required to be straight bourbon whiskey by law. The sugar maple coal filtration is unique to most Tennessee whiskeys. When it's all said and done, naming conventions for whiskeys come down to 3 things: ingredients (mash bill), production process, and/or production location. One these factors could be different and you end up with two different names of whiskeys and the same product in the bottle.

12 year Pappy is the best. I've never tasted a smoother Bourbon.

After that Blanton's, Elmer t Lee, and Bulleit in that order.
Try the 23 yr old Pappy...I've got a friend in Louisville that runs in the same social circles with Julian and I've been fortunate to have both the 12 & 23!

I don't think Jack tastes like bourbon and anything that is mixed with coke more than on the rocks or neat doesn't belong in the conversation with the great bourbons!

Never said that and I totally agree. I do like a Jack and Diet on the reg in the winter tho.

To each is own, however I haven't mixed brown liquor with a soft drink in 30 years and I can't figure out why I ever did! Once you get use to water or ice with Bourbon or Whisky you will not look back...something pure about this version as the people who invented Bourbon and Whisky didn't have soft drinks to contaminate their brew!

12 year Van Winkle is the same recipe as Weller 12. Pappy starts at 15 year.

I like my bourbon on the rocks or with water as well, but a bourbon legend mixed his with a soft drink. Elmer T Lee, the master distiller, who created Blanton's and his namesake Elmer T. Lee, always mixed his bourbon with Sprite or 7-up.

I've never had the 23, but I've had the 20 and it wasn't as good as the 12. Everyone who I've talked to says the 12 and 15 are better than the 20 and 23. I've had them all except the 23.

I think Weller 12 is best of the bunch. I don't think Pappy is all that great just the rarity and legend is good. It does have a good snob factor and is a good special occasion drink ala Dom

Just got on the four roses train.

Always love Blantons.

Buffalo trace is a nice enexpensive bourbon.

However I work outside so when it's 100 degrees I get home it's vodka time. Titos is the only vodka I drink.

You are starting to be correct more and more often
