I'm continually amazed at posters who share articles but are either too lazy or intellectually incapable of pre-researching an author's bio before posting. It doesn't surprise me that @Midnighter fits the above criteria.

Myerberg goes out of his way to hide his unimpressive academic pedigree. I finally found that he attended Towson..

Paul Myerberg is "some guy that really shouldn’t be writing articles about football. He should probably be doing something else." — Brian Kelly
Actually I thought it was a fair and balanced article. Where is Brian Kelly coaching now?

This is another PSU hit piece. It’s been very interesting that over the last year the media narrative separates Franklin and Campbell from the performance of the team and uses the opportunity to bash PSU. We are a juicy target. Franklin and Campbell are the architects of the team in their respective years, but they escape scrutiny and it’s all about PSU and lack of talent, etc. Franklin’s media narrative improved after his termination, and Campbell’s media narrative has always been positive, and for good reason. He’s a highly respected coach for a good reason, but he’s having a very difficult transition to this level of competition. He has to start winning games, and it does not help that Koby and possibly Chase are both out tomorrow. I don’t know how we generate any offense without either of those players.
See my other post. Absolutely fair column and he doesn’t bury Campbell but merely correctly points out that this isn’t the Big 12 and Campbell needs to turn things around especially given the usual expectations in Happy Valley raised exponentially by Pat “Fanboy” Kraft.

Yep!! We actually know what a National Championship, and what it takes to win a National Championship, feels like!!!!!

And it is freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
Yeah my wife and I had an absolute blast for 6 days in New Orleans for the National Championship at the Sugar Bowl in 1982. Probably the best part was after being outnumbered by Georgia fans by about a 3-1 ratio and hearing How ‘Bout Them Dawgs” and Herschel Herschel Walker sung to Glory Hallalulia all week we thoroughly enjoyed parading down Bourbon Street chanting What Do Lions Eat? Dawg Meat. Although I obviously enjoyed both Natties, this 65 year fan never thought that the fans “Deserved” them.

Nothing said by Kraft — including the quote we see on a daily basis courtesy of another poster — has had any effect on fan expectations.

You are just another entitled fanboy with unrealistic expectations. You helped earn that big ole sandwich, hope you enjoy your bite.

Rather than broadcast your own laziness or lack of intellectual capability by using an ad hominem logical fallacy to dismiss the article, and another ad hominem logical fallacy to attack a poster, perhaps you could speak to the content of the article itself ... you know, like a functional human being.

Oh, I forgot to add....."and the national championship our fans deserve," The first step was being able to finally beat Purdue.
"Finally beat Purdue"? I would call beating them 12 times in a row and 18 out of the last 20 more than " finally beating " them but don't let facts get in the way of your pompous posts.

You should be a bit better at detecting sarcasm. PSU last lost to Purdue about 2004.

As far as I'm concerned, D1 College football is at a Crossroads too. It's becoming unwatchable like the NFL. Id rather watch a D2 or D3 game where guys want to play because they love the game.
It’s unwatchable because the officiating is terrible.
