A few incompetent administrative leaders have destroyed this program over the past 13 years. It reminds me of what happened to Nebraska’s program after the legendary Tom Osborne retired.

The fix is way beyond Campbell’s area of expertise. He inherited this mess.

Let’s see how long Penn State continues to charge Mercedes level prices for the used Chevy product we see on the field.

James Franklin was a solid coach. We were in the final four two years ago.

This is all on PK and CMC.

I heard on XM college football about an hour ago, $6 to get into Purdue game costing less than a Sheetz nugget meal, fwi and siap…

Need I remind you Campbell was not employed by Penn State when Big Game James Penn State team self-destructed in 2025 by losing to a winless and dead last P4 team in UCLA.

Also, let‘s not forget Franklin going 0-3 against power teams (Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame) with a pulse in 2024.

Lastly, don’t get me started on BGJ abysmal 4-21 record against top 10 competition. It is the reason he was abruptly and rightfully fired.

I thought firing him was understandable. Firing him without a plan was idiotic.

I support every PSU football coach while they are running the show. I’m sorry people cant balance their feelings about 2011 while also helping our current program.
CMC is our coach now. Big Game James isn't coming back.

I'm continually amazed at posters who share articles but are either too lazy or intellectually incapable of pre-researching an author's bio before posting. It doesn't surprise me that @Midnighter fits the above criteria.

Myerberg goes out of his way to hide his unimpressive academic pedigree. I finally found that he attended Towson..

I certainly hope CMC pushes us forward.

But where PSU football is today is all on Pat Kraft and CMC. The poster in reference acts like PSU football was unsuccessful the last 13 years.

Numbers say otherwise.
Replace CMC with BGJ and I'm on board. Oregon, UCLA and Northwestern were actual games last year. That cluster f was all James Franklin and this year is just his fallout.

This is another PSU hit piece. It’s been very interesting that over the last year the media narrative separates Franklin and Campbell from the performance of the team and uses the opportunity to bash PSU. We are a juicy target. Franklin and Campbell are the architects of the team in their respective years, but they escape scrutiny and it’s all about PSU and lack of talent, etc. Franklin’s media narrative improved after his termination, and Campbell’s media narrative has always been positive, and for good reason. He’s a highly respected coach for a good reason, but he’s having a very difficult transition to this level of competition. He has to start winning games, and it does not help that Koby and possibly Chase are both out tomorrow. I don’t know how we generate any offense without either of those players.

“Let’s not forget that Franklin” and Virginia Tech has more Big Ten wins this year than Penn State.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You freakin brain dead idiots thermo-nuked your own Program for years to come. At least now the entire country can joke about a chicken nugget meal at Sheetz being more expensive than a Penn State football ticket. Congratulations!!! 😂😂😂

Fear not! The Big Ten schedule to the rescue. Purdue (so powerful the spread keeps spiraling), Rutgers and Mighty Maryland will provide the necessary medication for this team's ailments. Washington, a daunting opponent, with one conference win, will likely fall to the resurgent Cylions. A few 3 star (surely underrated) recruiting flips and the BWICAC will be prepared to claim one of the most successful coaching performances in PSU football history. No one will remember the cupcake schedule and the off season promises of empire.

Looking inept and being 0-4 in the big 10 makes it a little easier for hit pieces. Not much positive going on to write a puff piece

Its sort of amazing to see the national media all take turns sending out some little weasel to write the same article. We get it, stadium reno and team isnt performing. Its a problem, got it. We had 108K at the white out....how many places capable of that? I see empty seats all over at places even teams in the top 25. Our AD is incompetent, but so is the NCAA, these conferences, presidents, they've cooked the golden goose. There is a broader story for a good journalist to write about CFB, but im sure they'll just keep sending them to penn state.

As “dumb” as it may or may not be, it’s true. Now we’ll be breaking out the champagne for Rutgers, Maryland, and Purdue instead of “Ohio State, Oregon, and Notre Dame”

Remember. Please, Please, PLEASE don’t storm the field and rip out the goal posts tonight after we hopefully win in a blowout against this spunky and dangerous Purdue team. Lets all be grown ups tonight and save that for our huge, important, epic rivalry game with Rutgers. Thanks!!!

Seriously? This is a board where most posters reminisce about when JoePa knocked off the Miami Hurricanes in the Fiesta Bowl. Almost everybody gets it.

Yep!! We actually know what a National Championship, and what it takes to win a National Championship, feels like!!!!!

And it is freakin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

There are people writing about problems other programs have- I read one earlier today about Clemson. We aren't the center of the universe.

They ”send them to Penn State” because our “incompetence“ and stupidity stands out on a National basis like a sore thumb. Especially when you realize where we were just 21 months ago.

When we used to say "James Franklin is our coach now. JoePa isn't coming back," the board got their pitchforks out.

Maybe if CMC wore a pin honoring Big Game James, everything would be better.

I think UCLA winning the Natty would be funnier
That would be crazy. There schedule is a little soft since Moore went out at Oregon. But they still play at Minnesota, Michigan and usc still on the schedule. With sayin hurt they have a chance to make playoff.

Thankfully the Geritol demographic of the PSU fan base will continue to decline.
And the young guys will actually have to pony up the money that the geritol generation have paid in for 40-50 years to make up the difference. Start saving!! Oh and you still have to pay for diapers, formula, day care, college and weddings. Have fun!!!
