Stein has won 88% of his games as a head coach.

We have a higher standard in basketball than FB and saying otherwise is disingenuous at best. That's not a valid comparison.
What is disingenuous is Saul taken 2/3 of a season on how the football coaches doing, which is by the way, awesome, but it in itself is not an achievement yet. We know where Pope is even though Saul has to take a dick every 10 seconds did you notice he had disappeared during the exhibition game against Texas Tech, and right after it. I'm looking forward to both the football and the basketball season playing out and take it from there.

It’s amazing how many bball fans seem to hate the success Stein is having. Almost like it makes Pope look bad!
I a success that Stein is having especially compared to I hate that Marvin Heckler and some of his groupies are spewing toward basketball

It’s their money, they can give to whatever they want but to be a fan of two different schools is weak AF.
Hey..they can do whatever they want..but they better bear the scrutiny. Totally agree on the second part. Who is that Florida St football fan with the big donation banner that posts on the basketball threads

It’s hard to blame some donors for not wanting to waste their hard earned money on the product we put out there most years TBH. Under Stein I feel that is about to change…

Some of the biggest Pope fans on here are already trying to push Stein out with some of these stupid rumors about other colleges allegedly vying for Stein. Like a Kentucky-born guy whose dad played at UK and intended to walk on the team is going to up and leave his first year.

Any fan like that isn’t a real fan, that’s a bandwagon fan.
Yep. I'll pull for certain teams I like but am not a fan of. Like I'll absolutely pull for Bama over TN and LSU. Or Florida over TN and UGA.

But WKU and UK are MY teams.

Come on and get that bleach boy! Get that pope, hell of a coach.
What does any of that have to do with Pope? If we fire Pope after the season, changing the NIL numbers will never touch him, but it will kill your chances of bringing in a top flight replacement. I know you aren't the brightest bulb, but press your little brain

EIGHT Championships in ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR SEASONS.
See, I can go all caps too. If my math is right, we average a Championship every 15-16 seasons. We haven't won one since 2011-2012. Pope has been here two. So again, what's your point?
That's retarded, the NCAAT wasn't a thing until 1939. UK has pre NCAAT "national championships" as well. If you count those, we have like 14-15.

Move those goal posts skippy. Lets say 8 since 1939....not exactly "the standard"
Just 2nd behind only UCLA. Don't forget most wins, highest winning percentage, most all americans, 5 coaches with 8 titles, most NCAAT appearances in row, most elite 8s and sweet 16s, etc etc.
Tearing down the program to prop up a coach, lol sad man.

Who is doing that? We were talking about what the normal result was for a UK basketball team. The facts are, its a S16 season. Not a FF or Championship. Thats not tearing us down, that's honest and non delusional. Seriously cracks me up, S16 in BB and you act like its a trash season, football team wins 7 games and you want to defend basketball, give the coach $120M and double the size of the stadium. Delusional

Retarded response, per usual. Football was picked to win 2-3 games by fans and media alike. With a top 5 hardest SOS. UK football is historically bad, we are 7-1, beating everyone's expectations and first in the SEC. With two top 10 wins.

A sweet 16 for UK is an average season. Nothing to be celebrated and nothing to be mad about, either. You wanna hang banners for it though, because to you program=coach. Your brain just cant fathom that the coach is part of the program, not the program.
