'26 Senior World Championships (10/24-11/1) thread

[Corby2]

Trent needs to come join the NLWC. He lives 30 Minutes from State College. Be good for him and our Program.

He's staying at NC St with his brother they will takeover after Pop

[Foreverinbluejeans57]

And with Mexican Nick Lee in the corner

NLWC going to be catching strays from fans…. Again. I’m sure the rest of the wrestling fans in America will love seeing Nick Lee in RBY’s corner while taking on Spencer for gold

[Cheat code]

Spencer’s reaction after getting the pin while down 10-3 was interesting. He still had some panic on his face but it looked like he wanted to be grateful and smile but the Iowa in him just wouldn’t let him do it.

Usa vs Iran. A tale old as time

Or at least 1979

[Lil Nicky Scarfo]

Not too bad a day for kids from Pennsylvania

Lol. I really miss Zzs and Coastal when they're not posting pbp here. Their attention to giving us match details is pretty significant, and these event threads suck without them. Better off finding match details on X.

Let's win some bronze's and a gold this session

[Lil Nicky Scarfo]

@Corby2 - confidential to Corby:

Did you ever get the inside scoop on why RBY left the CWC so soon and returned to NLWC?

@vhsalum might very well know too - you guys both seem to have a good source in Cowboyville

[Sunshine88!]

What time are the Finals ?

Like seeing a Hokie on here. Blacksburg is a beautiful part of the country

[pawrstlersinpa]

Yes! Bronze for Blaze! 4-2.

Even if that’s the plan it wouldn’t hurt the NC St program for Trent to spend a year or two training under the masters.

He's a Gilman guy

[APrimusHokie]

Good job Blaze. Getting a world medal in your debut is pretty dang good

[pawrstlersinpa]

Blaze had the only offense in the match. TD and gut for 4. Other guy had passivity and an interlocking fingers point.

He's had offers but likes where he's at

Looked fine to me

[Corby2]

Blaze Bronze he looked good there

[pawrstlersinpa]

Let's go, Iran!

[Cheat code]

This is my first senior world championship with a Flo subscription. I have to tell ya, I’m really surprised by how tough these Amish guys are. Why aren’t the ones in Lancaster County like them?

[Lil Nicky Scarfo]

- ugh. I knew that - getting old.

But aren’t we all Gilman guys? Love that cantankerous SOB

Whatever he is doing seems to be working well for him.

[Sunshine88!]

Is RBY still training with the NLWC ? Pretty sure he’s still in State College. Brooks will be back soon I believe. He’s going to be phenomenal when he Returns. Sure he’s been working out hard.

[pish69]

Damn. The Iranian Blaze lost to on criteria just won gold. Blaze was one criteria point away from Gold.

He has very publicly been on the NLWC roster and Nick was in his corner.

Honestly, good for them. Good guys that are being loyal to their alma mater. It's working for them, too, so all good stuff.

[APrimusHokie]

That was quick

Good dude, working hard through tough and momentous times.

Hendrickson with a quick TD and 4 guts to win Bronze.

Wyatt had great mat awareness on the TD there. As soon as they hit the danger zone, he put the brakes on and finished in bounds so he could change direction on the gut and had the whole mat to work with. Nice work!

[OzarkLion]

How does someone make it all the way to a Bronze medal match with a gas tank bad enough to get cautioned out of the match??

[zzs006]

What a massive for Blaze. By winning a medal he now sits out to final X which is a huge advantage with how tough 61kg. Also, he was the best guy in this weight I think. So close to being a world champion

Not if you didn't love him when he was a Hawkeye. He doesn't allow it.

36 years old, and two repechage matches today.

Exactly, people need to learn some history.

This was posted for you yesterday too.

It's worse for it to happen in the gold medal match, and it looks like it could happen.
