well I know you won't agree, but the Obama bill from 10 years ago is still impacting all of us today. That's why simply discounting it as 10 years ago is off base.
Trump has used the phrase "in two weeks" or "the coming weeks" numerous times since 2016 about his supposedly "tremendous" ACA replacement that will be cheaper and provide people with much better care. We've been hearing about how it's coming any day for 10 years.

Trump in July 2020: “We're signing a health-care plan within two weeks, a full and complete health-care plan."

The "generational Golden Age" is just two weeks away, like the "tremendous" healthcare plan to replace the ACA is just two weeks away, lower prices are two weeks away, ending the Ukraine-Russia war will happen in 24 hours, the $5,000 DOGE checks are coming soon, the $2,000 tariff dividend checks are coming soon, another $5,000 check is coming if the GOP retains control of Congress, etc.

You guys will believe anything Trump tells you. All the greatness in the world is just around the corner.

Not just around the corner but in terms of a time frame just short months away as sane conservative common sense folks band together in a lawful attempt to build a better Nation Under God in spite of naysayers and problem children like you who prefer negatives over positives all day long and would rather everyone fail if it can’t be your idea or from the woke folk

I will absolutely discount it because Obama cannot fix it now and Republicans have been in power for six of the last ten years, so if it needed to be fixed, they've had plenty of time to develop a plan. And just because you don't like his plan, at least he solved a problem for tens of millions of Americans. Trump has not solved a single economic issue that he ran on and hasn't even tried, but has all the time in the world to pore over home decor plans - "it relaxes me" - and travel around the country postulating about muscled man as.s.

And now, to add insult to injury, that piece of shi.t is sending our tax dollars to people who had an Obamacare plan, even if they didn't want it, because they were treated very badly, i,e., he is bribing them for a vote...with our tax dollars.

Listen to this guy's story.

If it somehow applied to the question the young lady' asked JD about, it would matter more but it still absolutely would not matter because Donald Assman Trump has been in power for six of the last ten years. He promised to fix healthcare, inflation and energy costs and has only done the opposite. And that's why you have to screech about unrelated bulls.hit because you can't defend his record...and because you're dumb as a box of smegma....but I digress.

HE PROMISED!!!! lol...

You are mentally ill.

Inflation? 4 years under Biden, 21%. 2 years under Trump, 7%.

GDP is on fire. Business investment is up. Unemployment is low. Median wages are up. Poverty is down.

I know you hate it, but these are the facts. Get over it. Be normal and accept the will of the American people. Accept democracy.

What a cute fairytale. Why couldn’t the GOP be bothered to deliver this “generational Golden Era” any time in the past two years when they already had control of everything? Why is it “just short months away” and unable to be delivered before the election and show how glorious they are? What’s holding them back?

Do you believe we’re all getting $5,000 checks if the GOP holds Congress like Trump promised?

it's sometimes amazing to me how your mind works...and I'm not saying you're stupid a dpictroll or anything else....I thought you told me once that you only used names for posters who used names for you first...

the problems with the ACA and there are many, whether they were fixed or not...remember the bill was passed in 2010, so Obama had 6 years to fix the problems, Biden had 4 ...so this isn't a trump problem...And yes some people...not the amount promised, got access to healthcare..that's good. But for some reason you just can't seem to get your head around the fact that so many more have been negatively impacted. How have copays, deductibles and premiums gone up for everyone who had healthcare before ACA? How much has healthcare cost to the nation gone up since then?

So you can fall back on the fact that nobody has fixed it..and that's accurate...but for some reason...the blue bias, you simply can't come to an acceptance that the ACA has affected a heck of a lot more people than the 20 or so million it has helped. The ACA, the diamond of the Obama administration, has Democrats. some of whom voted for it, now demanding Medicare for all....so fitting..

Oh. and how many hospitals have closed since the passage of the ACA....I know trump's fault has nothing to do with ACA

personally, I can't wait...first of all I like divided government....secondly, it's going to be fascinating to hear all the excuses why the Democrat controlled Congress hasn't decreased inflation, reduced housing prices, brought down the price of groceries and fuel (the fuel one is going to be really good since democrats have been trying to reduce fossile fuel discovery and supply for years)....

Now before anyone tells me that's not the Democrat platform, I watch all the ads..and all the Democrat challengers/incumbents say they'll fight for me, reduce price of groceries, end the Iran war, and bring down the cost of gas and diesel..a couple even say they'll reduce taxes...

I'll go out on a limb and predict that at least @dpic73 will tell us that democrats couldn't accomplish what they promised because of Trump.....in spite of the fact that's what they're running on... going to be interesting times...who knows, maybe Kinzinger will run for office again..

sadly, no. My high income precluded me from receiving Trump‘s first or second round of stimulus checks when he was present the first time. I assume that the Republicans win the midterms that I will be receiving a check for $5000 though. As promised.

The man responsible for the bill that finally enabled tens of millions of Americans to attain healthcare coverage that they previously didn't qualify for left office ten years ago. If you're not happy with his plan, your guy is free to fix it and/or give us a better one. Has he? Has he done anything to address the young lady's concerns in the video or has he salivated over muscle asses instead?

Nevermind the fact that the Republicans kneecapped that I'll from the start.......no single payer option, no negotiating prescription prices, etc., etc.

You do realize that the ACA was practically crippled when Trump eliminated funding and the required mandates?

absolutely, but it was also crippled then they did away with the Cadillac tax and the medical devices tax..the original promise was not one dime from the budget. That promise was broken by Obama well before trump...

But realistically the ACA was broken from the start...were going to add 41 million to the rolls, increase the mandatory coverage (pregnancy coverage for men) maintain the same base of doctors/hospitals and expect costs to come down....increasing demand with no increase in supply...and increasing the items in the demand..how aften has that worked economically.

There was an effort to repeal and replace, I don't think any Democrat voted for it...

IMO, the answer is not to just throw more money at the problem, and the answer is not to throw people off Medicaid...there is a middle ground. But as long as democrats refer to Republicans as facists/racists, as republicans refer to Democrats with similar slurs, it's pretty difficult to get the two parties to the table to negotiate and fix what's broken.

The goal to fix healthcare so that all Americans are covered, sounds great, but some simply don't feel the necessity, others have different financial priorities, and some just don't care. But that doesn't mean we don't have to try to come to some middle ground...

By the way, lots of talk on here about authoritarianism...dictating that everyone has medical coverage sure seems to fall in that direction...

The effort to repeal and replace failed because there was literally no plan to replace it. Trump still hasn't presented a Health Care plan, It's still 2 weeks away apparently.

Do you live under a rock?

In March 2020 he signed legislation that sent $1,200 per eligible single adult and $2,400 for married couples, plus $500 per qualifying child

In late December 2020, he authorized an additional round of direct payments of up to $600 per eligible adult and dependent but advocated for $2000 per adult.

And this month, the idiot sent a million people $500 Obamacare refund checks because they were treated "very badly." In other words, he's trying to buy their votes with our tax dollars.

An ironic and as expected from you, non-sensical response to an answer about Trump stimulus checks.

No need to vote Democrat Screech, you'll get a lot more free money from this Republican administration, in fact, you've got a $2000 tariff rebate check coming, a $5000 DOGE dividend check coming and another $5000 check if you vote Republican.

If you add it up, that's a sweet 2.5 TRILLION right there home squatch. FREE, FROM REPUBLICANS!

This “argument” was over the minute you were on the other side. You don’t make arguments, you regurgitate tired MAGA talking points either from your outside echo chamber or from the other MAGAts in here. You don’t stay on point, you don’t deliver a point, you make generalized hyperbolic statements, you have no empirical data or actual evidence to support the breadth of said statements. Honestly, me even acknowledging the incoherent, random diatribes you spew an “argument” is an act of kindness.
