At least in our lifetimes. It’s unprecedented for Bear fans to have a QB like that.
It's going to be very hard to win up there. Their defense is legit, especially against the run. JJ on JSN will be embarrassing, not sure of Muhammad's status but a rookie vs JSN might not fair much better.....sorry to be doom and gloom here but I had this as a L when I first saw the schedule and I'm sticking to it. I will be extremely happy if I'm wrong!SEA looked good last night, gonna be a test next Monday in Sea.
Already picked the Seahawks.SEA looked good last night, gonna be a test next Monday in Sea.
Getting the best DT in football can be pricey but when trying to win the Super Bowl it’s worth it.Bears trading for Titans DT Jeffrey Simmons
Had to give up two 1sts and a 4th.
Yep, 3 year $105 mil extension kicks in next year. Great pick up for sure but wonder how it will effect extending those currently on rookie contracts when he's pulling in $30 mil/yearWow, signed through 2030 as well.
With expiring contracts and cuts next season the Bears could have up to $60m in open cap space. For all of his faults, Poles has managed the cap wellYep, 3 year $105 mil extension kicks in next year. Fair point but they’ll figure it out. I’m no cap expert but Sweats suspension made his guaranteed money into non-guaranteed. Need to see how that correlates with cap hit if they move on after this year.Yep, 3 year $105 mil extension kicks in next year. I think this is the end of Sweat in ChicagoI love it. Arguably the best DT in the league. All Pro, not Pro Bowl. 11 sacks from the DT position is insane. Hefty price for sure but if they are going to be as good as we all think they will be those will be lower picks.
We gave up two first rounders for Mack and it hurt us then because we weren't built for the future as well as this team is and not having those picks hurt us....but this team is built so much better then that team was. Great move.
He was also Sweats teammate at Mississippi State, maybe he can light a fire up in him.
Did you subtract the $22.5m Simmons will now take up? I know the number will obviously change but where are you getting $60 mil in cap space next year if they're currently at -$41 mil for next year. With expiring contracts and cuts next season the Bears could have up to $60m in open cap space. I don't know when his contract is up but I won't be sad if he goes. His time in Chicago has been inconsistent and average at best.I think this is the end of Sweat in Chicago
Why does a DT mean the end of and a DE? If anything having the best DT in the league and a rusher from the secondary like Gordon only helps Sweat, so the OL has to worry about more than one person.I think this is the end of Sweat in Chicago
I think it's more if they can shed the money after this year they will seriously think about it.Why does a DT mean the end of and a DE? If anything having the best DT in the league and a rusher from the secondary like Gordon only helps Sweat, so the OL has to worry about more than one person.

He's under contract for another year and would only be a $4 mil dead cap hit if the cut him, but I don't see them moving on from him without a better or equal replacement and they currently don't have that on the roster. We'll see who's available in free agency but I'd bet he'll still be there next year.I think it's more if they can shed the money after this year they will seriously think about it.
Completely reasonable as well. As much as we all want more from him as fans, he isn't bad. He is still the best DE they have until someone steps up and is consistent. He's under contract for another year and would only be a $4 mil dead cap hit if the cut him, but I don't see them moving on from him without a better or equal replacement and they currently don't have that on the roster. Much like last year. People complained about him but he still finished with 10 sacksCompletely reasonable as well. As much as we all want more from him as fans, he isn't bad. He is still the best DE they have until someone steps up and is consistent.
I think it would be best for all involved for him to just have a really really good second half+ of the year.
Ya AH is gonna happen.Seeing more and more reports that an AH stadium deal coming out after the election
Maybe teaming up with his college teamate will fire him up a little. Here is a positive take on Sweat. He is certainly embarrassed by the suspension, he has had two weeks to get fully healthy. Maybe he has a monster game Monday...
Maybe the PEDs will have a delayed effect.Maybe teaming up with his college teamate will fire him up a little.
swallowing hard? I think there is excitement and enjoying the ride.I do, however, like the fact it's a gutsy move. But I will guarantee the majority of Bears fans are swallowing hard right now.![]()
