You've heard of playing down to your competition. Now you're hearing about playing below your competition, lol.Yeah, true I suppose but what bites is neither did Minnesota it feels like. Sucks.
You might want to take down your thread about Lester opening up the offense because we have 2 great QB’s.Why we didn't show up mentally is inexcusable
10-2 aint happening. But yes you're right about a chance at 9-3. More likely we lose 2 more to get the typical 8-4. So what does it matter really? One of heck or Hank is going to bolt after the season anyway. Just wasting timeThe season isn’t done (except for any chance at the playoffs, which I never thought they would make, anyway). There is still hope for 9-3, and even a very slim chance at 10-2.
Throwing Sullivan or Bessinger out there would be a disaster, IMO. Give them reps in any blowouts, yes. Otherwise have a true QB competition in camp next year.
Never had seen the likes of it before. It's like shooting yourself in the foot until all your toes are gone.I was, however, surprised at how embarrassingly bad they were.
Let's not let the coaches off the hook here. Yes the players made many mistakes but Kirk and Co. were thoroughly outcoached by Minnesota. They had our offense on lockdown the entire game.
Who actually plays to win.Time to just defer the NIL funds for a year to the BBall team. We have a championship level Coach there
Aint good when your starter aint doin' no good, and your backup aint no good neither.
If not for this bone headed play....
They almost looked like they had a tell exposed. Knew when we were going to that bootleg TE pass every time.Let's not let the coaches off the hook here. Yes the players made many mistakes but Kirk and Co. were thoroughly outcoached by Minnesota. They had our offense on lockdown the entire game.
137 yards, 1 INT, O TDs, and a 90.4 QBR allowed is poor pass defense?Poor offense. Decent run defense. Poor pass defense. Special teams AWOL.
100%. Maybe you find something in the others ….these 2. No.Lol like Hank was any better. I wish Kirk would just come out and admit Hank is his favorite. I would actually have more respect
But ultimately it doesn't matter. Both QBs are so average...at best. Do we really have to put up with one of these guys the next 2 years?
Let's rip the bandaid off and start playing Sullivan or Bessinger if they have shown any ability to be decent QBs. No harm in trying to play for the futurr at this point. Season is done anyway for any meaningful outcome
Defense was really good. #96 was amazing!137 yards, 1 INT, O TDs, and a 90.4 QBR allowed is poor pass defense?
Are you serious? You can't be.....Heck wasn't as on as last week but this game was lost when KF went to Brown.

Heck doesn't make the two throws that Hank hit for our only TD. Not as big of an armAnd things went so much better with Hank…..

The rushes to passes was 30-20. Maybe should have relied more on the passing rather than rushing? Hard to say when you sucked today on both ends. They bottled us up at the LOS.we literally handed Floyd over to the Goofs
is it right that we don't play Minny again until 2030?
Oh thanks for reminding me!we literally handed Floyd over to the Goofs

Did they get rid of the rivalry games rule?we literally handed Floyd over to the Goofs
is it right that we don't play Minny again until 2030?
I think he deserved to work a little more in this game to see if he could get out of his funk. Both quarterbacks aren’t power4 quarterbacks, but somehow they’re on the Iowa roster which we know our quarterback evaluation is the worst in the Big Ten. So there might be a slight chance that Kirk and Company made a mistake by pulling him today. The results couldn’t have been any worse cause we lost.why do you say that?
#3’s bank account’s better be examined after lining up in CanadaThe gifted 7 points from being lined up like 2 feet offsides just cast a pall over the rest of the second half.
Incredibly bone headed and costly penalty.
Well, I'm guessing he feels terrible about it but yeah, he might as well have been carrying a neon sign reading "OFFSIDES" it was that obvious.#3’s bank account’s better be examined after lining up in Canada
Heck wasn't as on as last week but this game was lost when KF went to Brown.
A play action pass in the first half set up Diaz for a wide open pass for an easy TD. Good blocking gave Heck a solid pocket to deliver the ball. What happened? His throw wasn't even close. RVZ drops a pass in his hands that bounces to a Gopher DB in the 2nd half.Let's not let the coaches off the hook here. Yes the players made many mistakes but Kirk and Co. were thoroughly outcoached by Minnesota. They had our offense on lockdown the entire game.
Who threw a TD pass and who threw an int in an easy FG field position? And things went so much better with Hank…..
He’s had a rough season frankly.#3’s bank account’s better be examined after lining up in Canada
This has gambling written on it4 TOs and a blocked punt. 3 other fumbles we had that we recovered. A dropped INT that would’ve sealed it essentially. Basically we tried everything possible to try and lose and finally succeeded
And whose fault is it that these are the QBs we have to choose from?A play action pass in the first half set up Diaz for a wide open pass for an easy TD. Good blocking gave Heck a solid pocket to deliver the ball. What happened? His throw wasn't even close. RVZ drops a pass in his hands that bounces to a Gopher DB in the 2nd half.
I don't understand why everyone is sold on Heck. He's extremely inconsistent and Brown is just marginally better.
If he needs to be reminded how Fing bad that play was, I'll be happy to let him know. He cost Iowa the game. Period.he's never gonna forget making that bone headed play that cost Iowa the game
98 yard TD drive. I'll take that every time. And things went so much better with Hank…..
